Hello everyone, please forgive me if my question is answered already but I search for somedays now and I cant manage to find an answer.I have two Sonos port. Each one connected to a stereo amp with HI-FI speakers in different rooms.I want to listen the music coming from a CD player that is connected to my first Sonos port(A) line in, simultaneously to both port (A ) and port (B) outputs. So play the line in from port (A) to the line out of both port (A) and port (B).I cant manage to do that.Is it possible or I am trying something that is not supported?   From the app S2 I select the line in on the port (A) that the CD is connected then I try to play that to both port (A) and port (B) and nothing comes out.Is it also possible if I want to listen the CD to the room of port (B) and listen a radio station on the port (A) even when the CD is connected to the port (A) ? Thank you in advance for any suggestion

Hi, I was wondering what the best way would be to achieve this goal, I want to play my vinyl through the house, including my Tannoy speakers, I also want to stream from my nas to all speakers including my Tannoy speakers. The turntable has a pre amp and rca connections, the amp has no digital connections but does have a line in and line outThanksPhil 

Hey guys i have a sonos zp80 and a wd 100 can anyone tell me how to pair it to sonos s1 or my sonos zp80

My Port is up and running and sounds fantastic. But I have a question. When I’m playing a vinyl, cassette or cd through Port I always have to group the rooms (TV Room) when I have to flip the vinyl or change to the cassette or CD player. In other words I have to go to my app and group my Port (TV Room2) to my TV Room/Garage/Bedroom/Move in order to here the music playing. It’s a little annoying I have to go to the app and group the Port every time. Is this normal?

Hello, I have a Connect Turntable in my system that I’d like to give to my son (along with two Play:1) so that he can connect his turntable with built-in amp at his apartment.  Will this work if these are the only components he has in his “system”? Thanks.      

I plugged my Teac TN-300 into the Sonos Five and all I get is a faint highly distorted sound. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:Toggle the pre-am switch on the TT on and off multiple times to make sure it’s not a sticky switch. Changed the cable connecting the TT to the Sonos Five Tried multiple settings on the Line level (from 1 to 10) Kept autoplay off Made sure I am only playing on the Sonos Five and not on any other speakers in the home Disconnected and reconnected the cartridge head Reset my cartridge weight and anti-skatingAny other ideas? Is it possible the Sonos Five is fine except for a bad Line In?

I can seamlessly play music through my port on my works with Sonos receiver but when I stop the music it does not automatically switch back to tv volume. I have to manually change it, why?

hi, i have the in wall and the amp ready to go.  when i go to the app to add the architectural setup it cant find my system.  the amp is linked but do the speakers need to be linked.  i have an arc hdmi’ed arc’ed to my projector and appletv to my projector.   what do i need to do to add the arch in wall to my arc please? 

I have the Project T1 and can’t get it to work with my 5...(note I don’t have the T1 SB, just the standard T1) Is it that I need a pre phono between the turntable and the 5? If so are there specific ones that are compatible for the 5 or are most ok?   

Hi, all. I am running a Sonos Port through a Home Theatre Receiver. I believe this means the Sonos Port has a DAC that is converting the digital input to analog and sending the analog signal to the Home Theatre Receiver (which has it’s own DAC).This DAC to DAC situation can’t be great for sound quality. Is there a best practice or an optimum way to handle this situation in order to get the best sound quality?Thanks!

Hi I am the owner of 3 Play 5 gen 1 and a Playbar - i connect them to my bridge which are connected to my network switch.But my bridge is now dead - not power in it - and I can't get my Play 5 to connect or work - so I guess it is because i need to bridge to connect?I looks like i can't buy the Bridge anymore.Is there anyone who can help with a good advise - should it work without the Bridge og what to do ?

I want to get 2 different components (turntable and CD player) to access the Line In input on my Connect:Amp. Is there a way to do this without having to plug and unplug each time I want to switch between components?

Hi!I just bought a Sonos Port, to diffuse my old vinyls all around my house, on my sonos speakers. Usualy I use my turntable (thorens td60) on my amp (marantz 2270) with wired speakers.  My question : Do I absolutely need a preamp for connecting my turntable to the port , or I can pass thru my actual amp ? If so, how do I get out from my amp to the port ? I’m leaving a picture of behind my amp so you guys can help me . thanks !!     

