After the latest update 80.09.05 I still only get 100 tracks to load into the queue when starting a playlist I created in Amazon Music. Other services are not suffering the same restriction.
Running the old S1 app was thinking of moving to the S2 app which now seems to have been replaced with a cloud based app (which seems to have issues hopefully Sonos will sort that soon)but my main question is if this new app is cloud based what happens if your internet goes down or the Sonos server stops working would the app still be able to connect to your local library?
Hi all - I just purchased a Move and pleased with the sound, but what I’m not too pleased about is the fact that it appears that I cannot control the volume of the Move when I play anything using the Sonos app. If I connect the phone to the Move with bluetooth I can indeed control the volume. Is it just me, or does anyone else have the issue that they can’t control the volume when using the IOS Sonos app? Appreciate any inputs as it’s very frustrating.
I have a Sonos Amp (hardwired to the network) remotely located in a closet, I am trying to pair a Sonos Sub (on the WiFi). It is on the other side of the home so the sub loses connection to the amp. I can move the sub closer to the middle of the home and the sub responds when the music is on, but this is useless for the application. Tech support tells me its due to the "Sonos Net" not reaching the sub from the amp. Has anyone figured out how to extend the "Sonos Net" signal?
So I’ve had Sonos for almost 10 years. My Playbar and Sub has been running all that time with zero issues. I might have gad to connect my Sub once or twice in all that time. Playbar is still running perfectly today. In December last year I decided to treat myself and finally get those One SL’s as surround sound (late to the party). It was great for the first 2 months. Then all of the sudden they started acting up. They disconnected. One connected the other one didn’t. Then they worked. I had to reboot router several times a week and restart my speakers and do the reconnect. I struggled with that for a month. Then suddenly one of the speakers just didn’t want to connect anymore. I spent two days with support and they finally decided to send me a new one. They messed with my network (which wasn’t an issue before and never has been) and the new speaker came and everything got connected and it worked. Sort of. It never runs smoothly. Sometimes they disappear in the app, and only one speaker
Looking for a way to stream replay’s of BBC radio shows like Gilles, Benji, etc. through the Sonos app experience. I have been leveraging Airplay 2 for this, but has intermittent drops.Ideally, we’d be able to add log into our https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds account and replay all our saved radio shows via an in-app Sonos experience.Thank you for reviewing my request and love Sonos. PS - I appreciate the new in-app experience and the acknowledgement / transparency with which Sonos has handled the changes. Bravo..!
Auto play for the line in of my Port is back in the app again. That’s great, and it seems to work. However it is not working as it should be. At least not how it worked before. It works all just fine when I played my music (with Spotify) and later (Spotify is paused/stopped playing) I turn on my tv which is connected to the line in port. Then the Port automatically starts playing the line in and changes the volume to the preset value. But now I have changed the Line in volume while watching tv. I stopped watching and after a while my Port auto pauses the line in. Great. But now, when later I start watching tv again, the Port only resumes playing the Line in and leaves the volume untouched. Why is that? Why isn’t the volume changed to the preferred setting for auto play?
There can’t be much positive said about the new app, just watch the threads in this community and other relevant fora.On my OnePlus Nord CE 5G, the app most often just shuts down within seconds. When it does start, it knows nothing about my system. (clear cache sometimes helps, uninstall/reinstal also tried)I am a loyal Sonos customer with Sonos Arc Sonos Sub, Sonos Move, and Sonos One, and I feel the value of this big investment is drastically reduced without a working app.If you insist on this complete redesign of the App, why don’t you introduce it as a new app, and see if it catches on with the users, and leave the old version in maintenance - or perhaps make it open source for people to maintain in a democratic way.
Just about to retire my last ZP100 have got hold of 2x Play 3 to replace it and thought I’ll update to S2 was also thinking of getting a ARC as well but looking at the forum. It doesn’t seem a good idea.Did any one who used S1 and moved to S2 before the disaster update think of the differences?
Since the latest Sonos app change Sonos fails to find my iMac Music Library despite giving the path location. I was told that by now Sonos would have fixed this. Has anyone else had success?
I inherited a restaurant with a sonos system in place. I don’t know what the speaker types are but they are all wired to an amp which is connected to 2 ports, one labeled for half of the restaurant and the other the opposite half. Issue is, they both control random speakers throughout the restaurant, one speaker doesn’t even seem to be connected.. There aren’t many, maybe 20-25 speakers max. I don’t really need 2 seperate channels.. It’s too small a place to play 2 different sounds at once. That’s not all.. What had happened was.. the amp was not the right size for the power and was making some wild noises so a friend offered to swap it out for another that could handle the input. (I don’t know crap about this so bear with me on the terminology. I’m a chef.. I’ll filet you a fish or make you a souffle without batting an eyelash but I am probably going to sound like an idiot going forward). The speaker wires are all jammed into the available black and red wire spots in the back.. onl
I was pleased to discover yesterday that the functionality to mute individual rooms (products) had been reinstated. I tend to have all my products grouped together and mute and unmute them as I move around the house, as it’s easier than constantly grouping and ungrouping rooms.I’ve been experimenting with it today and it is completely useless, because whenever I change the group volume it automatically unmutes every product (unlike on the old app). How could anybody think that this is the desired behaviour? Isn’t there anybody left at SONOS with a brain?
The Manage link under settings needs to be modified/updated to make it clear it is a tapable button. There are lots of edible settings under this that people think have been taken away.
Mijn toegevoegede NAS (alleen met pc app te installeren) verdwijnt weer snel uit mijn app op mijn iphone Moderator edit:Google Translate-My added NAS (can only be installed with the PC app) quickly disappears from my app on my iPhone
The sound bar stopped working after I turned off the TV and turned it back on. Nothing had changed otherwise.
Dear Sonos,Given the situation we are currently in, it would be really helpful if you delivered some decent release notes with both application updates and speaker firmware. Confidence is not very high at the moment and it would make it better for people if they could at least see if there is something in there that might help them, or whether they’d rather stick with where they are for now. I know that’s probably not what the developers and support staff want, but I’m also not sure we want to continue being unwitting testers either… I think it’s also been long enough now that you ought to be able to give us some idea of what the fundamental changes are in this new ecosystem, and what some of the challenges are.
What is the future of the old white Connect? How long will it work? How long will the S1 app work?
Ok I have posted before about my recent entry into Sonos world. BUT WOW the mismatch (black/white) pair is so good I have it on almost the whole day while working at home. I have S1 and stream FLAC from my NAS and also play radio station (Poet’s Corner my favourite). Totally worth AU$300 I paid for the clean pair on facebook. Hope the next time I upgrade I can pickup a pair of Gen2 at this price. So sorry to hear about people’s firmware and update issues.
Acabo de instalar Sonos Arc con un sub y dos Era 300 y se escucha la música pero no el sonido de la TV que es una LG
Tengo sistema de red WiFi compartida y ni puedo conectar mi sonos a wiffi
Last update. What a drama! I’ve always been a huge fan of Sonos with many items in and around the house but after this last update I got so frustrated with the whole system;can’t select individual speakers for different music per room can’t get preferred radio channels to play, which I obviously always could before this update many speakers don’t give the sound level, subsequently can’t adjust the levels some speakers don’t appear in the list.all in all I’m so disappointed. What’s going on, Sonos?!?please repair these tragedies.
I would like to take every sonos speaker and throw it in the trash where it belongs, but I spent too much money so I gotta try to figure this out. Worst ever experience
