Hello there,I have a Sonos ZP80 and trying to connect it using my Sonos s1 app on iPhone.When I plugged it to power the light is still flashing white and never stop and I am unable to connect to the ZP80!!I tried to hard reset the ZP80 and the App several times , But unfortunately I still unable to connect.Please help.

Hi, I was hoping to stream music from my sonos connect through my old stereo speakers,  i have connected  the sonos connect to my old receiver but nothing is coming out of the old speakers.What connections should I be using?

I have a Port, which I use to connect my turntable. I then route the Port into my AV2 input on my receiver. In the past, I have been able to play a record into my ceiling speakers, and also two paired One’s in my office. However, I got the Beam, which is linked to my TV, and ever since, I can’t get my records to play through the Port, to my ceiling speakers. My TV is HDMI ARC wired straight into the Beam. And when I try to play a record through to the ceiling, I make sure my received input is set to AV2. I can still play the record through the port to any of my Sonos speakers. Did I throw something off by adding the Beam? Am I missing an important step? Welcoming any ideas. Thank you!

Newbie and can’t seem to find the answer, but if I connect a turntable to port, can I stream that output then to the Arc and a sub?

I tried to connect a new sonos amp with a sonos subwoofer. amp is connected to 2 speaker and I would like add subwoofer in Wi-Fi.It connects correctly from app but it doesn’t work.  

I am wanting to set a sonos sub up in a room where i have ceiling speaker connected to a sonos Amp. The Amp is in a closet where I have a “home run” setup.  It seems the Sub is too far from the AMP to get a signal from it in the room, I can move it to a different room, closer to the Amp and it will work.   Evidently the sub talks directly to whatever its paired to and not separately like other sonos speakers.   Is there any way to get a better signal to the Sub?  current setup is WM:1   thx

Hi,I already did some research on matching amplifiers and speakers, but there’s a lot of contradicting information on the internet. I hope I can get a more conclusive answer here.I’m looking to buy a Sonos Amp, but I’m not sure if it will be compatible with my speakers. They are very old, from the 70s, KEF Concertos.I know the Amp has 125W/channel at 8 ohms. This is the information I found concerning my speakers:Nominal impedance: 8 ohms Rated max power: 50 watts programme Sensitivity: 9.5w into nominal 8 ohms produces 96db at one metre in anechoic conditions Amplifier requirements: 15-50 watts per channel into 8 ohmsAm I right if I say that the Amp is actually too powerful for my speakers, but it will work and won’t do harm as long as I don’t go past a certain volume percentage? Can I use the Sonos app to limit the volume to let’s say 40% to be sure?Thanks in advance for your help!

Sonos claim better sound quality over the Connect. I use the Sonos Connect digital output with an outboard Rega digital to analogue processor. Would the sound quality of the Port be any better via digital output of the Connect? I doubt it! Have Sonos increased the digital resolution - no. So the only reason for me to upgrade is to keep pace with the latest development of the Sonos operating system. However, being able to access to my digital music library collected over many years is worth more to me than the cost to upgrade. So I will probably do so at some point. Regrettably, in my system this appears to be a sideways upgrade. David

Hi have a connect gen2 that is very temperamental. Sometimes it works great and other times it just won’t connect anything. Is there a more reliable alternative to link my turntable and CD player to my Sonos system? Thanks!

My elac speakers doesnt sound good connected to my sonos amp;ifier, the sub sonos also is connected and i thonk the sub is the only one that makes the sound good, elac lacks power!

It is known that Trueplay works on the Sonos Amp with 2 Sonance in-ceiling speakers.However, when you connect 4 Sonance speakers in parallel as described in this article, does the Trueplay still work?

Has anyone tried mounting an amp sideways behind TV? or would there be any problems?I have a set of ceiling speakers that are wired to behind my TV and I’d like a clean hidden wires setup, so I’m considering mounting my amp behind the TV somehow.  The cable limitations for the HDMI are driving me to this solution.  

We have 4 built in ceiling speakers (non-Sonos) in our basement - they are currently hooked up to a non-Sonos receiver/amp, which is connected to a turntable with a preamp setup.  How would I go about setting up those 4 speakers to Sonos?  I guess I am looking into 2 ideas: Is it possible to feed the current receiver/amp into Sonos so I can play the turntables over the Sonos system? Is it possible to connect the 4 wired speakers into Sonos, so I can play Sonos music to the hardwired legacy speakers?Any ideas are appreciated.  Thanks so much!

Has anyone had any luck with longer hdmi cables?i tried a 20m long one, supposedly high speed, but it doesn’t work. 

I am no longer getting sound through my Sonos connect from my turntable. It is connected to Sonos one speakers and was working fine last week. I have looked on the Sonos tips, but no settings have changed since last week so that does not help. My connect still appears as connected in my app. Any suggestions?

Help!I am failing to get sound from my turntable. I have the Pro-ject Essential III (no pre-amp) connected with the turntable RCA wires into the Pro-Ject Phono Box S2 RCA in ports. Then from the Amp Box out ports connected to the Sonos Amp RCA in port.I can get sound to the speakers if I stream music into the Sonos Amp from my phone. But turning on the turntable and playing vinyl, I only hear the slightest sound from the turntable. Not sound through the Amp or speakers.Somewhere between the Turntable and Amp is a problem, but I have tried everything I can think. The turntable has no pre-amp, but I have an external pre-amp connected. There is no switch on the turntable for phone/line out. The Phono Box S2 seems to be working, at least the light is on. Help!!!!Thank you for any insights!

