My sonos sub, after working perfectly for over a year, started flashing a white light. I reset it, got the flashing green light, the sub connected to the wi-fi and I was able to have it appear on the app in the room where it belongs. However, it would not connect to the surround sound. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
This is driving me nuts! On windows 10, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the windows app, hooking up my sonos one directly to ethernet and changing my display settings over and over again only for the windows app to have smearing/glitchy graphics whenever i move the window or hover my mouse over text highlights. The graphics are ok when i open the downloaded app file but as soon as I reach "connect to existing system" or "new system" page the graphics get all screwed up from then on. Opening up the app and browsing the controller is a nightmare when all of the wording is smeared, flickered and smudged. Every other windows program/app displays fine. The problem only gets fixed temporarily when i re-install windows 10 and then it persists again. Someone please help me. I won't be able to purchase sonos Five speakers if this continues.
Hello I have 3 Sonos play1 and 1 play5I have also a mesh network TPlink Deco. The wifi signal is excellent in all the rooms and all the devices except sonos are working perfectly. There are 3 Deco unit in my house: Deco-main is connected to Internet and by Etherenet cabe to Deco-AtticDeco-Rooms is full wireless. The sonos Play-5 is connected (wireless) to Deco- Attic and it is very close to the Deco unit (about 1 meter) The 3 sonos play1 are connected to Deco-main (1 unit) and Deco-rooms (2 units)They are all very close to the Deco units (max 2 meters) and there are no walls between them. When I use air play, the sonos play1 connected to Deco-main is continuosly interrupting and itimpossible to use. Other service, like listening a file from my phone or tune in radio are working perfectly. Only air play is not working and it was tested with 2 different phones and 1 McBook air I need your help! :-(Thank you
I bought a Sony Bravia X90J today and configured it with my Soundbar + Sub, which was relatively easy. It works fantastic whilst the TV is on and the audio quality is great. The Soundbar connects to my Bravia via an optical cable.I also have a Play 1 in another room, so I often have the TV off and I will stream spotify through both Zones. Whenever the TV is off and I do so, the Soundbar+Sub zone audio intermittently drops out and I can’t figure out why.Software on all of the hardware items is up to date and I am certain the issue is to do with the optical cable as whenever I’ve taken it out and continued to stream music, it works. The issue also doesn’t happen whenever the TV is ON and I stream music through both zones, so it’s as if the TV is signalling something to the the Soundbar+Sub which interrupts the audio for a moment (as the other Zone continues playing the music whilst this happens).
Movies that uses mp4a.40.2 codecs (when looking att stats for nerds) shows up as Dolby Digital 2.0 on Sonos even though the movies are supposedly to be in 5.1 surround.Im not that savvy on the technical side but this cant be right, right?
Hi!I’ve tried to get some answer on this question many times.Today I am listening on radio stations on my Play5 and music drops like every 5min.FYI. I started the day by rebooting the system. My Connect Amp and Play 5 is ethernet hardwired, so wifi interference should not be the problem. What can I do?Diagnostic is sent: 562884770./Lemmy
Hi. I’m trying to troubleshoot why I’m not getting any bass out of (2) 3 month old Niles NI-GSBSUB-10 inground subs. A new Crown CDi 2/600 amp is getting the input signal from the 2 different Sonos Amps I tried, as well as an older Niles amp I previously used. At this point it really seems to be the actual subs, but I’m having a hard time believing that both subs went bad at the same exact time. I’m very careful with volume and sub volume settings, so it would seem unlikely that the subs were blown. Could this issue be related to a recent sonos app update?
I saw a similar thread about this but it’s closed and no solution was posted. I’m having issues with the line-in on my AMP (which is connected via RCA cables to a preamp, connected to a turntable). There is a constant buzzing sound whenever the line-in is connected that gets louder if I turn up the volume. Also, the music from the turntable is very faint (and not nearly as loud as the buzzing). I’ve tried adjusting the line level but the buzzing is there regardless of the level, and it's always a lot louder than the music. I've tried rebooting the Amp, and switching RCA cables, but nothing seems to work. The amp works for streaming and powering speakers, but there's something up with the line-in.I submitted a diagnostic: 2147038663.
I'm trying to link my Sonos move to be voice enabled through my Amazon Alexa account. I have three other Sonos speakers that are good to go and set up. As I am going to link my move to my Amazon account through the Sonos app it requires me to fetch a six digit pin code through a one time password to the email affiliated with my Amazon account. I've done this multiple times and that specific one time password email is not showing up in my email and I've checked every folder spam and inbox. Because of this I cannot link my Amazon Alexa account to my Sonos move to her voice control. Is there another way to somehow link my Sonos move to my Amazon account to the Amazon app or do I need to do it through the Sonos app? It has been super frustrating waiting around for an email that has never showed up. This is been going on for over 12 hours
I have this error when using YT Music Premium on Sonos:"Playback paused because your account is being used in another location."I have no problem to use YT Music on any other device. Just on Sonos I get this error.I contacted Google support who referred me to Sonos support.I rebooted all devices, modem, smartphone, Sonos, I have 100mbps Internet at home and strong WiFi."Your confirmation number is: 719196082."

I got a new Sonos Move yesterday and I am having some issues with it. First, there was no green LED when powered on, so I needed to reset it first. Does that mean it was already used? It seems it was packaged ok. Battery was on 8% taken out of the box (checked over bluetooth). I managed to connect it to Sonos app, but the WIFI connection drops so frequently its unusable. I do have both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz WIFI on the same SSID and dont have any issues with other connected devices (TV, laptops, phones...). Should I bring it back to the store? Thanks for help,Jaxak
My Play:3 that I’ve had since ages (I’ve had Sonos since they launched the ZP100) suddenly started skipping/slipping/repeating samples recently. It produces a kind of record scratching sound when it happens. I usually stream from YouTube Music. Anybody know why this happened and if/how I can rollback to working software? It’s beyond obnoxious.
