I’m unable to add an album to existing queue. Is this feature gone or am I missing it?

Sonos have really messed up with this new app. No standard funcionality, can’t access local library to update caché ,loads of new library additions not showing up. Zero queue function.Total waste of time.
Also I have a multi speaker/port system that has to be reset every time it is rebooted.I have to regroup everthing because the data for the grouping is held in the cloud. Easy answer, hold it in the app installed on the iOS / devices.

Please sort this Sonos. Many people have invested thousands of their hard earned cash into Sonos and you are absolutely quite frankly taking the biscuit, you need to enable people keep using what they have have even with system upgrades and releasing a new version that removes basic functionality is shocking. Forget “agile”, I am actually lost for words!!!!!!

This new app is straight unusable garbage, every where I turn there is a feature I use that is gone and nothing of value added. And it's slower too. Just bring back the old app. And fire your management.

Copied with a big “YES!!” From an earlier post
Oh, and for the Sonos folks that are monitoring this thread, I think one of the easiest things you can do is make the old version available again. It sounds like many people would go back to it without thinking twice.
To add to my frustration, my favourite radio station won't load.

New to the community (so apologies if asked already), however, with the introduction of the new Sonos app, where is the option to ‘Play next’, Crossfade, etc. am I going mad here, I just can’t find it! Also Sonos, you’ve brought this shiny new app version and still you don’t group artists into Albums, EPs, Live albums, instead just give us a long list to scroll through and finally, why don’t you show what content is in Dolby Atmos BEFORE I play it. Instead you need to play something to see if it’s been produced in Dolby Atmos, which is ridiculous. I thought all this would have been sorted Sonos, come on.

Please give us back the old Sonos app S2, while you guys take the time to get your head out of your butts and fix this colossal piece of crap update that you have inflicted us with. Give us back the old Sonos 2 app now!

Obviously Sonos believes all of their customers use the product for streaming only
They are mistaken
They REALLY should give us the option to roll back to the old version until the new one is ready for primetime (If it ever is)
I just downloaded an app called SonoPad from the App Store for $1.99 and although it is far from perfect, it DOES allow you to create and edit queues
i will use this until Sonos gets their act together (if ever)

I just use Spotify instead of the Sonos app to get to my songs and play them ... Haha. Thank god that still works...

I did the same. It’s not perfect, but it is leagues and leagues better than the absolute garbage Sonos has tried to ram down our throats.

Just piling on the dissatisfaction train. I do no streaming at all and I use Sonos exclusively to listen to thousands of CDs ripped to my NAS. Loss of the queue functionality is catastrophic. The main page interface is too busy and not intuitive. When searching for a specific artist, there are no longer search letter tabs to jump to artists by alphabetical name. If I want to listen to Yes, I have to scroll through hundreds of artists to get there. This is a devastating update.
Many are calling to give users access to the previous version. That would certainly be nice, but I’ve never seen any company do this ever. Maybe this time will be different.

The letter shortcuts are one of the many missing and deleted features from this app I’m afraid they will never bring back to the app. Literally dozens and dozens of issues. We are all basically non consenting beta testers and this sucks.

So the crossfade is actually there but you gotta look a little hard to find it.
The Play Next has been replaced by this thread where instead of Queueing songs you add to the Queue of complaints about the new app...

I ONLY use it for streaming, and it simply doesn't work at all. The best I can do is play ONE TRACK AT A TIME!

The new app is totally useless to me as I can’t play entire folders from my music library. So that’s over $800 of speakers rendered useless. And the rest of the app is just a bunch of error messages not giving me a clue what could be the problem. Is there any way to use Sonos speakers just as speakers (e.g. through Alexa or other products)?

When is the sleep timer getting reintroduced to the app? And the ability to add songs to the queue? Oh and the search facility isn’t what it used to be either. C’mon Sonos up the game please.

I primarily listen to my own library of FLAC file souced from a local librairy stored on a NAS, connected via ethernet to my router and and then to a Sonos Port. After the new update(May 2024) my local library would not show up on the android app. However, a Sonos playlist that sources from the NAS would play the songs from the NAS. The PC app worked as it always has. I deleted the data and cache from the app and hard stopped it. Now it will show my local library but I cannot go to my library and add to the queue. It will only let me replace the queue, not add to or edit! How could you screw up such a great app as you have now? So much of the mobile functionality is GONE. Please give us access to the previous version until you get this abomination straigtened out. Also, almost everytime I open the app it tells me that it cannot find my system, this is ridiculous. I tap on a set-uo a new system and it opens my existing systems.

Please fix the queue management option! Ridiculous that was removed. Everyone uses that feature. Also, add back automatic play from a line input on a Sonos port.
Pretty serious misses on this “New” “improved” app!

Not sure how queue management wasn't checked before release, but count me in as someone who does change his queue frequently.

Next to being able to play music on the speakers in the first place the add to queue is probably one of the most important features for me. Anything should be possible to be added to queue without replacing everything currently queued. Meaning both single songs or entire albums or playlists.
I had also hoped for the volume button integration on iOS to be back, but that seems a bit far out with all the other basic stuff missing in the new app right now.
at the moment I hardly see any improvement over the old app, the new UI is taking some getting used to but I won’t be complaining about that as I’ll probably get used to that with time so it’s not really a problem. But it really is a problem that the new app is missing so many good features we had in the old app.

Add to queue is gone. Why? This has to be an oversight. Bring it back, quickly! These updates are going in the wrong direction.
This has to be an oversight??? It’s unbelievable. This is a company we’re told with annual sales revenue amounting to around 1.6 billion U.S. dollars in its 2023 fiscal year. ]
So, do tell, who’s head of User Testing? They’ll be well remunerated. They signed it off, right?

Looks like SONOS released a proof of concept as a new version… So many features are missing. They should put back the old app version until the new one has all the features.

With the latest update, the option to add searched podcasts to the end of the current playlist has disappeared - instead at the end of a podcast it plays another episode. The useful graphic of what has been already played and podcast date have also vanished. Is this supposed to be an improvement?
