I use my Connect:Amp for my turntable and it works great. I also have a CD player and a large collection of CD’s that I would still like to play. My question is: does anyone have experience using an a-b switch with a Connect:Amp so you can easily switch between two devices? If so, does it work well or are there any problems you have experienced? Thanks.

No volume control. I have a new Onkyo RZ830 and new Connect. Set up works fine. The Connect as well as all other Sonos devices are seen on the net (other forum strings have stated this is a problem with this Onkyo but not in this case). Power and input switching work fine. In the past, the Set Volume in the Works with Sonos menu on the Onkyo needs to be set quite high to get a good dynamic range on the Sonos app volume control. This has been an acceptable method. On this set up, the Onkyo volume gets set at what ever level you choose (or last level) but the Sonos room volume control has no effect. Setting the room Advanced settings volume to "pass through" allows the Sonos app volume slider to move but has no effect on the volume. Setting to "variable" is not allowed as the app defaults to "fixed" when "variable" is selected and setting to "fixed" is obviously not the solution. Hi, im looking to build a whole home audio system using a combination of Onkyo 787 receiver, a Sonos connect to power the 3 zones within the receiver and multiple Sonos Amps to power additional zones throughout the house. All speakers will be hard wired to the receiver and Amps. A couple questions with this set up... 1. Can my Onkyo receiver play Sonos if the source is selected? 2. Since these are all hard wires, should there be an audio delay between the zones powered by the Onkyo receiver and the Sonos Amps? I’m new to sonos and want to understand any issues prior to going all in. Thanks everyone for your help!

Just received email from Sonos suggesting I replace my bridge with a boost. The mail is non specific as to why? Just really says it’s old! my bridge is used as a stand alone booster to extend range of my Sonos to the garden (which is well covered by a mesh Wi-Fi system). What exactly is “wrong” with bridge (apart from the known dodgy psu) that warrants replacement? Or is this a warning for end of support?

I've moved over to straight wireless setup and curious if there is any use for this bridge I have.

I really want to hear my vinyl through my Bose wireless  headphones. My speaker system is all SONOS products with Connect:Amp to link Rega Planner Plus 1. Is this possible?

We live in Missouri and have a large backyard area. We just installed a big walkout deck with Raintight underdecking, which should keep that area pretty dry. I also have good wifi out there. It is completely shaded at all times, so there would be no direct sunlight. If I were to put the Connect Amp into a place where it cannot get wet, how worrisome is the extreme cold and hot temperatures? In the past, we've had our Amp in our basement, but this is a new house (to us) and getting the Amp inside is not going to be easy. Wondering if storing it under the deck is an option.

I have been using my ZP90/”Connect” for at least the past five years to direct the Sonos signal to my NAD integrated amplifier (3120) so I can listen to Sonos-sourced content through the speakers attached to the amp (B&W 686s plus subwoofer). I simply use RCA cables to connect the line-out jacks on the Connect to a line-in terminal on the NAD.I’m now considering trading up to the Sonos Port under the new trade-up program. Will I be able to have the same setup with the Port that I now have on the Connect? Thanks for any and all advice.. Howard

Hi, I have a Sonos Connect and 3 Play:1s. The Play:1s are working fine but the Connect keeps disappearing (from Android and Mac apps). If sound is playing through it that stops too. Sometimes it comes back by itself after a while. If not then usually rebooting (remove power cable, wait 5s, reinsert power cable) gets it working again for a while although not always. When it’s playing up I also sometimes hear a click through the amp/speakers that it is connected to - the kind of noise you get when you turn something on without turning your amp off. That makes me think it could be rebooting itself. I don’t think it’s a network issue - it is connected with an Ethernet cable to a TP Link Deco in the same room as the master deco, and even when the Connect is playing up I can still ping the Deco that it is connected to from my Mac or the phone with the Sonos app that the Connect has disappeared from. It got to the stage a couple of weeks ago where it wasn’t connecting at all. Hello Sonos community! I'm fairly new to vinyl collecting and analog sound. I invested quite a bit of money into Sonos a while before vinyl started growing on me. I currently have a sound bar, and 2 play 3's in a surround sound configuration in my living room. I have a pro-ject turntable currently just running some old bookshelf speakers. I bought a connect:amp to hook the turntable up to. Sound quality is great, but I was hoping to push it a little further. I ordered a tube amplifier online. My question was if I run the record player to the tube amp, then into Sonos connect:amp, would I get any sound quality benefits? From either wired speakers connected to connect:amp or more specifically my Sonos speakers?

