My Pixel phone just got updated to Android 10 and now there is no song listed on the lock screen. Just the artist and the controls. What happened? I tried to search for the answer but search is horrible on this forum. There is no way to sort by recent, it just jumbles them all up trying to show you what is relevant (it failed). Thanks - Steve
Got a notice on my iPhone today that Sonos is no longer going to make streaming from my iPhone an option for some bs reason. It will require you to stream from a Mac or a computer or buy a hub. Some BS reason that it's compatibility issues with newer iphones/software. Thank God I bought them two days ago and am returning them. It's 2019 Sonos - is it really that hard to create a software patch? I was OK putting up with the WiFi only, but now likely to go to Harman Kardon and stream via bluetooth and not be stuck in 2014 WiFi. So dumb.
Because we have it on a bedroom, we'll use the sleep timer every time: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/452?language=en_US My wife ordered a chance to remember the last timer, so Next time I put music on play, it's on. Our sleep timer is set up in 30 minutes. Every night we'll set it again. It could be that he remembers the situation last and change when I change. I guess it's not all like that so. Maybe add a slider - ‘Remember my last sleep timer’. And then every time I put the music playing, it automatically started. What do you think of such thought?
I have a Google home hub and a Sonos beam and I would like to set my default speaker for the Google Home Hub to the Beam speakers. When going in to the Home app it doesn't recognize the Beam, or at least it doesn't allow me to add the Beam as my default speaker. Anyone else has this experience?
I have just set up a new Amp in my great room. It powers 3 pairs of speakers through an impedance matching distribution system with separate volume controls. I have also ran the Amp’s sub out to 3 powered subs in the same room. This room also has a Playbar, Sub, and 2 Play 3s as a TV surround set up. I use the Amp for music mainly and occasionally group them both together for big sound. The new Amp settings menu has a “calibrate sub” feature to, I assume, adjust phase by comparing A to B test tones etc. I see the widget but it won’t start. Any ideas or success from anyone?
At some point I added two sonos speakers and created a 2nd "living room" How do I combine them to have one room?
Hi Sonos It would be really nice if you can reverse the queue, because of the following reason. When I add a Spotify playlist (which I update weekly) to the queue, all my recent added songs end up at the bottom of the queue. So if I want to listen the recent added songs (let's say 5) I have to scroll all the way down (it contains 500+ songs) to listen to them. And after the 5 songs, the queue reached the end and the music stops. In short: reverse the queue so I can listen "back in time" This would be awesome! (and max 5 story point when it comes to Scrum ;-) Looking forward to the next release! Cheers, Wouter
HELP!! Can someone tell me why the app will not let me add a speaker. I have the Sonos app for Androids loaded on my Samsung. I want to add a new Sonos speaker to my current setup. Have gone into the app> System> but the “Add Product” is grayed out so can not add anything. I’ve even un-installed and re-installed the controller app. Still not showing up to add a speaker.Feeling really stupid here. I am pretty good with computers/apps but can’t figure out why I can not simply add a single Sonos (sonos one) speaker. It shouldn’t be this hard. Feeling like I should have NEVER invested the $$$ in this system. Anyone have any idea why the app is not letting me add a speaker to my current system
Ok, this is question that has appear regularly in the forum ever since I first started using sonos. Search the forum for ‘greyed out’ and it comes up over and over with the same problem in various guises, but in all those I’ve never seen a satisfactory answer.I’ve got an iPad 4 running iOS 10.3.3, yes I know it’s ancient, it must be all of 6 years old (Apple discontinued the 4 back in Oct 2014) so by Apple standards it’s a museum piece. Apple make a lot of money by bring out new H/W and persuading users to land fill ‘old’ devices. iOS 10.3.3 is the last upgrade available for iPad 4’s.So yes I know there may be new apps and functionality I can’t have because my iPad is not supported (apple blur the distinction between ‘out of support’ and ‘not supported’). However I’m happy with my iPad, it does, or at least did do, all i need and more. I neither want, or currently, need a new iPad.So why, when I was forced to install a sonos update, did it grey out some functionality, i.e. from my per
Hello I not trade up has been announced does this mean the connect and zp90 are shortly to be unsupported
Can't find the new FM Channel i Denmark, on TuneIn ?
