Whenever someone enables Airplay Require Password on the Apple TV or in the Apple Home app every Sonos speaker in the house blocks itself from receiving an Airplay stream and asks for an AirPlay Password.Airplay works fine to Apple devices but not to Sonos devices once the password is enabled. Disabling the AirPlay password on the Apple TV or Home app has no effect on any of the Sonos speakers. They still ask for an Airplay password. The only thing which seems to fix the issue is resetting each Sonos speaker one by one.Anyone experienced this problem? (I’ve tried calling Sonos but keep getting disconnected case number 04688582 / diagnostics 726588139)
I just got my Pro-Ject’s DC, set it up as per the instructions from Sonos included in the box. But the Turntable has a grounding wire and unlike a traditional phono preamp, the Sonos Port does not have one. Do I connect it at just the turntable? Connect it at neither end? Or is the grounding perhaps taken care of via the built in pre-amp?
I understand Sonos’s radio stations are actually using TuneIn. Is there any advantage in playing a Sonos station when it are also available on TuneIn? Are there more features or is there better stability?
HiTried to connect B&O Beolab 6000 speakers to Sonos AMP. It seems to work, but the volume is loud when using as TV speakers or even Streaming Music. Even at lowest settings (aside from 0) they are loud. Tried adjusting the Volume Limit but wasn’t helpful. Any suggestions? Is it a setting issue? Or something else? And since these are Active speakers, if I turn off the TV, there is still the buzzing noise from the line - it won’t ‘shut off’ the speakers. Any feedback is appreciated, thank you!
Hi, I have two monitor audio ceiling speakers setup in my outbuilding with a Sonos Amp and Sonos sub. The system sounds awesome! I would now like to add 2 additional outdoor speakers to the system and would like to limit the volume of this set independently of the indoor speakers. Is there a speaker pair that I can buy where I can restrict the volume on the speaker itself? I just wanted the ability to have a low outdoor speaker volume.I understand Sonos doesn’t allow the independent control of different speaker pairs… thanks
We’ve got several Sonos products, most of which work fine.In 2 rooms with an Amp with ceiling speakers, the music randomly ‘mutes’/ stops whilst the other Play units carry on. It’s not for long & then they join in againAlso, in other rooms with AMPs, the speakers won’t play over a certain volume for prolonged periods.Thank you in advance
An older thread was closed on this topic. I have a 3y old Sonos Amp that also died. No power despite trying multiple power cords, outlets, reset. We have 4 amps and 4 ports, and none of the others died so I do not think this is a power surge (all are connected to surge protectors). I am now a little worried, since this was the oldest amp we have-- are these other Sonos Amps destined for failure? Before I buy a replacement, I wanted to see if others are seeing these fail...
Hey I have the coax feeding my receiver with the output set to variable. I have to turn the volume up on my receiver 40db from the default to match the SL’s in the other room. Is there any fix for this? It’s a bit dangerous since if the source is switched at the receiver the volume is so high it could blow a speaker - it’s happened and the effect is total voice of God.
Has anyone mounted the Sonos/Sonance Outdoor speakers to a pole. The instructions says to use 2-½ inch U bolts but I don't know the thickest bolt that will fit in the holes. The ½ in is too thick so will a .3in or ¼in. fit. Thanks.
New to Sonos. Unable to make this combination connect and play. Have tried both Sonos Apps: “Sonos S1” & “Sonos” and am getting conflicting error information. The Onkyo website says this receiver is compatible with the Sonos Connect hardware. I have tried the various help pages with no luck. Is this interface possible? I want to play music to 3 Play:1 speakers over wi-fi.
Can I use Sonos in Restaurant with 36 ceiling speakers based on computation if we do 4 spekars per AMP I need 9 AMP then they say I can link this AMP via Switch with 1GB port is this workable?
I have installed a new Sonos amp on a pair of Klipsch speakers and the driver is not working only tweeters
Is there any workaround to make this work? I bought a port for ceiling speakers but would like more bass.
I have an outdoor place and I am looking to buy 1 sonos amp with 3 pairs of sonos architectural outdoor speakers and 1 sonance 6.1 garden series with sonos amp. Can I play the same music and synchronize both amps to play the music together? Also, if I am playing the music on 1 amp connected to 3 pair of outdoor speakers, is it possible to turn off 1 or 2 pairs or do all 3 connected speaker pairs will have to play together?
