Can someone tell me where to find an official up to date list of Iphones that support Trueplay that a SONOS or IOS update has not broken. Also if anyone in the community has an older iphone that trueplay still works on id appreciate it if you could comment your model and IOS version here. FWIW I used to use an iphone 7 but its no longer supported so im forced to buy a new 1. I was bidding on an iphone 12 but was told a Sonos app update broke Trueplay on this device so i backed out. I recently bought in ceiling speakers and kinda pissed of not being able to tune them :(
app won’t play to my speakers. have reinstalled, logged out and in, etc. I can see and select and adjust volume but when i play music it says it cannot connect. I cannot use the app to play music. worst update ever.
Hey Sonos,Just my 2 cents worth in case you are listening…I was really exciting/optimistic for the release of the new Sonos App!I don’t need to repeat the long list of gripes/problems that I and others are having with the App.I think that you have unfortunately dropped the ball with releasing an App “update?” that is buggy and lacks quite a LOT of the functionality that was included in your “old” S2 App. You probably should have left the old S2 App available for download until the new App is up to standard and contains a feature set that at least matches what is in your old S2 App.The lack of pre-warning from you regarding the number of missing features in the new app makes me question the level of respect you have for your existing Sonos customer base, which is concerning to me and should also be to you.I personally think that you are betting a LOT on the success of the new products being released later this year. Therefore annoying your existing customer base with releasing what I w
Impossible d'écouter radio france avec la nouvelle application Sonos sur un Sonos one, me redemande sans cesse de me déconnecter et de me connecter, quelqu'un(e) sait il(elle) faire?Merci Moderator edit:Google Translate- Impossible to listen to Radio France with the new Sonos application on a Sonos one, keeps asking me to disconnect and connect, does anyone know how to do this?THANKS
Can somebody tell me please how to add iTunes to the new Sonos S2 app? It is amazing how much time I wasted to figure things out, and even called customer service. Was on hold for 72minutes. Thank you for the help.
I have owned Sonos products for many years and this latest upgrade has robbed me of the use of my Arc and 2 subwoofers. They won’t connect to the system giving an error message. My 5’s and SL’s work as single elements but this is not good enough. The other problem areas mentioned by the very many disgruntled members also apply to me. I ask that you revert back to the previous iOS version while you go back and fix the many issues. I paid a lot of money for your products and insist you give me an app that enables me to use all the functions.
Over night my library dissapeared . Was listening to music at 2 am, this morning its gone, and thats with the old, desktop software. Cant help be feel we are being attacked by the russians….
Please help,I have recently had new broadband fitted and I cannot use the Sonos app. It’s stating the owner needs to sign in however I am the owner.
Since installing the new app I lost my sub, it's just not possible to add to groups due to "connectivity issues". The system still sees the sub as present, so no idea what the problem is. After about an hour of tinkering or so I gave up, deleted the new app and sideloaded the old app (16.1). And guess what, I added the sub with no problems… Unbelievable how a broken product like the new app can get released in the current state. Even if this gets fixed, the reputational damage to Sonos will definitely have impact on sales. So anyways, I can highly recommend sideloading the old app and turning off auto updates.
Amazing that Sonos tech support has no clue how to tune the system since the new app was released with a bug that causes it to freeze when you hit Continue to start the tones. Here’s what works until they get around to fixing it which should have been found BEFORE releasing the “upgrade”. Change the source to a music app from your TV. I used Spotify. While a song is playing go to the Tuning and launch it to retune. When you rotate the phone (using latest iOS here) this time when you hit Continue it should work. Rebooting phone as Sonos is telling everyone is a waste of time. Hope this helps!
I’ve been dealing with this most of the day.I made the mistake of updating my sonos app.Now it won’t recognize my speakers - I’m trying to install my move and five.I’ve factory reset them and added them back again to the app.Now it says they’re not registered. I click on register and the “fix it” button does nothing.I’ve reset the app, re-installed the app, logged out and logged back in - none of those have made a difference. This is extremely frustrating. Things were working just fine and with the new update, it’s all messed up.I’ve been on hold with support for 45 minutes so far.Is there a fix to this? EDIT: my other speakers (beam and amp) are working fine so it’s not a wifi issue.
While iffy, the old app was still usable when the system glitched and wouldn't connect to wifi. And even though a soft reboot was not an option to due to lack of IT intelligence, a reboot of the entire network (which caused a pain in the arse for many other IoT devices) would work. But now, the bright sparks have introduced an app upgrade that I just don't understand as a technical engineer, because they've somehow disabled most of my speakers. 300s no longer work, sub no longer works, only the arc connected to ethernet works since the upgrade…Well done lads, I needed some expensive bookends! FYI, as an update, the fix…While you removed app capability from the sonos app, you can get speakers working with a lot of awkward dicking about through home assistant. The new and improved app just took us back to an erra of faults and problems. Cheers for lost hours guys through premature deployment and release guys! Can one of you please respond rather than ignore! I paid over £2000 for this se
the last forced upgrade does not work on Windows 7. This old PC is just for running my music library and has worked up until now. Then Sonos forces an upgrade and without warning I now have a useless system that will not play my music library.