Hello all,I've had my a Sonos system for over 10 years and I love it. My wife and I recently relocated and bought a new home. Unfortunately, the new house is wired with a Legrand On Q system. The Legrand system is just ok, barely. The Legrand system sounds pretty poor compared to Sonos. Legrand also offers far fewer streaming options compared to Sonos The structured cabling tech who installed my system for the builder was here today explaining the Legrand system to me. He didn’t know of a way to hook my media server to the Legrand system, or how I might incorporate my existing Sonos.I’m thinking the Legrand will be ok for listening to music in the kitchen and living room, but I’d like to have my Sonos system in my media room where I can play files from my media server through my McIntosh amp. I have a set of smaller Sonus Faber speakers hooked to the Mc and they could definitely be helped by my Sonos sub. Here’s the Sonos equipment I own:BridgeConnectConnect ampSonos SubPlay 5
It would be nice to be able to adjust playback speed for podcasts and audiobooks.
Hi there,I’ve seen this topic popping on and off since a while now but still did not manage to figure out a solution for my particular case. What I have:2 x rooms, each with a Sonos Connect that then in turn goes to an existing 5.1 sound systemWhat I’m trying to achieve:Play laptop sound (not just songs..but for example also iTunes content or VLC movies sound) over the Sonos connect in a certain room So far I’ve seen:some Sonos speakers have Airplay..not the Connect => not sure if something would be possible here an app Airfoil → should normally see speakers..in my case the Sonos Connect was not visible in it (not sure it is supported though)And I’ve reached a dead-end :)Do I have anything else that I can explore or try out?
I would like a method to keep track of recently added music. I used to do this with my CD's. Instead of immediately filing new CD's with my existing CD's, I would leave them in a pile next to the CD player for a few weeks. The new music would get heavier play than my older CD's. I used to leave them out until I had listened to them a number of times. It would be nice to create an electronic way to do the same thing.
Seriously half tempted to return the sonos system back after finding out today there is no power off option on a 2000$ system "let alone no remote forcing you to use a phone or tablet to adjust any settings". Having it on cost money as anything requiring power does! The system is staying on for hours with nothing connected to it. There is no reasonable explanation why there should not be and adjustable auto off option or even power off option this far in todays technolog. For the price this is an unexceptable oversight! Over all not happy with a 2000$ system that should have basic features. I mean with that mentality we should just leave our car running because we "may"... need to use it in the next hour!
Recently installed fiber connection. App not recognizing fiber WiFi!! BUT, 2 of 3 speakers play! When it does show up, it says I don’t have any registered speakers! Can’t add 3rd speaker! Reset all speakers! I’m sure it’s operator error, but I’m getting really disturbed!
Been trying to connect speakers all day as unplugged one last night and not working. There is no settings or menu on the app and wondering if anyone else has same problem?
Just bought one of your products and installed the app. A nasty unpleasant surprise realizing you guys think a tie-in on a payed service/product is a smart move.
How do I remove devices (speakers, boost, etc) from my account if I plan to sell them?
The Now Playing widget shows Album, Artist and track title. It doesn't show the Composer name, even though Sonos has this information in its indices. Many classical albums are a composite program of works by various composers. When a track is queued, or playing, there is no way whatsoever to discover who the composer is. The titles given to classical works often give little clue; eg. "String Quartet No. 8 in E minor, Op 59.2: I. Allegro" ... pick the composer? It is very disappointing that this feature hasn't been implemented after 5+ years of requests from customers who enjoy classical music. I can't see why it isn't self evident that feature is required. In most instances a Sonos improves upon playing music from a physical cd; ie. I don't have to find it, and then put it away. This is an instance where the use of a Sonos degrades the experience; ie. I am listening to something, but I can't tell what it is, as I have no longer have access to the cover.
Hello sonos I could really use that sonos could be put in jukeok's mode and there is only one mobile / ipad on system and when you press the song that song is in line and does not start and play the song and delete the queue! thinking it might be possible to put a code that locks the system to a certain function (jukebox)
I talked to SiriusXM about this but they couldn’t help. Does anyone know how to make a channel a favorite in the SiriusXM section of the Sonos app? I’m on the new iPhone 11 Pro, if that makes a difference. Thank you!
I have nearly $2000 of Sonos equipment. I love Sonos. Now comes Trueplay for tuning my Sonos speakers. What? Only iOS? Does anyone else here have an Android phone? I have used a Yamaha 4000 sound bar for years with speaker tuning and I love it. I really think Trueplay would improve my Sonos experience so I guess I better get an iPhone? :S:?
Anyone know the maximum number of songs, albums, playlists, etc. that can be stored in My Sonos?
