move 2 will not turn on- is there any other way to  power it up besides the charge unit that comes with iy

I’ve read on the Sonos website that with the latest software, Move 2 speakers can now be used as surround speakers for a Beam 2. I have a new Beam Gen 2 and two Move 2s, all on the latest software. All three microphones are enabled. The Move 2s are set up as separate rooms, powered on over Wi-Fi, in the same physical room with line of sight to the Beam. When I select Set Up Surrounds on the Beam, the app only offers my Sonos Amp (which is in a completely different area of the house) and does not detect either Move 2. I also unplugged the Amp and retried.I have gone through all of the checklist items on the Sonos website, some of them multiple times. I’m not sure what to do at this point.

Hi All, I am currently in the middle of an extension build, the end result will be open plan dining, then kitchen and an additional seating area at the end, this space is roughly 4.8m x 11m, 3m ceilings... I would like to incorporate speakers for music, and then TV/Movies and PS5 around the seating area. I like the sonos for simplicity and expanding at some point into the garden for summer BBQs.I was thinking either 1) Arc Ultra alone OR 2) Beam2, a sub mini and 2 x ERA 100s on the back wall (either side of the art on the picture) at the tv area, and a ERA 100 at the other end between the dining and kitchen for filling the area when only listening to music. We are at a point of electrics in the build, now I am thinking do I need 2 x 100s wall mounted at either side of the sofa for rear surround? My concern is that I obviously don't have the room to sit them behind the seating area, so will they be too much 'in your ear' for surround sound AND also if your lazying on the sofa listening t

I’ve been wondering how other Sonos users keep track of useful audio and music-related videos they discover online. There are quite a few types of content that can be useful to revisit later — speaker setup guides, room-acoustics demonstrations, music recommendations, listening tests, product walkthroughs, and tips for getting more out of a home audio system. The difficult part is that useful videos can quickly get buried in social-media feeds or saved-post sections.I’m thinking about creating a simple personal reference system with categories such as: Speaker setup tips Room and acoustic ideas Music recommendations Home theater setups Streaming tips Product demonstrations Troubleshooting references For those who regularly use video content to learn about audio equipment, what is your preferred way of keeping useful references organized?Do you rely on platform bookmarks, playlists, cloud storage, or folders on your computer?I’m also curious whether people actually revisit the

I uninstalled the Sonos Controller from my iPhone and then reinstalled, so I presume have the latest build of it.I added 34 entries to a queue using the Add to end of queue and Add next options. When I click the queue button, the Queue page opens and never fully realizes--all I see is a grey list of items with no data in it. It does render the correct track count. See screen shot.I tried leaving the queue up for a while and it did not seem to render.I am loading tracks from a (large) personal library, though it seems like that should not matter. This feature does work on my MacOS controller on my MacBook Pro--I can see all of the songs just fine. This feature appears to have been broken for me since two years ago--so is it just me? I can’t fathom why such a major and fundamental feature would remain broken for everyone.

Product idea- offer something to replace and fill in the holes in my walls where the home intercom system devices were installed.Systems typically have a centrally located master control that could be replaced w a device to run Sonos App. It typically has a doorbell intercept wire and a microphone and a wire to each remote intercom unit.  I’d bet Sonos could build a retrofit adapter kit and do something cool to give these homes a modern update to resurrect these features.

Any idea how I can remove it, I tried factory reset but it just shows as “Powered off” now? Surely it can’t be this difficult.

Hi All Why do I get update your system, witch again will send me to the beta app install. I am not part of the beta program

As Golden Gate is no longer in beta and is now a general release OS what is being done to address the connection issue?  I continue to see updates as it’s still in beta and that’s no longer the current state.

Sonos please deactivate voice reply. It is so annoying and completely unnecessary. Awesome, great choice etc. Nobody wants it!!

This thread is aimed at all of us whom has a Sonos Roam product (and probably a few other Sonos products as well). This thread aims to solve the following issues:Sonos refuses to add google assistant as a voice assitant (getting stuck during onboarding) Google Assitant commands can only Stop and Say what it is playing, but not Resume / change it (timers still work) Sonos Roam only plays if directly adressed, otherwise responds with “I can not do this on this device”.I have already solved these issues, the step by step guide is posted bellow as a answer. The solution i found to these problems are as follows:Issue #1:This requierd me to do a full unlinking of the product to my google account,Remove assistant from Sonos app, as it tends to get added but not work Press the Cogwheel (Settings) in the top right Press General Settings Select Voice Assistants then remove Google Assistant from your device Remove the connection from the Google Home app Open the Google Home app Click on your p