Hello, This is a recurring issue I’ve been having across multiple homes, routers, internet services, etc. Randomly when playing Spotify, the sound will just disappear, and then come back - with the song still playing. Diagnostic: 1307927628Thank you!
I have been on here researching the issue and it seems that there’s no one thing to do except report the issue, then let Sonos read the diagnostics from your unit(s). So, here we go… My Sonos controller keeps telling me that when I’m on SiriusXM and listening to music, about every other song seems to be encoded incorrectly.I’ve reset my wireless (orbi), restarted the Sonos units, plugged one in directly to the interwebs and I’m still getting the issue.
Hi there,Earlier this week I could no longer connect to my Sonos system. I hadn’t changed anything but the app on my phone, table and desktop could not find the system. I then contacted Sonos using the auto assistant and followed all the steps but to no avail. They wanted to transfer me to a live agent but after a 30 min wait I gave up. I use the Sonos S1 app having some Gen 1 Play 5 speakers, one Play 3 and one Play 1. Plus a Connect Bridge (also S1). As mentioned I had not changed anything with my wifi or router but from one day to the next the system no longer worked. What can I do after having tried all these things (mainly re-booting and trying to set the system back to factory although I am not sure that was actually successful since the system is still not working). This is all very frustrating and I would be grateful for some help. Or is the only way to actually call Sonos support? I have tried to find a solution on the forum but could not. Many thanks in advance, Tim
I have several sonos products and they come and go in the app. With the old router (apple extreme) it often didn’t show up at all. With the new router TP-link ax6000 it shows up but unable to connect. They are all stereo paired play 1(s). Newer speakers like move always work. We tried to re-add them (factory reset), give them static ips etc etc but no luck. So sick of how bud this works, invested alot of money in all these speakers and they hardly work. Running out of ideas.
Yesterday the Sonos randomly started playing a Spotify song in the middle of the night. It was the last song that was played on my account. We’re currently going to change the Wi-Fi just in case. There’s also no alarms. But we’d like to know what other steps to take so we don’t wake up in the middle of a pretty loud ghost rave. We submitted a diagnostics report under the number #290517675. Thank you!
I just started the Qobuz free trial and have noticed that songs are cutting in and out sporadically during playback. I have never had any issues like this over 4 years with Pandora, Apple, Tidal or Subsonic. The issue with Qobuz is as follows. I have a stereo pair of Play Fives, and a sub, connected via WiFi in my living room. During Qobuz playback sound will stop on the left speaker, then comeback, and sometimes continue to cut out on one or both speakers. It happens consistently on any Qobuz album I play. This has NEVER happened with Pandora, Apple Music, Tidal or my streaming CDs via Subsonic on any of my speakers in 4 years so I’m sure it’s related to Qobuz. I have a meshed WiFi network (3 APs) using channels 1, 6 and 11. I have one speaker wired in the other room. I’ve tried changing Sonosnet to all the channels but it doesn’t make a difference. At this point Qobuz is unusable because the sound cuts out so much.I’d like to use Qobuz to stream but unless I can get the issue resolved
I group all my speakers together and have an alarm set for each morning. The alarm works fine, however one speaker never comes on. I have just looked in settings and noticed that the unit that does not come on is called a “one” instead of a Play 1? It is a Play 1 and bought at the same time as the other Play 1’s. Help!
Hi there, Been seeking a resolution to this problem for a while. Moved my system to completely wired and removed some components to see if they were the source of interference. No luck so hoping support has a better idea of what is going on. Lost connection to Spotify error. Song skips and general intermittent problems with music streaming. Local music works fine and home theater works fine.1226056816
I have successfully paired a Sony Bravia XR A80J television to a Sonos MOVE device via Bluetooth. The settings indicate that the A2DP Bluetooth profile is being used. However, I am unable to hear sound from the MOVE when playing a video.I was able to hear sound from a Jabra wireless (Bluetooth) when connected to the Sony Bravia tvunder the same conditions.Any recommendations on any advanced settings that I should try in order to resolve this audio issue?
Morning all. Is it normal to experience 3 second delay using a line-in on a Port? This is what happened a couple of weeks back …...We have a Sonos Port feeding into an old Pioneer Ax10Ai amp that feeds a 7 x Evid 6.2’s and 2 x B&W PV1 sub woofers in the garden. We use the Pioneer’s 7 channel stereo DSP to distribute the Sonos Port input. Works a dream. But we held a party a couple of weeks back (wife’s 60th) and had a guitarist playing into a mixer which we tried to feed into the line-in of the Port which then went to the Pioneer. Sound wise …. spot on. But the delay was crazy long …. approximately 3 seconds. It made the playback impossible for the guitarist who was playing live but hearing his output 3 seconds later. Should add that all our Sonos devices are RJ45 wired.I plugged a DVD/CD player into the line in to test. Same thing …. great sound but a terrible delay. Is this normal? And why is it happening? And of course more importantly, is there anything at all I can do to fix it
I know this topic has been brought up in the past but I see no conclusion. When will I be able to use my free youtube music account? Currently I only see No selections are available each time I use my Sonos app with my service.Everything works fine when I use the native youtube music app
Hi,I'm not getting sound out of my gen 1 Play 1 surrounds with Playbase.I've removed the surrounds and successfully tested sound through them as individual units.I've hard reset the surrounds and re added them. I get an error message saying there was a problem preparing them. The end result is no sound but I can control the volume through the top button.I've tried a variety of sound sources but it only played through the Playbase and not the surrounds.Any ideas? Edit: also checked to make sure they're WiFi enabled
