Hi @Ian_S I see no evidence of multicast flooding on your network. The Play:3 is definitely struggling a bit - it’s CPU usage is pegged at 100%, and I suspect this will be the reason behind any playback issues on it. It also has only 1660 bytes of free memory. Please try a reboot of the Play:3. As for the rest of your Sonos system (well, and the Play:3 too), it seems the main issue is that the speakers are occasionally not getting connected to WiFi when they try - I see deauthorisation errors. This used to occur back before we supported 5GHz, but a router would try to steer a speaker on to 5GHz anyway. This is happening with multiple speakers and both APs. I’m not sure why this is happening, but I recommend that you give SonosNet a go by re-enabling WiFi on your ethernet-wired Port: Settings » [room with Port] » Port » Enable WiFi - this will result in less DEAUTHs and better connectivity, hopefully. The answer may be in our Supported WiFi modes and security standards for Sonos produ
I’ve got a home wireless network, and another Starlink-powered wifi network in my Sprinter van.I want to be able to, well, move two Sonos Move 2s between those two networks -- use it at home when I’m at home, and use it on the road when I’m in the Sprinter. This has proven really, really vexing. It’s not immediately clear if this is even possible to do this. After a bunch of research I learned that I can register more than one wifi network as “trusted” in the app. When I registered a second network as trusted, my Move disappeared from the primary network. I got a “system not found” error in the app.I then tried to re-register the Move 2 on the original network. The app found one of the Moves but not the other one.I had to do a factory reset on the Moves to get them to work on the original network again.Am I missing something? Is there an easier way to use the Move on more than one network?
Je n'arrive pas à connecter mon enceinte à mon réseau WiFiLors de la mise en route, l'appareil ne clignote qu'en vert et non en vert et blanc Que faire ?
I’m using google assistant on my Arc. Often the microphone will activate by itself and the LED on the arc will light up except I haven’t said “hey google” or “okay google” and nothing resembling these words have been spoken.I’ve tried reinstalling Google voice assistant and even tried moving the soundbar away from the TV as this had been suggested at some point. This has been an issue ever since I bought the unit November 2022
Here are the problems I am having. It appears to me you can only add one song at a time to the queue. I cannot find a method to add a whole folder. How lame. Update: It does appear you can play a folder from the music library search results. Only one folder, not folder and subfolders. I cannot find a search function, except for the music library. For example, searching the Amazon playlists for a particular list. For me, I will probably continue to use my Sonos gear until they break the Windows app. At that point I will probably move onto a different product. Last I saw Sonos says they are discontinuing the Windows app. The Android app does not hold a candle to the Windows app.Seems to me that Sonos does not understand what attracted users to their products and are working hard to alienate their users. Good luck with that as a business model.
For those who have successfully installed today's update…Is there anything actually useful there?
So i have a Sub Gen 2, back from 2018. Recently i have heard a rattling whenever there is low frequency, loud volumes. Contacted support, and they after testing the connection to speakers, concluded that the problem lies in the sub. They offered me to send it back to them, and they will give me a discount (after I ship back the old sub to them) to buy a new one. (It’s really not that much considering there’s a 20% sale now) . Does this sound fair ? It’s a 6 year life span for a sub woofer ?interestingly when I lie the sub flat on the ground? That seems to be minimal or less rattle compared to when it is upright would there be anything I can do to repair it?

Moderator edit:Google Translate-Since the last update, I can no longer connect the music library to Sonos. When I select the command "Add music folder" and click on "My music folder", the message "The Sonos system could not add the music folder. Unable to add the folder share "I/Rolands-Mac-mini/Music" to the music library (913)" appears. How can I fix this error?
Anyone else like me and currently too scared to update their sonos library + desktop app just in case it gets screwed even more than it currently is? (lesson learned after automatic ios update)Sonos are going to have to do some BIG gestures to earn trust back from their customers.
As of August 1 2025, Sonos is finally displaying my music library. I can see a list of my iTunes playlists. However, when I add a playlist to Sonos’s favorite, Sonos starts using some cryptic internal code for the playlist name. I can’t tell which playlist is which from the names used.
Problem Free Imported Playlist Solution:I was one of the victims of Sonos’s recent upgrade in May. I lost everything and was unable to play music until August, still without my imported playlists. Work arounds proved faulty. My music library would appear and disappear forcing me to do another significant reload. The NAS work around has proven satisfactory but not ideal. My external hard drive is not a NAS, why are we treating it as such?Sonos support was completely unacceptable; the representatives were polite enough and while apologetic (offering nothing but empty promises that these issues would be fixed in future) proved completely unable to resolve the issue Call wait times are oft north of 75 minutes and level 2 technicians have to be scheduled weeks in advance. The CEOs letter trying to mitigate the situation left me apoplectic. My imported playlists have never returned. And given the dearth of actual support, I gave up. Admittedly, the imported playlists (when they worked) wer
Having read a few of the now closed threads on Arc and Beam power cables, I thought I would just share my experience having applied some of the advice suggested. I have a first generation Beam. It was all good for a long time, but at some point in the past year, the power cable became unplugged. I popped it back, the Beam returned to power, all good. Except it wasn’t. I began to notice intermittent loss of sound and realised the cable was very loose. A quick browse of the forum tonight, and a few people commented that the cable needs a firm shove into the socket to make it fit snugly. I tried, and can confirm that was the problem with my loose cable! So for anyone struggling with a Beam power cable that appears to be plugged in flush but is loose, just push it in more firmly, and it should slide in and become a nice snug fit. Thanks to the tip on the now closed Beam and Arc power cable threads.