Is Sonos 2 App version 80.00.08 faulty? 16.05.2024Eight weeks ago, I purchased a pair of Sonos Move 2 speakers and have been using them as a stereo pair to my satisfaction. However, after updating the Sonos 2 App to version 80.00.08 on my iPhone (iOS version 17.5) today, only the left stereo speaker is functioning.I’ve tried restarting my iPhone, deleting and reinstalling the Sonos 2 App, and resetting both Move 2 speakers, but the issue persists. In the new app version, I’m unable to connect the two Move 2 speakers as a stereo pair, even though both devices are properly connected to the router and appear as individual devices in the app. Additionally, I couldn’t perform any updates on the speakers.Since the Move 2 stereo pair worked flawlessly with my iPhone prior to this Sonos 2 App update, it seems there might be an issue with the new app version. I kindly request your technical assistance. bedoubleyou
Upon installing the new sonos app on my iPhone 14 pro, my boost was no longer listed as part of the system. I reinstalled the boost but now I get a prompt that says the boost cannot be registered to my account. I’ve gone through 3 resets of the boost, and rebooted my modem, router and Synology where the music library resides. Still no fix. Can’t get to my music library now. Help.
I’ve eventually got my old phone to install the app (iPhone 14 won't) but when I link my speakers in different rooms there is a lag, sometimes I get I can not connect. I have even had speakers playing but as they are not showing in the app as connected I cannot control volume by app. And trying to change music and pick a different playlist seems a lottery. Even replaying a song seems to cause the system to go into melt down and speakers disconnect. Anyone else experiencing these issues?
Since the new app installation when I open Sonos on my android phone it takes about 2 mins to start. Then it often tells me a software update is required, so I click on get updates but it can't find updates etc etc. My partner also has an android phone which is not getting this issue. Anybody got a clue?
Es gibt vergleichsweise gute Alternativen Unterschrift Farbsammler Moderator Edit: Google Translate- It's outrageous for an expensive system to issue such a poor release. Why isn't the old app reinstalled? Why is Sonos forcing their suggestions on us? Why can't I sort radio stations according to my preference? I will advise my friends and acquaintances not to go to Sonos. There are comparatively good alternatives to signature color collectors
I have just upgraded the app on my iPhone. I am now getting a message when selecting the line-in from your sources and then selecting a device ‘unable to connect-please try again later’. My Wi-Fi signal to all my devises is showing as strong! Why can’t I get a connection? Many thanks
Can we have the old version back, this update is worse than anything I have ever experienced. How did it get through any QA process?
Good morning !I thought I saw an alert on my app telling me that with the upcoming Sonos update my library was going to be deactivated because it was obsolete. but I didn't take the time to read and I don't see anything anymore...Does this speak to you?my library is on PC in windows 11 familyThank you in advance for your help…William
Since updating to the new app. I cannot see or add my old Gen 1 PLay 1s and 3s. Any ideas or help anyone. Have tried all the fixes.
Has anyone else noticed that the support for playing local music files is incrementally just withering away? As someone who tends to buy music digitally (Bandcamp, Amazon etc) rather than stream, my entire reason (and many others’) for investing so deeply in the Sonos ecosystem is becoming moot.First, they removed the ability to play music stored on a mobile device. This was a big step down for me personally, because I tended to keep the ‘heavy rotation’ stuff in my collection on my phone, due to (relatively) limited storage space. It wound up sending me to my computer to manually divvy my collection into two folders (‘Heavy’ and ‘Light’ rotation). Not the end of the world, but still a pretty big inconvenience.Next, they recently disabled the ability to search for songs on a local music library. This was pretty awful and sent me to look for Sonos alternatives, despite the big investment. If you wanted to listen to your local music library, you had to manually navigate to it and brows
I have just recently gotten the sonos system n linked the arc, sub n sonos one to my sonos app on my android Samsung phone. I use Spotify and have no problem playing it via my phone, Windows laptop n desktop. The spotify app is able to detect the Sonos speakers, however it is not able to link to the speakers n play through it. It is all connected to the same WiFi network. Is there anything I am missing?
My S2 Android app updated itself overnight ( I thought I had turned auto update off but I guess not)Now I cannot see or play from my local library. Some of the items that were saved to favorites are there but greyed out. I’ve seen others complain about losing search for their libraries but mine is just gone. I saw one thread that mentioned having to locate the library as a “source” but I’m just not seeing it.When I talked to a support rep via chat, he told me that local library support is just gone for now. Is that really true? Can anyone who still can at least play songs from their library explain how to locate it on the android app?The only computer I have regular access to is a work-issued machine so installing the windows app isn’t an option.