Good day, I currently own the PLAY:5 (1st generation) and recently bought a pair of KEF LSX which I have upgraded the FW to support Airplay 2. My plan is to buy an additional Sonos One and group it with the PLAY:5 to bring Airplay 2 to both speakers. Then in step 2, group the KEF LSX and both Sonos speakers via Airplay 2. Objective being to play music on KEF LSX, PLAY:5 and Sonos One at the same time. Has anyone tried something similar and can share whether this would indeed work? If so, can you use the voice control while remaining grouped over the brands to change songs and receive the Alexa output?

I have a sub a playbar and two play fives. I set them up as a Surround Group. When I play music, Do the 2 play fives act as a stereo pair?

Is there any converter on the marker that converts dts to dolby digital (With hdmi and optimal output and Hdmi input) Playing Blu rays With only dts HD or dts soundtracks is not possible With the playbar (I dont want to select pcm as output so that is not an option) Or IF anyone can recommend a blu-ray player With option to re encode dts to DD 5.1. IF you recommend one I need complete settings in audio menu. My Sony BDP-S 5500 has dolby digital compatible output (converts dts to DD 5.1 using edid) but its NOT I say again NOT working tried everything...reset all different settings etc. My tv supports DD 5.1 pass thru via hdmi (arc) to optical out on Tv so thats not the issue. Even tried connecting via coax out to toslink adapter and then to playbar without getting DD 5.1 . Please can anyone recommend a solution to get DD 5.1 to playbar When playing blu-ray disc with only dts soundtracks. Why don’t I hear sound through my playbar when I have my cable playing through the TV? Since my Samsung flatscreen tv is a little older without a Digital Audio Optical port, I had to buy a Digital Optical to RCA converter to utilize the Red-White ports on my TV. However, I still do not hear sound. Everything is plugged in. Has anyone run into an issue like this before? Thanks

I have a Bose lifestyle 5:1 surround sound hooked to my tv and theatre system. I also have my xfinity, and Blu-ray hooked to my Bose. I would like to be able to hook my Bose to Sonos and still have my tv go through my Bose speakers. I just want to streamline both systems to one Sonos system. Is this possible? My kids still use Blu-ray and we aren’t getting rid of cable. Any advice or solutions would be appreciated! I currently have 4 Sonos speakers set up throughout my home.

Hello All, I have a question about the Sonos Amp. Is is possible to use the HDMI and analog RCA input simultaniously and stream their signals to different Sonos speakers? Example: Stream the audio of a playstation thats connected through the HDMI input to the speakers near the TV and at the same time stream the audio of a turntable thats connected through the RCA input to the speakers in the kitchen? And/or would it also be possible to stream an internet service (eg, spotify) to a third pair of speakers while using the other input(s)? Cheers!

I’m curious how Sonos would work in the following setup: 1 x amp for front passive speakers 1 x amp for rear smaller passive speakers + Sonos sub is the sub crossover setting global or could I set different crossover for the front and rear speakers?

Hi All. Just after others experiences. We have a bridge and have never had a problem with dropping etc. SONOS are obviously pushing the switch to boost with a discount on it for bridge owners. Is it worth it given that we have no problems with he bridge set up? TIA

I am considering getting several AMPs. I plan on hooking 1 up to the TV via hdmi ARC. The other AMPs will be in other rooms. 1 of them in the guest bathroom. What I would like to do is stream online music to the guest bathroom unless something is playing on the TV. In that case, I’d like the sound in the guest bathroom to be the same as the TV... When the TV is turned off... back to the online music it was streaming before. Is this possible to kinda “set and forget” this? Or does it require going into the app and switching back and forth?

How can I get my sonos connect to trigger on my external amp ?? I wish sonos would add a 12v trigger... I am trying to figure out how to get my sonos to trigger on my external amp from standby mode. I don't want to leave amp in active mode all the time.

I am using the analog out to a stereo amp, going to several sets of speakers. When I have the app balance set in the middle, I am getting 80% of the sound out of the right channel and 20% out of the left. I can rectify this by pushing the balance way to the left speaker, obtaining a 50/50 split. I am wondering why I need to do this - shouldn't the split be 50/50 with the balance control dead center? I have checked al of the connections. It also happens with every set of speakers, and is not being caused buy the amp (the amp has LED's showing input levels for each channel) so I know it is emanating from the Connect. And this happens whether the output is variable or fixed (in the app).

I had to replace my Samsung sound bar and have a Yamaha has-207 soundbar to replace it. I plugged my optical cable into my cable box and need to connect My sound bar to my Sonos connect. I plugged th a cable into my sound bar and the OUT L and R plugs in my connect and have no sound. Does anyone know how I can get my home audio to include my new sound Bar?
