The backlight on my Sonus-1xt has stopped working. Can it be fixed?
My music cuts out after one or two songs and when I press play again, it goes back to the beginning of the first song. Help! Very frustrating...
We have a Play:5 and 3 Play:1s in our home system. Everything worked great for the first few years, but it seems like every time there’s an update, things get less reliable. Examples:System loses a speaker and it has to be added back. Seems to happen every few months. System can’t find the speaker when we’re trying to add it back. App isn’t able to control the volume, mute, or un-mute a specific speaker -- this is especially true for a particular one of the Play:1s when controlling from a Macbook Pro. Happens several times a month, sometimes several times a week. App isn’t able to add a speaker to or remove it from a group. Again, especially true for that particular Play:1. Happens several times a month, sometimes several times a week. System loses track of a favourite source (especially CBC Radio, especially on one particular user’s iPhone). Update fails because “something unexpected happened”. (I design software interfaces and this is … not what I would consider ideal interface desig
Hi,I have a Sonos Play:5 running on the old iOS S1 controller app and am constantly running in to playback issues from multiple sources. Basic symptom is that I go to the controller, select any source; Spotify, Radio stations and basically get the error message saying that it can’t playback the source. When this happens, I have on occasion checked for system upgrades and the failure to connect to source is always joined by the system being unable to check for updates. However, randomly, the system will ‘fix’ itself with no intervention whatsoever! Things I have ruled out:Local Internet connectivity is fine during the times where playback fails Wireless signal strength is high iPhone and Play:5 are connected to the same wireless network Play:5 and S1 controller app are both up to date iOS has recently been updated to 14.2 but this problem occurred on older iOS versions The system only has one Play:5 on - I have other Sonos speakers but I split the system and they’re all now on the S2 co
All of a sudden, Sonos stops playing any streaming service at all. It seems to work with local network music, and the tracks are browsable. But since changing nothing one day, it suddenly wont play radio stations, or streaming music sources. Looking in the log it says SCPlayContainerFactory(1): Play error = 701Has something been changed to make old devices not work any more?
Today, I added a playlist to the queue. The music items were in desired order in the playlist on the Sonos menu. When added to queue they are in random order.
As of about 9/26 Pocket Casts has stopped syncing with my Sonos. The Pocket Casts app works fine on my phone. I’ve removed the service and readded it and there was no change. I am able to see my Up Next list but it’s 5 days old now. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Switched out my WiFi router and after much tinkering finally got 2 of 3 Sonos speakers running by hard-wiring each via ethernet. But one of the devices disappears when I disconnect and try to access wirelessly. Have rebooted the router, rebooted the speaker. Still nothing.Very Frustrating

I used Sonos removal tool to remove old Bridge device and add then Boost. Everything went ok but when trying to update for S2, update software informs me about existing Bridge and not allowing me to update for S2. However, as it was already removed and I do not find the Bridge even from Sonos system list. What should I do to be able to update for S2? System restart???
Hi everyone. We have used our turntable for the couple of years and are now running into an issue. Now when we play a record the volume automatically shoots up to 100%. This issue just started in the past week. Any suggestions? Charles PS. We have our audio-technica turntable hooked into a Play 5.
Hi folks, Looking for some guidance. I've had a perfectly functioning Sonos setup in my kitchen living room - two play 1s, a play 5, playbar & sub. It's a large open plan room and all speakers are connected wireless to my router. A week ago I bought a Symfonisk for my baby's nursery. It seemed very fiddly to connect but I eventually got there, only to find tracks "dropping out", refusing to play any tracks, giving an error about encoding. I figured it was an issue on losing WiFi connection as that area of the house is older, thicker walls etc. So I swopped one of my play 1 speakers - I removed it from the kitchen, set it up in the nursery and put the symfonisk in its place in the kitchen. The play 1 is functioning perfectly in the nursery. The symfonisk is causing all 5 speakers in the kitchen to drop out randomly. What is the issue here? Is this just down to poor ikea build? It's extremely disappointing and would discourage me from buying any further sonos products.
Hi.I'm having trouble trying to connect my beam via hdmi arc to my grundig 65 inch tv. It's always saying wrong hdmi input and also to turn on cec setting. Someone else having trouble with the same. If someone could help me with the following problem I will appreciate. Thanks
Hi whenever I try to shuffle my personal music library on Google Play Music the app displays the ‘busy’ spinning circle on the screen for approximately 10 or 15 seconds and then it times out with the error code 1002 (and occasionally 1001). I believe this is because I have over 10,000 songs in my collection on Google Play music. If you’re unfamiliar with GPM it allows you to upload your entire personal music collection to the cloud for free and play them any time you want from any device, so over the years I have amassed quite a big music library via this service. I suspect the problem is one of either two things or both. There may be a limit to the number of songs that can be added to the Sonos app playlist at any one time or/and the Sonos App will wait for a response for Google Music (and maybe other similar services) for only a given period of time and if it doesn’t receive a timely response, it will error out either with error 1002, or error 1001 and will assume there has been a ne
My S1 Product drops the sound every now and thenwhen i group them together with play1 and playbar its the same, S1 drops sound, not S2 they play all the time.Annoying Why?
My Sonos has taken to dropping off the system - the useless support page tells me to connect through Ethernet (which is awkward) so I do that, and it recognises the speaker until I stop using Sonos. Next time I open Sonos, the speaker has gone again. Wifi is strong, Playbar and Connect are working. What’s going on?!Also what has happened to Sonos support - used to be able to email them - now it’s just Monday to Friday - not very tech support..
SONOS showed that my system needed an update. So today I ran this. Since this update I cannot play any radio stations at all.
So when I initially updated to S2, it took me forever to get my old Play 3 and Play 1 to work. Had to use ethernet and it took 3 attempts to get it all working.Another upgrade yesterday and everything is gone. So I started adding them in again. Added 3 first. Seemed OK. Added 1 and the 3 disappeared. Tried again in different order and same thing happened. Quit app and restarted. Added 1 again. Started playing music. Quit app, restarted app and could not find Play 1 even thought music was still playing music. As well, all favorites were gone from the app. So at this point nothing is working. Tried 5 times to add devices in and they keep disappearing. Yes I have restarted the router. And no I don't want to tear everything apart to move them to my router and use ethernet. Very frustrating to have to work this hard when it was all working
I recently setup my new Sony Bravia and the Playbase worked great. I could control the volume of a cable box, Netflix, Prime, etc, with the Sony system volume.I then fired up Youtube and the remote wouldn’t change the volume. I used the playbase hardware buttons to lower the volume, and subsequently the remote won’t change the volume of anything when controlling the Playbase (it of course works when I switch it to TV speakers).I’ve tried to unplug and plug in the Playbase and factory reset the TV to no avail.Any ideas?
I’m going out of town and would like to be able to turn some music on & off throughout the day so my house doesn’t appear to be empty. I downloaded the Yonomi app to my iPhone and conected it to my Sonos Cloud account but can’t find any instructions on how to use it to get my Sonos to go on. Anybody out there know how to do this?
Hi I use S1 compatible products - 2 x Play 5 , Play 1 , 2x connects and wish to add a Sonos Connect amp that I’ve bought second hand from EBAY. I’ve reset it back to factory settings and tried adding it to my system but it keeps asking me to update it , but when I try, it just says that update unavailable. Is there any way around this or have I just wasted my money on EBAY?