App: Sonos 2 on Andriod Line in: Play 5 (gen 2) I have play 5 gen 2 as part of cinema setting paired with another play 5, playbar, and a sub. I can’t see a Line In option in the Source menu on the app either when having the line-lin cable plugged in. The other end is plugged into my desktop PC.   Anyone else is experiencing this issue?  

I like opera.  How can I watch it online through my pc and listen through Sonos?  When I have tried it using the line connction the timelag is painfully long.  Thank you for any advice.....

I’d like to be able to play the line in source of the port through the speakers that are connected to it. I’ve only been able to do it by going through the network, which introduces a lot of latency. Am I missing something?

In my account I have clicked upgrade and my two Play 1 have now gone out of my system how do i get the upgrade switched off and the two Play 1 back into my system 

So I have my Play5 sat high on a shefl to fill the room. I have my new Pro-ject Turntable on my bar. They’re several meters apart with no obvious cable run so how can I connect without having to use the Line-in cable option? Any Line-out convertors that work with the Sonos App?

I have an analog cassette deck I’d like to play through a single Sonos Arc speaker (+/- Sub). I’d also like to be able to play my TV sound through the Arc as well.  I know I can connect the TV direct to Arc via HDMI or optical out, but should I utilize the AMP versus PORT to mediate the connection from the analog cassette deck to the Sonos Arc? Is there an advantage or reason to connect the TV to AMP rather than directly to ARC (not an option with PORT I presume as PORT doesn’t have HDMI input). I presume the other advantage to AMP over PORT would be being able to in the future wirelessly connect to Sonos architectural speakers? basically just trying to verify that AMP and PORT would play wirelessly to Sonos Arc, and if using AMP, whether it’s better to route TV into the AMP along with the cassette deck, or just patch the TV directly into Arc.  thanks!-JFish

I am trying to set the correct line-in level of my Sonos Fives when listening to vinyl.I have a Pro-Ject X1 turntable. My previous cartridge, a Pick It S2 MM, had a relatively high output voltage of 7 mV and I had set my RIAA (a Pro-Ject Tube Box S2) to the lowest possible gain of 40 dB, and then set the input level of the Five’s line-in to 1 or 2. Higher than that and I started hearing distortion.My new cartridge is a Sumiko Moonstone and it has a much lower output voltage of 3 mV, so I need to up the gain a bit. But it would be nice to know the sensitivity voltage of the Five’s amp so I can calculate the appropriate gain of my RIAA as well as selecting the optimal input level of the line-in. Does anyone here have that kind of technical insight?

Hi. I have a Connect for my separates hi fi system which is not compatible with the S2 controller. I wanted to keep up with developments & improve functionality etc so the Port, at a substantial cost, seemed the next best step. Unfortunately reviews of the Port are showing that sound quality is poorer & sound stage confused in comparison with the Connect. Is Sonos aware aware of this backward step & are they they fixing this so the Port becomes a quality product & an improvement in the sound delivery department over the Connect. Until this is so I am sticking to the Connect & the S1 app until it becomes totally useless. Thanks for any comments or advice. Keith D.

what is the high and low temp for use of the sonos connect - I have it set up in the garage and wanted to keep it safe

I believe that Trueplay will only work if you use the Sonos/Sonance speakers with the Amp, is that correct?  If so, how does that work. I think I read that the Amp identifies a unique impedance of the Sonance speakers and enables Trueplay.  Is the Sonance speaker and odd impedance? Won’t long runs if small diameter speaker wire increase impedance? I would love to use the Amp with a third party in ceiling speaker, but don’t want to lose Trueplay.  Is there anyway to make this happen? If you run 2 sets of speakers off the amp you are running at 4 ohms correct?  So each speaker is still seeing 125 watts.. If you use 4 Sonance speakers with one amp, can you still you Trueplay?  If you pair a Sonos Sub with the Amp, can you run Trueplay?  Anyone have any idea where the crossover point is set when using a Sub with Amp? Thanks all,Steve

My line-in connection on my Play 5 is not working. I’ve tried everything from making sure cables are secure, different sources, different levels, etc and still no sound at all from the line-in connection.
