Hi, i have upgraded one of my connect amps for a new amp, and i plan to use it for tv sound also,My problem is my tv is in a different room than my sonos amp and virgin box with all wiring concealed in walls, currently my virgin box uses the HDMI to TV for standard TV Audio, how can i get sound through my wired ceiling speakers that currently work via sonos app from new Amp,My TV has an ARC HDMI socketFYI, i have spare wires not used to TV from room where the virgin box and Amp are located, they areCAT5Optic cable2 x red/white line in  plugssingle line with 3.5mm jack plug on

I recently bought a house and trying to get it figured out. The previous homeowners had a Sonos Amp connecting 3 sets of speakers in the house and worked with no issue. I bought the same amp but I can only get one pair to work regardless of wiring combo. Coming out of the ceiling, I have a set of 3 red wires, a set of 3 black wires, a set of 3 green, and finally a set of 3 white wires. When I go in the attic, all three sets of speakers are using black and red wiring so I am lost on how to troubleshoot the cabling and what it should look like. 

Hi all, I'm using the Sonos amp with 2.1 third party speakers. I run FireTV into the TV's HDMI. Most of the apps on FireTV run Dolby Digital Plus. I selected audio pass through on the TV's settings. TV is connected to HDMI arc to Sonos amp. Most of my videos apps use Dolby Plus so I assume and hope that somewhere along this transfer the Dolby Plus will convert to Dolby Digital (Sonos compatibility)? How can I verify this? I assume I wouldn't get audio if it wasn't compatible but would be nice to check this because I find the phantom centre doesn't work all that great and maybe it's because I'm not getting the right audio format. 

Hi I’m really struggling to understand how to setup my new Port to my Denon AVR x550bt Receiver. Im not technical, but there are a number of RCA ports available for AUDIO IN but can't seem to get any volume out of the speakers when I turn it on to Media player or CBL. The surround sound speakers are being used by sky box/HDMI input Any help would be appreciated? Cheers 

Hello,I bought a Pro-Ject T1 BT that I connected with RCA → Jack cable to my Sonos Play:5 (connected in stereo).I use the “Line” Output from Project T1 turnable.everything is getting well, but the “power” of the sound is quite low. I need to tune between 75 and 100% of the max volume to hear something acceptable.Do I did something wrong ? (As it is a T1 BT, no switch between preamp or not because there are 2 x 2 output : “Line” or “Phono”)Many thanks in advance for your help and advises :)KRNicolas

Hey guys i have a sonos zp100 that I found in my attic i tried to factory reset it when I went to the setup it said error 11 (which means the software is too old to update) and it said to call sonos but I'm in the Philippines there is no sonos here please help what should I do?

We have two Sonos ones with a Sonos sub in our kitchen  (zone 3) and a pair of smallish Paradigm speakers in our living room with a sub (zone 2) now running off a sonos amp in lieu of Zone 2 on our avr as it is easier to launch from the phone and we use it more--especially the wife.  We stream amazon music in those zones more than anything but can use the Sonos amp to play CD’s etc from our Library/HT/main listening area (Zone 1).  I am getting an Apple TV for the Library and that can stream amazon music to the AVR and then to the two other zones but it is a bit clunky.  I had some help with fishing wires by an electrician who also helps with HT and he said best to get a Sonos port and use the digital coax out to the avr to keep it simple.  I suppose I can run everything form the Sonos amp then but still need to trigger the avr and have the correct source chosen.  I am confused by the choices and appreciate any comments. 

For some reason this amp has garnered a reputation for being “bright.” I’ve seen it mentioned in reviews, and I’ve seen it come up on these forums. What follows are a few thoughts I have on the matter and my own experience with the Amp.There’s a good thread on here comparing Amp’s freq. response to a Peachtree Nova 150 (known for being warm/musical, tube preamp, etc.) and the responses are nearly identical, with the Sonos Amp showing slightly less high-end output over 10k. So from a technical comparison (and granted these are only one user’s in-room measurements) the amp is not showing any sort of high-frequency emphasis. I’ve been using the amp for a bit over a year now, and in my personal experience it’s never sounded overly bright or fatiguing. Neutral, clean and clear, but not bright. Paired with some Elac Debut Reference bookshelves, it delivers a nice even-handed, rich and dynamic sound. Compared to my Yamaha HS8 powered monitors, the AMP/Elac setup is actually much smoother soun

So my set up is 4 Sonos One's in various rooms in my house. Aso have a Sonos Beam in the Living room. In one other room I have a Marantz PM6006 Amplifier which has a Marantz CD6006 CD player, Project Essential turntable and some Monitor speakers all connected to it. I've now bought a Sonos Port. Connected the Port to the Marantz Amp and streaming Spotify through that and all synced up with music playing throughout the house including the Monitor speakers. So no issues there. My issue is connecting the Amp so I can play records and CD's through my Sonos system. I've connected some RCA cables from the Aux Line In on the Port to the only Audio Out in the Amp which is referenced under Recorder. Although I am able to play a record on the turntable and hear it on the Sonos One's and also the Monitor speakers the Sonos One's are about a second behind the Monitors. I guess my question is have I set that up right? If I haven't what should I do so all speakers are synced? If I have set up right

Is it possible to set up a turntable wirelessly/bluetooth to the Amp?

Connect Amp and TV line-in 

I have tried to set options on the app, so that when I play a vinyl, connected to my Sonos amp, and third part speakers, the volume diverts away from the tv to the turntable. I’ve not been able to achieve this?Any help appreciated Cristof

HiI bought a sonos port and having an issue / unsure if this setup is actually supported...I have a AMP / DAC combo which connects to headphones. I have my Sonos Port connected to Speakers but I also have a  digital out connected to the DAC (via coax cable). I want to use the sonos as a digitial audio reciever which can then send the audio to my headohone, via the DAC.I would like to get my sonos to recieve music (works fine) but send this  via the digital out to the AMP / DAC so i can listen via my headphones. I think in theory this should work but in practice i cant find anyway to make this happen. Everything is connected fine, the cable via the sonos digital out goes to the digital in of the amp / dac, but tho i select the sonos port no audio is coming through. So is what I want to do possible, if so, how? Thanks! 

 I am in the process of building a home and am looking for some input regarding our speaker setups for our back porch and garage.  We will be using two separate Sonos Amps.  One for each space.​​​​​​ The back porch is approximately 20 x 20 with a 16ft vaulted ceiling.  We will be placing a TV on the back porch and connecting it to a Sonos Amp in order to watch TV and listen to music.  We will have the HDMI and speaker cables routed to the amp in our media closet.  We are looking using 4 Klipsch CDT 5800-C II’s for our back porch.  Will the amp be able to power those speakers and still sound good or will 4 of them be too much for one amp?  The garage is approximately 1000 sq ft with a 10 foot ceiling.  We hoping to put 4 Klipsch AW-650s or 4 Definitive Technology AW6500’s.  We are hoping to put one in each corner around the 7 ft level.  This will be just for music.  Will one Sonos Amp be able to power all 4 of these speakers?  Will 4 speakers be too much for that size garage?I really  a

I have recently moved into a new apartment.  The seller left behind what must have been a quite costly audio system installed ca. 2010.  The heart of it is a Niles GXR2 receiver.  It is connected to speakers installed in the walls or ceilings of multiple rooms.  There is a handheld Niles controller on a charging base that enables you to select the rooms that will play and control volume.    The system as set up has just three inputs labeled on the controller:  ipod, xm, and fm.  There’s no ipod there, nor do I have (or want) an xm subscription.  The fm does play, but the reception is very poor.   I brought from my last residence a Sonos Connect unit that can stream music and radio broadcasts from the internet.  I have gone through the setup procedure and the Connect unit appears to be receiving our home wifi.  I now would like to connect it to the Niles receiver.  The Sonos Connect unit has left and right analog outputs.   It will be the only music source.    Thoughts invited on how to

I have a Sonos Connect and a Yamaha AVR along with a JBL SP120II subwoofer. Right now I have the Connect plugged directly into the JBL Subwoofer’s RCA In and it sounds really good when paired with my (2) Play:1’s and (2) Play:3 speakers in a Stereo Configuration. If I plug the JBL Subwoofer into my Yamaha AVR using the AVR’s Subwoofer OUT and then connecting the Connect to the AVR’s Fiber Optic in I am not getting as good of bass in that configuration and I am not sure why. I have gone through all the settings in the Yamaha AVR and everything looks properly set. I was thinking that when I get my new TekTon Mini Lores this week I would hook them to the Yamaha but leave the JBL subwoofer connected directly to the Sonos Connect’s RCA out. If I did that would I be able to also connect the Sonos Connect to the AVR via a Fiber Optic connection and have it send the Audio out of the Sonos Connect and the Yamaha at the same time? My other concern with that option is how would I independently co

I was able to connect my Denon turntable to my Sonos system using the Sonos Connect when I bought them back in 2015. I had an issue with the wi-fi that would interfere with the Connect. I have since moved and have tried to reconnect the same turntable to the same Sonos Connect without success. The turntable does show as being connected on Line-in but when I play it there is no sound. Have tried turning the TV on, tried turning the streaming service on, tried plugging into other ports but get nothing. Denon turntable has white and red audio cable that I have plugged into in-jack on Connect.any ideas?

Currently have an internal Mesh Network with over 13 Amazon Echos or various models connected.  I have found it frustrating to keep them going as a group Often stopping mid song or after a song, and I have to repeat the request to keep playing. I currently own Sonos ARC, Sub, and two Play one rear channel speakers.    So I was thinking of expanding this solution for the rest of the house.   Two questionsIf I extend this to include another 4 more Sonos one’s, do folks have any experience of a larger group like this doing well on a Mesh network (Not stopping constantly)?  Trying to see if I should invest and dump the Amazon speaker solution How Many Outdoor Sonos speakers can one connect to the Sonos Amp?   I am consider connecting four of them.  Can they all be connected to the same wire in series from one Sonos 250watt amp or do I need to limit it to one pair of leads per speaker and I need two Sonos amps (4 leads) to drive four Sonos speakers?

I have (2) 130 RMS Speakers & 2 150RMS Speakers both 8 ohm. I want to connect these to the Sonos Amp in parallel. Is the Amp powerful enough to handle this load? 

First Gen Sonos connects have the Sonos label below the volume control Yes? Will only work with S1 correct?

Can someone please direct me to where I can find what the differences (spec / performance) are between the Gen 1 & 2 versions of the connect amp? I am looking to buy a couple of amps for some ceiling speakers (kitchen and dining room) - I’m hoping that connect amps will be sufficient. I’ve looked on line but can’t find what actually changed in the Gen 2. Thanks in advance.
