I can't connect spotify to sonos on Kindle Fire HD8 (7th Generation)

I’m trying to set up my daughters Kindle Fire HD to play spotify via our sonos speakers.  It recognises that there are speakers to connect to but won’t connect.  It just stays ‘Connecting...’

It is trying to connect as if I’m playing via through the sonos speaker from my iphone it stops that device playing on sonos but the kindle fire never connects.  Very frustrating and don’t know what to do.   Any advice?

    Have you added her Spotify as a music service using the Sonos app on the Fire?

    Yes Spotify is added as a service in Sonos.  I can connect to my Sonos speakers using Spotify via the Sonos app but not via Spotify directly.

    Just to be clear. I am not sure why you are hsving problems using the Spotify app, but you do have the option of adding your daughter's Spotify account to your Sonos system, in addition to your Spotify account. Her app can default to her Spotify when she is at your place.