I have a playbar, boost and sub in my living room. They have always worked, but Ever since the app update my sub won't assign to the living room so I can use it. The playbar is working with music that I play and tv that I watch. When I go to sonos system info, it shows playbay is assigned to living room, boost and sub are unavailable. When I click on living room, then connect sub, it says let's assign your sub to the living room. When I click on the speaker icon below the picture of the sub, my sub will play. But will not add it to the living room. I have a diagnostic test ***********.Moderator edit: Diagnostic number recorded and removed
Cannot hear sound from tv
PLEASE add an option to Shuffle the Songs in Apple Music Library. This exists for Spotify, it exists for our local music library, it should be able to exist for Apple Music. Here are the “workarounds” and why they are bad:“Just shuffle play in the Apple Music app and airplay to your sonos!” - Then we miss out on Lossless quality, which is reduced over airplay. Plus it’s much better to keep things within the Sonos ecosystem and limit the number of different apps we need to do simple things. “Just start playing any song in your library, and then enable shuffle” - This does not work. The queue will be empty. “Just use the My Station feature in Apple Music” - this is not the same as shuffling an entire library. It’s just some playlist that an algorithm creates, so you can hear familiar songs over and over.
Hello from Finland,I have been using Sonos system for 13 years. I have six different Sonos speakers. Half of them legacy S1 -only speakers and half modern ones. I finally realized I have to move to S2 and forget old speakers. I just realized that Sonos playlists don’t move from S1 to S2. I have couple 500 song playlists. I opened S2 and uppgraded new speakers to S2. Then I saw that playlists don’t move. I figured out that I have to manually move playlists to Spotify. Half a days work but possible. I opened S1 and started moving playlists by hand. I realised that I don’t have inaf time to do that at that day so I came back to do that couple days later (today) and S1 don’t open. It just says open S2. I deleted S2 app and cut new speakers from electricity. Won’t help. Can’t get S1 to open. See that old speakers flashes at app before it says “Us S2 app”. Are now old playlists destroyed? Can I do something to get old lists back? My wife will kill me for this..

My Airpods Max can pause and resume video content I’m watching when I press the digital crown or take them off.I expected this to work with the Sonos Ace using TV audio swap as well, but it doesn’t. As far as I know, HDMI-CEC supports play / pause operations, so the headphones could tell the soundbar to tell the TV to play / pause. Is this feature infeasible for some reason, or is this something that could be supported in the future?
Curiosity …What can I learn from the information I can see when I go to ‘About my Sonos system…’ ?I understand the serial numbers (MAC addresses plus a character), Sonos OS (mine are all S2), IP addresses, and wireless modes (presently mine are all WM:0).I take the hardware version and ‘Version’ (software version) to be self-explanatory.Series ID is interesting. I wonder what it means.OTP is even more interesting. Some of my players have this and some not. I wonder whether it’s something to do with SonosNet. Perhaps, if I understood it, I’d know which players are supporting which other players in the network. This could be useful if I were planning to move them. FYI, presently only the Boost is wired to my router. Peter
Beam + 2x Era300 + Sub Mini 2 Hi all, The sofa is centered against the TV.You see I don't have plenty of space to move. I am thinking of getting wall mounts and I want to place the Era300 in 30* degree. Listening plenty of music, sometimes movies. What would be the best position to place them taking into account my situation for the best Atmos? Thank you
AGAIN!When im listening music on Spotify through WiFi, i can’t control volume using IPhone buttons. Same thing happened few months back, on both of my speakers (Move and Roam). When i want to turn the volume up (using buttons) suddenly the volume bar pops out and i have to slide it left or right to adjust my volume. It’s the only way to control it.To sum up. If im playing the music on wifi mode and want to change the volume (and my iPhone is laying on the table, blocked), instead of just clicking the buttons, i have to pick it up, unlock, open Spotify, THEN click the buttons on the side, THEN the volume bar pops up and i can change it by sliding left or right… Is this a joke?
HiI have a Sonos Connect S1 and I would like to see my Upnp server or access to the file.I have a netgear Ax1800. The serveur is see by buble upnp and files aslo with VLC.But Conect S1 do not propose the content of the netbios repository and I cannot create an access to the files. I have multiple problems with my garbage sonos system. Fixes are always temporary and I have gotten in a habit to always reset my android phone, wi fi, and unplug every sonos piece of garbage on my system before plugging them back AFTER the wi fi is back online. That does not always work on the first run. I own a garbage beam, garbage playbar, 2 garbage SLs, a garbage sub, and a garbage move 2. I have been using the latest garbage app since it was launched. Somebody please help with this sonos garbage.