I’m resurrecting my old vinyl deck and an old s1 connect. Rest of my system is in s2. So I downloaded s1 app but there is no option to start a s1 system by adding a product just options to S2. Any thoughts? Thanks
hi , I hope you can help,I have a Sonos Connect linked to a Linn amp and speakers . The system has been giving an unpleasant and constant crackle .I've replaced the connections and changed the power source but this hasn't helped . The problem seems to be when I activate my other Sonos products: a Sonos One and a Sonos Connect amp in other rooms . Have you any idea why this is happening .thankyouBrendon
Hi all,For too long, I’ve put up with terrible performance from my Sonos system (frequent drop outs, frequently have to restart the iOS app to get it to connect to the system).I’ve resolved to connect each speaker via Ethernet in the belief the task would be relatively straightforward to implement - just a question of getting an Ethernet cable to each speaker.I’m starting by trying to understand the Matrix. Many items come up as ‘undefined.’ Is there a way for me to change that so the Matrix is more useful? The bottom left cell is coloured red, which I believe means an active, but poor wireless connection. Yet it’s hardwired via Ethernet. Am I incorrect to think it should be grey? For background, I’ve got a Linksys Velop MX5300 router and a couple more of those as nodes. I’ve also got some switches plugged into the MX5300s in order to expand the available network ports. Thanks very much for any insights you might have!cheers, Andrew
I received my Sonos Amp and I plugged my turntable and a TCL TV (via HDMI ARC). I have no problem listening to music but not with TV. I syncronized TV in the app and it seems everything was ok, but It doesn´t sound. Anybody has had teh same problem?
Bonjour,(english message will fallow)Existe-t-il un manuel français pour les haut parleur sonos architectural INCLGWW1? Is there a French manual for the Sonos architectural IN-CLGWW1 speakers?Merci/thank
I have a sonos amp thats hooked up to in wall speakers and a tv in my basement. I use spotify as well to play music on them occasionally. Whenever I choose to play music in the basement and then stop it and leave, it repeatedly turns back on and starts playing the music I was playing again and again at random. it could be every 5 minutes or in the middle of the night. How do I fix this? I’ve closed the sonos app many times, tried only to use spotify, reboot my phone, reboot the amp (I don’t want to do this as a standard fix), and I don’t even have a really reliable fix. How do I stop this from happening?
Sonos account online but showing no products registered.Sonos s1 app showing Account details as ' Sign in' but I have already signed in but it doesn't register login details.Mobile connects to Connect amp but cannot update product therefore cannot use it. Sonos chat cannot fix problem. Thanks
I recently purchased a Sonos Amp and I am experiencing a constant, slight hum coming from the unit, even when it is not playing music or when no audio cables are connected (except the power cable). The humming is faint, but noticeable in a quiet room, particularly when I am working, as the Amp is placed on my desktop.I have used multiple audio devices in the past, but this is the first time I am encountering this issue. Is this normal behavior or could there be a problem? Before requesting a replacement, what steps should I take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue?
I have moved into a house with Connect:Amp installed (I think it is likely more than five years old) I have installed the Sonos 1 app and it can find the unit after I turn it on with a factory reset (power on whilst holding the top button (mute button). The app then asks me to press and release the top two buttons (mute and volume up) but then never proceeds beyond that. The unit light starts flashing orange. The Connected:Amp is connected to my router via an ethernet cable and is connected to the same network as my iPhone
I have the Sonos Arc and have my Amazon Music (Unlimited) and Pandora accounts connected. In my Amazon Music app settings, I am using the default Loudness Normalization. That’s supposed to “play all songs at the same loudness level.” However, that is not at all happening. One song will play at a good volume, then the next song will be extremely loud. It doesn’t seem to matter whether the song is HD, Ultra HD or Atmos. How to remedy this so that they play at one level on the Arc?
Hello! I’m trying to connect Pro-ject Essential 3 turntable to a Pro-ject Phono Box S2 pre-amp to the Sonos Amp. I get the vinyl to play for about 5-10 seconds (sound is great) and then the sound cuts out and no sound continues. Any recommendations or suggestions?
