Help me please! We just bought a Sonos One. We cannot get Spotify to work for more than a single song. We are fairly frustrated so if I am unable to get this working I will have to send it back.We only have a single Spotify account.Asking Alexa for a song she announces the song and then proceeds to not play anything. Alexa, play stairway to heaven Stairway to Heaven, Remastered by Led Zeppelin, from *(Wife’s)* Spotify*Nothing* I’ve tried everything I can think of. Unlinking accounts, installing and uninstalling apps. What a mess. The only way I can get this working is by using the Sonos app to Reauthorizing Spotify. Then it will play one song. The next song will not play, as above. There’s no problem if I use the Sonos app to play a song. Also we don’t have this issue on any of the Amazon echo devices, only seems to be the Sonos!
Suddenly the app can’t find my 3 speakers and yet Alexa can - any suggestions? I’ve already deleted and reinstalled the app with no luck
So I have attached all three below, anyone else seeing this since the last update?Android Phone:iPad: Desktop app:
This is a “retag” on a discussion I started a few days ago when I knew less than I know now, so the topic title is more succinct. At least for me, I have determined that the S2 Controller running on a iMac M1 (Big Sur 11.5.2) will consistently not load all speakers if that iMac is connected via Ethernet -- although it will often find them if given a couple of hours. Each time S2 is restarted, the app may see different speakers and drop others when the iMac is on Ethernet.I have a cable modem with a single Ethernet output that drives an Eero Pro mesh router system. The Eero mesh units provides WiFi to the house as well as Ethernet input to a NetGear 18 port Gigabit unmanaged switch. A Sonos Boost is hooked to the switch as is the subject M1 iMac -- and before you jump the gun the Boost is the ONLY Sonos unit connection to the Internet; all Sonos components are in “WM:0” mode. There are other Android and Apple products in the house but they run primarily via WiFi. All have the S2 control
Hi everyone. We have been a Sonos family for a number of years and really enjoy the system. For surround sound we have the Playbar, subwoofer, and 2 Play 1 speakers in the back. Our TV is an older Samsung LCD that does not have ARC, eARC, and can only pass 5.1 OTA.We are happy with the sound especially when we can get 5.1 from it. We have found that by using this Roku player we can get 5.1 sound from HBO Max and Apple TV+ while 5.1 only works if we use our older Fire stick for Netflix and Disney+. This means we have a splitter to handle both HDMI inputs. This is the splitter we use from iArkPower.I would love to find a solution where we could just use 1 device to get 5.1 sound from everything. Is this possible? If so, do we need a different splitter or a different Roku or Fire device? We did try a newer Fire device and that caused the 5.1 sound in Netflix and Disney to stop working.Again, our current solution is okay, however it would be great to get it down to one device that can hand
Hi there my diagnostic number is 1016132053
This seems like a very common problem. I have tried other threads here but so far none have resolved this issue. As far as I can see this only seems to affect Android. My daughter uses iPhone without issues. When I select Reauthorize I get a spinning pink progress bar then a white screen. It progress no further forwards.I have uninstalled and reinstalled Sonos but to no avail. I have an Oppo A74 5G running Android 11, I also tried my older device running Android 8.1.0 but that now exhibits the same issue. My Sonos system is up to date and contains 3 other speakers 2 Play:1’s and a Play:3. I’m using Sonos S2. Any help would be very welcome otherwise this speaker is junk. Thanks
I am sharing here my customer frustration. I change my Wifi network. It took me 15 seconds to update my google devices, 10 seconds for Alexa devices and I am still troubleshooting my Sonos after 2 days.I have the exact same problem than the case below but unfortunately cannot connect my sonos to an ethernet cable. For a Wifi sound system it is incredible that the product is not better tested and the app support is very light.
After sporadically having one of my speakers drop from the system after starting a stream I noticed that I had left the personal hotspot on my phone turned on. I suspect that was interfering with the speaker Wi-Fi connection. Turned it off and all was good.
I’m in a 1k sq ft long and narrow apartment with 9 Sonos speakers all on WiFi, S2. My router is set-up in the middle of the apartment to try and give as even distribution of signal as possible. The space is challenged by having a multiple dense walls that severely weakens the WiFi signal if it needs to go through more than 1 wall. Because of that I mostly live on the 2.4 signal for all my devices. I worked out some issues when I first moved in so that for the most part I’ve dealt with speakers dropping from the system rarely. Not surprisingly the speaker I’ve had the most trouble with is a Play 1 that lives the furthest from the router with the signal needing to go through 3 walls to reach the speaker. For the most part it’s worked well enough that I havent felt the need to change something for the last 2 years of living here. Since adding a baby monitor to the room, there’s been a noticeable increase in songs struggling to play, skipping or stopping playing, to the point that I purcha
Hi Sonos Community!!! What’s Crackin??? PUN Intended. I recently purchased two Sonos Sonance Outdoor speakers and hooked them up to Zone 2 of my Denon Receiver. They worked fine for two days. Crystal Clear and they sound Awesome! Makes my pool feel more like Vegas. On the third day, a couple of changes were made, #1, We added SXM radio to our Sonos Account (Should have zero effect on speaker crackle) #2, the temperature outside reached 99 degrees (We live in the desert). I ran 14 gauge wire approximately 30 feet to each speaker - There should have been no reason for the speakers to blow and the installed wire exceeds the recommendation per the installation manual. Any ideas on what would cause the speakers to crackle at 75% volume? Is this distortion proof that the speakers are damaged? What did Sonos tell you about your incident? Any thoughts you can share with me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much in advance!!! Rich in Bombertown.
