I’m unable to add an album to existing queue. Is this feature gone or am I missing it?

So download the latest update and in my opinion it is a POS.
No songs show in the queue so can’t add or remove songs, can’t see what’s going to play, can’t access to select crossfade.
Crossfade is there in the dot-dot-dot menu. So much is screwed up though. Even crossfade is now only an ON/OFF switch.

Going another night trying to use this app at home and another night of frustration. It’s just junk. Yet, developer pride and ego won’t let them admit it’s junk. Whoever defined the MVP and let it be released should be fired. The WSJ recently did something similar with their iPad app---ruined it. Both companies seem to be taking the stance that the customers are idiots and don’t realize what a wonderful improvement has been created.
Please bring back queue editing. This new format is also a mess. Just give us the old app even if pride is standing in the way with the developers.
The old app has been a problem for me for the last six months too though. Zones drop out, queue disappears for 5 minutes then comes back, I turn the volume down on the app and it reacts minutes later. What a mess. Up till last Fall I was the biggest fan/promotor of Sonos hardware and software. My patience is running out.

Please let us roll back to previous version while you fix all these issues with the new update. I really can’t understand why you release something that doesn’t have the features mentioned in the thread. Terrible.

With queue management not available (even if it’s temporary) I’m looking into other alternatives. Any one got any suggestions?

Same ↑ my old app, while tons better than this current hot mess, is laggy and slow to respond -- so much so, we joke in the family that when someone does something with Sonos we will hear it five minutes later.

Someone should be losing their job over this app update. Surely at some point there was a meeting among Sonos management and it was discussed what was being added and what was being removed. You would think they would then communicate this to a large enough beta group of users to provide realistic feedback. It’s beyond comprehension how this half finished, backwards step of an upgrade was allowed into the public domain.

Outstanding retro effort Sonos. No queuing, managed to turn streaming back into playing a CD.

Sonos - there’s this thing called UX - look it up. First time I have been disappointed in this brand, Not being able to manage the queue is like basic 101. I’m now trying to figure out how to transport back to Monday before I upgraded to this terrible app.

Not being able to manage the que is very frustrating. When you’re used to multiple family members being able to add to the que whenever they want, listening to music with Sonos has become a pain in the butt. An absolutely shocking update.

We all want to know 1 thing. WHEN will the queue functionality be returned to at least the same as v16.1?

Why would you release your app when it not ready? The best thing about Sonos is adding to the queue. Come on not a great start for the new app.

adding tracks/podcasts from multiple services to a single queue is basically what makes sonos useful.
now it's not even possible to queue tracks from a single service. it's now basically a useless app and renders the speakers equally unusable. wtf

Thank you for consolidating the feedback around this issue Jamie A. I’ll add that this ‘future update’ cannot come soon enough. I recommend Sonos give it the utmost priority. This is the single best feature of the system and app, the ability to collaboratively queue music from multiple sources on the fly. Whenever I’m talking Sonos up with others this is the main selling feature in my view.
Exactly right. That is why I bought Sonos. That is the primary feature I mentioned to others when talking about Sonos. Removing queue management eliminates the primary reason I bought Sonos and have put up with its ups and downs over the years. Without it, I will stop using Sonos. Period.

Under manage network, nothing is there. I am on sonosnet. See no way to change the channel. Also, no option to enter our WiFi credentials even if I wanted to.

Good point. I had similar issues with the old app recently but put them down to WiFi performance. Maybe not then!

While selecting music from My Library folders, it will no longer que up the contents of that folder.... With the new app, it will only Que one song. Unfortunately, we have built folders in My Library for years and this is how we use our Sonos products up until now! Any ideas on when we can get a fix?

But can you put a time frame on this and the ability to search your music library... I have a collection on my library of rarities that you simply cannot get on streaming services and the combination of no quick search on music library and ability to add and edit to queue has ruined the Sonos experience. Your hardware is great but this software app upgrade on the face of it has not been developed with previous feature set in mind and or poor testing prior to release.

Oh wow I'm really shocked at the loss of queue editing. I've been relying on this for home music listening for maybe a decade. Really underscores what I've felt a few times over this period - my home music ecosystem is problematically over reliant on Sonos, because functionality can disappear overnight (among other reasons).
I was quite shocked aswell, but Sonos have announced that queue-editing/functionality is coming to their new Sonos app. There’s a development timeline mentioned here somewhere in community posts, but perhaps suffice to say, it’s coming in the not too distant future. I’m eagerly awaiting this feature too.
Agree.. and coming from a software background Sonos should be able to publish a road map with timings for the features to return.. though to be frank if they truly understand their loyal and long standing customers they would never have released the upgrade without these basic features....moving forward and getter better is great but listen to how people use your product...

Have done this and now have the old version back. Phew! Having a BBQ soon and no queues would be a DISASTER!!

This is crazy. This was the biggest feature of Sonos being able to edit a queue. It's the reason I chose Sonos over Amazon speakers! Is there a way to go back to the old app?

It’s universal folks, the removal of queue editing (or queue anything) is a step in the wrong direction with the new Sonos app. As with the Amazon music app I also use in the car or with other devices, the editing feature which allows me to create a queue, or just choose the next song I want to hear (while already listening to one) is what makes the technology enjoyable. It appears Sonos released this app upgrade very premature. A word of advice is to ensure it is fully designed before releasing. Please update the new version to include queue editing and next song choosing. It’s a must.

Please, please, please, please, please bring back the old app. I run the product management team for a large organization. I would be fired if I released an application that removed basic features, is not intuitive and provides no value to the user! You were once highly regarded for innovation, it will take you a long time to recover from this mess. Very disappointed in Sonos.