Hey hey! My name is Nate, and this is my first post here! I wanted to describe what I’m working on, and see if anyone’s interested in it! It started out as a little project for me. I love having lyrics displayed for songs, and I wanted to figure out a way to have them display automatically. Turns out, it’s possible!  The current state of the project: •Seamless integration with any Sonos ecosystem•Connects to both Sonos and/or HomePods AUTOMATICALLY •Syncs with Philips Hue and Nanoleafs•Weather and photo Idle screens (Kinda like Aura Picture Frames)What you need:•Computer connected to WiFi/LAN, or Docker Container•Device that can access the internet browser (currently laggy on a fire stick, buy if you’re able to stick a mini pc behind a device it works like magic. I’ve gotten it to work on smart TVs, Xbox’s, and even just a chrome tab) (Do note that the help of AI was included in the making of this)I would love to hear feedback on the project, and if anyone would like to test, please le

I have sonos one with Alexa installed  when I ask Alexa to play a radio station it ill say now playing but i hear nothing

Looks like there’s some changes coming to Hue that gives further integration with Sonos. Use all Hue remotes and switches to control Sonos speakers. info is sparse at the moment but this was leaked on the Hue website so seems legit.  Lots going on at the moment!

Sehr gut ist der lokale SONOS-Sprachassistent. Bitte dringend in DEUTSCHER SPRACHE anbieten, nicht jeder will AMAZON oder GOOGLE oder APPLE auf seine Lautsprecher lauschen lassen. Do ace headphones work in the same way as sonos speakers?

Why my Beam doesn't stay connected to the network while I'm outside?  And why I couldn't reconnect it? How can it saved my network?

Moderator edit:Google Translate-I currently have a Sonos Arc Ultra, two Era 300s, and a Sub Mini.Since the latest update, my Sonos Sub Mini keeps disconnecting. I’ve already performed a factory reset and a router reboot, and reconnected it. It connects, but after a couple of days, it loses the connection again—it’s a constant cycle.I’ve used Denon, Bose, and KEF equipment all my life and never had any issues. It’s disappointing to buy a complete Sono

Hi all. I currently have a system in my living room which consists of an Arc Ultra, Sub Gen 4 and 2 x Era 300s. I use an Apple TV 4K and a 2021 Samsung Frame TV to watch all my content (through the Apple TV). Over the past 2 months I have been getting a very loud and rhythmic (almost like a heartbeat) thumping noise from my Sub Gen 4. It happens only when watching content (doesn't seem to happen when I listen to music through the app). When I pause the content on the TV, the thumping noise continues. I have tried removing the Sub from my system and re-adding it, done a factory reset, spoken to Sonos Support (who were nice but not very helpful) but the issue just won't go away.  The issue has started a couple of months ago while before that I’ve been running the system just fine for about a year or so. Any help will be much much appreciated!

Has anyone fiddled with the Apple Shortcuts automations for Sonos?  I created an automation to play every Sonos Room.  I know I could have just said “Hey Sonos. Play Everywhere”, but using that option plays the Rooms at whatever volume they were last set at.  The beauty using the Apple Shortcuts app is you can preset a volume for each room.  Unfortunately when I looked at what music can be played the choices were only radio stations in the Favorites list.  Has anyone been able to access Sonos Playlists as well as Radio stations?

Why is the connection to DR lost (again)

Help from the pro’s needed...🙏11 Speaker Sonos System - Becomes Unresponsive After a While (Sky Max + Orbi RBE871 AP Mode)I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction because I’m running out of ideas. My client has an 11-speaker Sonos system consisting of:Beam Sonos Amps Play:3s Sonos Ones RoamFor over 6 months they’ve experienced intermittent issues including:Rooms disappearing “Unable to connect” “Cannot communicate” App timing out Speakers appearing in the app but with no playback controls Alexa playing to the wrong room or saying it’s playing when nothing happensOriginal NetworkI discovered the network was configured like this:Sky Max Hub (routing + Wi-Fi enabled) Orbi RBE871 mesh (Router Mode + Wi-Fi enabled)So there were effectively two routers and two Wi-Fi systems.Changes MadeI spent the day simplifying everything:Sky Max Hub now does all routing and DHCP. Når jeg forsøger at tilføje kanaler fra DR LYD får jeg at vide at der ikke er nogen elementer at tilføje. Det er for øvrigt startet i dag.Tidligere havde jeg ikke problemer.

I have installed a SONOS system to my house and I( think I have grown to actually hate it. It looks fantastic but is so difficult to keep all the speakers working. The APP guides are so frustrating as they don’t allow you to go back. My phone has been saying ‘Connecting to your Play 5 for 40 mins. This has happened a few times and if I shut down the App I lose all the speakers that I did have success connecting. I have x2 Players, X2 Play 5, x3 Sonon 1’s, x2 Sonos Move, x1 Sonos Boost. It all looks good, sounds great when it work but I am now beyond the end of my tether trying to get all speakers connected.

I’m considering getting a Sonos Arc Ultra for my living room, mainly for PS5 gaming and movies. I’m interested in how well it handles Dolby Atmos, especially with games that support 3D audio. For those using an Arc Ultra with a PS5, how is the dialogue clarity and surround positioning? Do you normally use Dolby Atmos, LPCM, or another audio format?I’d also like to know whether the sound remains balanced at lower volumes. Any advice about TV eARC and passthrough settings would be appreciated.