Good evening, my sonos roam has stopped working. I can play the music on Bluetooth and also airplay but it will not play through the sonos app linked to my 2 sonos one's in another room. I have done a full reset and started it up as fresh and still no show. When I listen to the radio it is showing as playing on the app in both rooms but it does not play on the roam.Any ideas? Thanks.
Every night at midnight my Sonos system plays music. I’ve factory reset every device and looked for alarms that might exist. No success to date. I’ve removed Spotify as well. Alexa is not connected to my Sonos what is likely cause?
UPDATE: Issue now resolved, I think. After hours of trying suddenly the ‘continue setting up your Sonos One’ option appeared in the app. I was then able to assign a room and it’s there working in the app now. Odd the continue setting up thing didn’t appear in the app before, but it’s working now. Hi. I have an original Sonos One which for some reason has dropped out of the Sonos S2 app. My G1 Beam still working fine. I have tried the ‘find missing…’ option, and that didn’t work. I have completed a factory reset and gone through the process to add to my system. This took as very long time but appeared to work fine with no error messages. At the last stage of connecting to my wireless network it said it was successful, yet it’s still not there in the app/system with my Beam (I checked my router and it is connected ok, and my iPhone detects it as an available Airplay speaker). I have tried everything on the support pages. I have a good Asus mesh system with 60 devices connected and are b
For the past few days, my Sonos system is constantly dropping its connection. Wifi is fine; app is up-to-date (and a few devices); yet, the system will start to play a channel, drop it, search and eventually return any number of messages (e.g., ‘unable to connect to Sonos product’, ‘unable to play channel’, ‘connection to Sonos radio was lost’, etc.). I had no issues with my system prior to the wind storms on the BC coast a few days ago. Coincidence or is there something else going on? Curious whether anyone else in the Vancouver market is experiencing the same thing?

Hi, why Sonos app want login when I'm logged in? After re-login is situation same… (No action after click)
I don’t know about your experience, but SONOS Roam is an embarrassment. It may work one day, maybe not the next. It MUST stayed plugged in when the chance comes you need to use it. Otherwise, it takes an hour or so to recharge. So much for nice music in the moment. Then, when life is good, and the sound is delightful, it just shuts down. No bluetooth; no wifi connection; no reason. It just freaking STOPS. Worst system EVER! What a waist of money.
I have a smal apartment with the router in center of it and I have 3 IKEA speakers within just 8 meters width from the router. There is one speaker (IKEA lamp 8m away) that keeps getting music cut offs and loses the ability to control it from the SONOS app. I have changed the channel on the router to 11 and the speakers to 6. There is no walls between the speaker and the router and I have tried two different high performance routers with no difference. Between the speaker and the router I have a samsung tv, a Playstation 5 and a Logitec z906 system. The SONOS speaker seems to stop working when the PS5 is ON, while it seems to work (at least it works better) while the PS5 is in standby/turned off. Can the PS5 cause this problem or is the cut offs random? DIAGNOSTIC: 12583358
Hello everyone!I currently own 2 sonos moves.I had the first Move for almost 1 year and it ALWAYS worked perfectly in WIFI (no disconnections). For about 2 months I bought the second MOVE to create the stereo pair.I live in Italy, in an apartment building with several neighbors' wifi networksThe two speakers work perfectly in stereo pairs for about 5/10/15 minutes but then, always one of the two always disconnects and you no longer hear audio (and you can only hear the music from one speaker).- I tried to factory reset the two speakers- I don't have wifi extender and the wifi connection is GREAT and very fast throughout the house (fiber)- I tried in the router to change channels 1/6/11 and rebooted- I tried to group the speakers (not in stereo pair)- I tried to contact the live chat several times, sending dozens of diagnostics (nothing)- I only have 2.4ghz wifi frequency (5 ghz off)- I tried to use different music sources (spotify, from iphone with airplay, from pc with mp3 folders ...
Hello, I’ve recently obtained a Sonos Amp and a Sonos Sub for my TV film setup. The issue I’ve encountered is the following :Setup of Sonos Amp works smoothly. Adding Sonos Sub looks seemingly ok , returns the message at the end of the setup that Sonos Sub has been successfully added but that sometimes the device doesnt show up and a power cycle is required. Sonos sub isn’t visible. After a powercycle of the Sonos Sub the Sub doesn’t show up. Both setup via wireless or wired result in device not popping up within the Sonos S2 app on my iPhone.Cable has been tested on other device to ensure cable is ok , cable is working perfectly on other devices.Repeated the setup process quite a few time , everytime resulting in the device not showing up.Verifying the network connectivity of all the Sonos devices on my router tells me the following :All existing Sonos S2 devices ( Sonos Amp ) and Sonos S1 devices mac addressess are shown on my router except the mac address of my Sonos Sub.Furthermore
Hi,I have an Xfinity Gateway that is locked to auto channel switching (grr). Because I can’t set a specific channel on the router, is there a preferred channel to set on SonosNet or is it just a crapshoot? Thanks!
I sometimes use multiple Apple Music playlists, curated by Apple, across my Sonos estate. I am having a problem with one in particular. It works perfectly well through Apple Music, and I have added it to ‘My Playlists’ but on my Sonos system, when I try to play it, I get the message “We’ve run into a problem. Try again”. Can anyone help please? I am using the main Sonos app (not S1) on iOS and the playlist is “A very Indie Christmas”. It used to work a couple of weeks ago-about the time I upgraded to S2 (not sure if that is a coincidence!) Thanks!
