Hi, I tried to add a new Sonos One SL to my system last night using my Sonos S1 app, but it stalled. I eventually deleted that speaker, realising it must have shipped with the S2 operating system unlike my previous One SL.
However, the Sonos S1 apps I have running everywhere now refuse to start up. As soon as they start, I get a message saying I need the S2 app. There is no other option to ignore this.
I only have S1 devices on my system. I have 2 Sonos Connects & 1 Sonos One SL - all on S1. (My new One SL on S2 is not connected yet.) I can’t update these to S2 because the fixed in-wall Crestron screen won’t run the S2 controller. Apparently, the Crestron devices run an old Android system & Sonos has said they won’t make their S2 app work with these any longer. The Crestron can’t be updated from Crestron OS 2 because Crestron OS 3 doesn’t support the Philips Dynalite systems in the building. So, bottom line. I’m stuck with Sonos S1.
So, how do I get my apps working again with my system? The errors I’m getting are shown here:
