I recently got a new router. My two sonos speakers reconnected to my network but my Connect isn’t found as a device. I can’t figure out how to reconnect it to the system. I’ve tried unplugging and that hasn’t worked. 

From Amp / Port to Arc: Can the Arc play music from analog devices connected to Sonos Amp or Sonos Port? I have a CD player and a turntable which I would like to listen to using the Arc. Is it possible to connect them to Port or Amp and stream the music to the Arc speakers or do I need to get an additional speakers? From Arc to Amp / Port: Can input from the TV going to Arc be streamed to Amp or Port and played over the wired speaker connected to them?Thanks! 

I have a Sonos Amp powering two Sonance in-ceiling speakers, which were installed last December and have worked flawlessly for about 11 months. Absolutely zero issues since day one, and I’ve been completely satisfied and impressed.  But just recently, the system will play fine for around 30 - 60 minutes before a LOUD static/pop/crackling sound will occur for a split-second and then the music or TV audio immediately stops and the Amp goes into fault mode (alternating orange/white LED).  I have pulled both Sonance speakers from the ceiling to check the wires are still properly connected, as well as checking all connections at the Amp itself.  This issue occurs both while playing music through the Sonos app and while playing TV audio via HDMI ARC connection.  Since the issue occurs when playing through both wireless and HDMI input sources, I don’t believe it’s audio-input issue.  Could this be an overheating issue, and if so, why would this just now begin to occur after 11 months?  I have

I’ve read through a similar thread that has since been closed and I don’t feel that it was thoroughly handled.We are diplomats that move every few years and it has been a bit of a challenge setting up our Sonos each time. We have purchased Sonos products in Canada, Europe, Uk and Japan and are now moving to Zimbabwe.Canada and Japan use the same power cable, Europe has their own and Zimbabwe and the UK use the same power cable. The trouble is, when you move to a country that doesn’t have Sonos support, you are left without functioning speakers. In theory, if you can get to a local Sonos dealer, you can order the appropriate power cable for your speaker and just swap it out (don’t need to worry about the voltage requirements). We did this for some of our N. American and European speakers.Now that I’m moving to Zim, I need the G type power cable used in the UK. Hi, New here so greetings! Quick question, I have been given a ZP90 and all of my other components are s2 compatible. I have created an s1 compatible network just for the zp90 but it is not showing as eligible for the upgrade program.Do I need to do something config wise to get it registered for the upgrade programme? Thanks.  

Hello, I am looking to add outdoor rock speakers around my pool area and power them with the Sonos Amp. I am still undecided if I want to go with two or four speakers. I have a new Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable (with pre amp) with the RCA connecters into the line in on the Sonos Amp. In the house I also have two pairs of Five speakers and three Play:1’s.There are no wired speakers coming off of the Amp. The goal was to play records and have the music picked up on any of the speakers in the Sonos network.The Amp settings areSource Level 10 (high)Autoplay OffMy issue is that all I hear is heavy static when I set the audio to Line In and then at the highest Source Level and max volume I can hear a little bit of the audio.Any help is appreciated. Is it possible to charge the Move with a portable battery pack like anker, mophie etc with the USB-C port?

I have 3 Sonos architecture ceiling speakers and one connect amp. I currently have it wired to just 2 of them right now but would like the amp to power all three speakers, I don't mind if they are different volume as they are in different rooms but was wondering if someone could direct me in how to safely wire this, thanks! 

Can the Sonos Amp run dual mono mode with one 8ohm speaker on the right channel (Mariner 54) and two 8ohm speakers wired in parallel on the left channel (Sonance LS4T)? 

Does the Pro-Ject T1 SB Turntable have a pre-amp connection? I want to connect the turntable to play it through my Arc - without having to buy more speakers like the Sonos5. Do I need the Port to do that?  The Pro-Ject T1 SB turntable says that ‘It has Outputs - RCA Phno/Line (switchable) - high quality Connect it E RCA Phono cable’  Do I need to physically connect my Arc to the Port (ie Turntable connected to the Port / Port Connected to the Arc - then I can play music?). My Arc is already connected to the back of my TV and the only added connection no the back of my Arc looks like a cable line modem connection.  Do I connect my Arc to the Port via the cable/line modem connection?Thanks - very confused!Kevin 

I painted one of my ZP90 Connects Black and it came out really nice.  I’ll be doing the same for my other three Connects and my old ZP120 AMP! 

Lockdown boredom has got the better of me so I’ve been thinking about what Sonos could next.Currently I have a Playbase 5.1 system with 1s as rears, a Beam, Port connected turntable, 1s in other rooms. All connect by the S2 app.What I’d like to see is a new amp with eARC for LPCM like the Arc and three channels for the front to include a centre. Sonos could also sell a range of passive speakers based on 1s? for front duties that would then allow trueplay which I’ve found does an excellent job of room calibration.I really think this would sell well, the Beam doesn’t sound as good as my Playbase, neither can handle LPCM, the Arc is quite substantial. I think a lot of people would see this as a great alternative to the huge AV amps available.Any thoughts?  

I have a simple setup in a small room - Play 5 connected directly to a Teac TN-300 turntable (AT 95e cart and integrated pre-amp).  I’m upgrading my turntable and don’t know whether it will make much difference to get a stand alone pre-amp.  While I like the Play 5, this is certainly no audiophile setup, so I’m not sure I would realize enough benefit in sound quality going with a standalone to offset the convenience of an integrated pre-amp.  Have any of you experimented with this?

Hi! I bought I very nice setup for my new house (ARC, SuB Gen3, pair of One SL, AMP and 3 pairs of Architectural speakers…. I am very disappointed since I though the amp had more than one zone…I have wired my house for the ultimate experience…. I have also wired my backyard but it’s useless since I only have one expensive amp that can’t make the difference between my backyard speakers and my architectural speakers…Yes!!!  I saw some cheap speaker selectors that could make the trick but you need to select them manually… This is pretty basic stuff to be able to power up 1 set of speakers in that SONOS amp… I have something to tell to SONOS manufacturer.Why there is not a possibility to put something in the architectural speakers to be able to select à zone???? That would be good marketing too. If you need to use a specific zone, you need our amp and our architectural speakers…Now, I would need to purchase an 800$ Amp per each zone…. But my bathroom only has one speaker… This is crazy mon

I've just upgraded from the Connect to a Port so I can use the new Sonos app across all my devices.  I think I'm probably OK to live without the buttons on the old Connect but it would be great if the Status Light on the Port showed white when it was playing but turned off when it's not playing.  There only seems to be an option to have the Status Light on or off in the app. - but that seems to be irrespective of the status of the Port.  So I might be missing something but in normal use it doesn't seem very useful...  Also since I'm playing through an amp Onkyo TX-NR696 (which turns on when I play from Sonos) I'm left wondering what happens when I turn the amp off.  Does the Port keep playing?  Maybe that's a philosophical question but it would be great if when I turned the amp off, that the Port knew and would stop playing and the Status Light would go out to show that.I'm not sure of the power consumption difference between playing and sitting idle but I know my old Connect would get

Hi everyone, I’m new to the community. Have been a huge fan of Sonos and own quite a few of them. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this question - I have a connect amp, and just purchased a pair of Sonos outdoor speakers. I know the recommended amp is the newer Sonos amp with 125w per channel. Will I get away with using the Connect amp I already have?  And will I get good results from it?  If not, what are the downside?  Thank you 

I recently tested my Sonos Port’s digital output to see if it’s bit perfect or using some type of digital signal processing. I have an older Sonos Connect that is connected to my amp aux input via rca cables. In addition to all the streaming content and my music library available through Sonos, I want to be able to stream some content from my iphone into this system. The Sonos Connect has RCA inputs, so Im wondering whats a good airplay or bluetooth dongle that can be connected to the Connect, and I assume can be selected as "Line-In" on the Sonos Controler app. Airplay or Bluetooth better audio quality? What I have: pair of SONOS Play 1’s SONOS Move SONOS 5 (back ordered, en-route) Onkyo TX-8020 receiver pair of KEF Q150s Polk HTS 10 sub vinyl player (no phono preamp) BenQ HT2050 projector + Chromecast (gen 3)What I’m trying to achieve:Integrate my Hi-Fi/vinyl system with my SONOS system: I would like to play vinyl music and have it play across my SONOS speakers. Likewise, would like to use my KEFQ150s to play music I stream via Spotify. Would it also be possible to have music play concurrently on my old speakers AND SONOS speakers at the same time?      2. This has been bugging me for a while. The line in inputs on my (new) Amp is coloured red and white. There’s no indication of L and R but to my knowledge in all audio equipment Right is red and Left is white. Most,if not all, are marked that way.When i connect a CDP for example using Line in inputs (red to red and white to white) and play a audio test CD what should be coming out of the left speaker comes out the right. I have learned just to live with this by crossing the connections to my CDP. Has anyone else experienced this ?

I want to upgrade my multi-room generation 1 system but have different component needs now in my new home. Eg, I don’t need a 5 nor do I need a Connect:Amp. Can I use these to upgrade to different products?

I have a Sonos Zp90 player that has worked fine until recently with external speakers (Audioengine).  Nothing new changed.  It just plays intermittently, and is so incredibly annoying.    Anyone else experiencing it?   I think if I ask Sonos they’re just going to try to get me to upgrade to a better system.   I like my speakers just fine and I’d like to hang on to them.   Does anyone know how to fix this?  Thanks in advance!

Hi Everyone,Looking for some help on setup for my office. Let me start by saying I’ve seen all the zero latency line-in threads and that’s not what I’m asking for here.I would like to setup some studio monitors in my office so that I can do real-time audio monitoring from my computer, but I would also like to be able to, at times, add them to one of my Sonos groups. So here is my question:Are there any devices that can take two audio inputs (computer audio & Sonos amp/port input) and switch between the two, preferably automatically. Bonus points if I can also switch the output from the studio monitors to headphones on the fly.Thanks in advance!
