Sonos cannot find my Apple playlists, “Smart” or otherwise. This has been going on for some time, and I had hope that Sonos would - based on all of the months of comment posted here - come up with a fix. Not being able to access the playlists essentially makes the speakers useless for me. My library transfers and updates just fine, and I am not getting any more error messages. I just do not have any playlists transferring.
Has anyone found a solution for this in 2024? I have tried several things listed on this site to no avail, and clearly I am not alone.
I spent several hours over the past month seeking answers online and then finally an hour tonight with Sonos “Help”, much of which was waiting on hold. The latter resulted in nothing other than me being told that I needed to 1) contact Apple; 2) try some suggestions for security settings updates sent in an e-mail (all of which I had already tried, based on suggestions from users on this site), and 3) call Sonos back as needed. Found a previous thread from 11 months ago entitled “Apple Music Playlists: We've Run Into a Problem”, and yet this issue is still unsolved. Comments were shut off on that thread (with no resolution) and I see numerous other topics of the same ilk, and still no resolution.
Just adding this to add my voice to the apparent masses of frustrated Apple Music Library playlist users. I love the performance of the Sonos speakers when they work, but for the last year every time I try to play something there is an issue that requires a chunk of time updating, plugging and unpluggling, trouble-shooting, etc. To the Sonos support team: Please just tell us, yes or no, whether there is - or will be - an update the help those of us who use Apple Music Library playlists. Minus a clear solution from your end, I cannot afford to spend more time on my end trying to get your speakers to work.