I have a Rega RP1 turntable and a Sony CD player that I plug into an amplifier, which goes through the tape monitor loop to an equalizer and then the amp goes back out to a Sonos Connect.It dawned on me - the amplifier is physically big. With the Connect, my balance and volume (and tuner) is controlled through the Sonos app.So really all I’m doing is:Using it as a preamp (and ground) for the LP Switching back and forth between the CD and LPSo it dawned on me, do I need the amp?Could I get a basic phono pre-amp (for example) and go straight from LP to preamp to EQ to Connect?And to combine LP and CD, goLP=>Preamp=>A/B Selector Switch=>Connect  and CD=>A/B Switch=>ConnectRight?

I need to replace one of my Connects that is Gen 1 and therefore not Sonos II compliant. I will be picking up a Port to replace it.My question: if you are using the digital output to go into an outboard DAC, is the digital signal presumably a pure unprocessed bitstream?  I had assumed that this would be the case with both units, but have read that if you use the Port even for volume level, you are implementing a layer of signal processing that may/will affect sound quality.  I do not know if that was the same situation with the Connect.When I get the Port I will have the choice of using it in one of my high res systems where volume is adjusted by another unit or in a secondary system where I do use the volume adjustment of the Sonos unit.Does use of volume control with the Port affect sound quality?Does use of volume control with the Connect affect sound quality?FWIW, I have found the on board DA conversion on the Connect to be adequate for background music but deficient for serious li

I have an issue that has annoyed me for well over a year now, but today it was particularly bad. I haven’t seen anyone else with the same issue. So decided to post here. I have looked on the forums for a solution, but no-one else seems to have the same issue.--- SYSTEM --- My Sonos system is comprised of a Connect and 2 Play:1s.The Connect is connected to ethernet back to the router. Both Play:1s are on wireless.This issue only seems to affect the Connect, so I don’t believe this is specifically a network issue.--- ISSUE ---The issue is that the connect will jump/skip/stutter the audio of a song. Now I don’t mean skip to the next track, I mean jump like a record skipping, it just seems to “miss a beat” here and there. (I have some audio recordings of it doing it, but I never seem to manage the really bad ones). It will often happen more at the beginning of a track.For extra information, it does not matter if I am streaming FLAC or MP3 from my NAS Drive or online streaming from Spotify/

Hello I have been using the Sonos amp with third party speakers for a few weeks and for the most part love it. I'd like to suggest some enhancements. Are any of these possible?- Bluesound (Sonos' competitor) has a volume leveling option which is great when streaming music from a playlist with different artists and recordings. It would be nice to see this option in Sonos. - EQ and sub settings that can be customized and saved for different audio sources/inputs (mainly home theatre and music) as I often have to adjust levels when switching between content. - A display of audio stream quality when playing music through the Sonos app. Even just to verify it is coming through at CD quality/hi-res. Amazon's music app has this for example. - A FireTV Sonos app. I could then run everything right from my TV and not have to use the phone. I also wondered if it's possible to enable RCA input functionality without internet. Hello,I am looking to complete an install that was started a while back.I have 5 zones (5 pairs) of speakers with volume controls already installed. 3 zones have a pair Proficient C621 ceiling mounted speakers with PVC2 volume controls on each pair.1 zone has Proficent AW650’s and a PVC2 volume control. These are outdoors.1 zone has a Proficient C635 TT dual voice coil with a volume control.All of these pairs home run back to a central location and are hooked up to a Niles SS-6My intent is to have the Niles SS6-6 on and all zones turned on at all times and use the volume controls to control volume and just turn all the way to zero when music in that room is not needed. the SS-6 is strictly used for the impedence protection at this point.I have a Sonos Connect but I do not have a amplifier currently. Since the Sonos Connect is discontinued product my thought was to sell it and purchase a Sonos Amp and feed that into the speaker selector to power my speakers. This would reduce the amount

I've just got a Sonos Connect (gen 2) second hand and a pai of B&W WM4 outdoor speakers. I don't have an amp so I'm considering buying a Nobsound or Fosi Audio mini Bluetooth amplifier (under €100).Has anyone used either of these mini amps with a Sonos Connect? Your experience? 

Hello, Quick question, SONOS ONE GEN2 and SONOS ONE SL are the same product, but for the microphones. I noted that  SONOS BEAM and SONO MOVE use their microphones also for optimizing the sound, and not only for the assistance. I was wondering if the Sonos One Gen2 do the same time (or will do), or well, if its microphones are only for the assistance?? Thank you ! 

I know this topic has been discussed before, but all the topics I could find have been closed for discussion.I would love for Sonos to add an option to have zero line-in delay in exchange for the inability to route the line-in signal wirelessly to other speakers. This is for music making purposes. Others have mentioned turn tables, in my case it’s keyboards/synths connected to a Sonos Amp.I love the Sonos Amp, I have it hooked up to my TV, and I love the ability to have it play my Spotify in my living room and other rooms together.But there is a real use case, for me as well as for others who have posted before me, to use a given Sonos speaker (and in particular the amp) in a wired-only setting with zero latency.  I know I could connect a Sonos connect and a dedicated amp to my living room speakers to get that (and bypass the connect when I need zero latency), but then I’d lose the automatic turn on/off feature of the Sonos Amp for all the times where I just play regular music over it,
