we use sonos in our medical clinic. often when the speakers are grouped, they cut in/out. when i do network speed test we are getting 100mbps downloads so I’m quite sure it’s not a wifi issue. furthermore, i’ve noticed that if i ungroup the speakers, the interruptions mostly stop. the problem with this is that every room now has a different sound track and frankly it defeats the purpose of having a sonos “system” in the first place. we are about to expand and open more clinics and I am not feeling confident that sonos is the solution. I like sonos, but these interruptions are a problem and affect our patient experience. help? has anyone else experienced this issue and how have you resolved it?
I was listening to LiveXLive on Sonos and unwittingly clicked the dislike 🛇 icon (as shown in the screenshot below) even though I liked the song. The station immediately began playing another song. How can I see what the initial song was? And how can I reverse my vote from dislike to like for that initial song? For that matter can I see all the songs I have liked (or “hearted”)? Regards,Roel
I am adding 2 Boosts to my setup (upstairs and down). I am trying to figure out the most effective way to set them up. I have various speakers along with a sonos port. Many of my devices are near ethernet jacks. My main question is this: Other than the Boosts should any speaker that is near e-net be hardwired for best performance? Additionally: If everything is wired is my assumption that the boost should be used to bridge any gaps between hardwired and wifi-only speakers?
Hi, this is to continue the discussion on the previous topic which was closed.Does anyone has news on this? The issue persists on my system, since the launch of Atmos Music on Sonos & Amazon last December. To reproduce the issue:On Sonos Beam Gen 2 or Sonos Arc with Amazon Music account; Select a Station from Amazon Music that has a mix of Atmos and HD/Ultra HD tracks, e.g., Today's Hits; Start playing and DON'T skip songs (be patient!); If, by chance, the first track is Atmos, it'll play fine; Wait until an Atmos track starts playing after an Ultra HD or HD track; The volume will be so low that you can't barely listen to it; Tap the pause button; Tap the play button; The Atmos track will resume playing at the normal volume; If, by chance, the next track is also Atmos, it'll play fine; Return to step 5 (the issue will always happen).I have opened a ticket with Sonos support in December, but no solution until now
I recently upgraded to a Mac Studio and now I am unable to connect to my music folders which are stored on an external drive. My old iMac didn't have any issues. The location of the folders was not showing up in Sonos correctly so I deleted them from the Sonos Music Library Settings and tried to add them back. When I try to add them, I get the following message:In the ‘Get info’ panel for the folder, Ive changed the permissions for SonosDMS from Custom to Read & Write, but when click ‘Next’ after entering the folder path, it gets changed back to Custom.I currently have the firewall turned off.Sonos is working as expected using streaming services.Apple Studio M1 MaxMacOS 12.3.1Sonos Controller 14.6
Since mid December Sonos Alarms stopped grouping our rooms. The first Alarm of the day is the main issue, it will not Group our 5 Rooms. After we manually Group all 5 Rooms and reset sound (some rooms stop playing sound for some reason even when First Alarm is Grouped) all Alarms, more than 6, come on throughout the day for the most part. Except for 2 stations in the evening that we stream, we hear the Chime. Sonos or Tunein will no longer stream these two stations, but will stream if reset manually. Several interactions with Sonos staff have failed to resolve these issues, we remade Alarms, rebooted router, modem several times and more. We paid a bundle to upgrade Sonos system 2 years ago, 4 Amps, 1 Port, Move Speaker, Sonos now only provides frustration. We suspect an upgrade to some software program in Sonos, Tunein or ? in mid December threw things off. Perhaps Tunein? We are on the “Free” Tunein. Alarms all worked just fine for many years until December. We have over
Hello everyone,at the moment i have 1x Sonos Beam and 1x Sonos One connected in a group. When we watch TV the sound can sound a bit hollow to listen to. True tone is setup on both devices. Can anyone explain how this comes and how to fix this?
We have just installed a Sonos System for a client in a large house. There are 3 Sonos Amps running ceiling speakers and TV audio along with a couple of Play 1 speakers. After visiting site today we noticed that the IR to the Sonos Amps had stopped working, if we power cycle the Sonos Amps IR control works normally then stops again.ISSUE 2. We have hardwired one Amp to the router then daisy chained the other two ( looped from one amp to the next ) and disabled Wi-Fi in the Sonos Amps. Everything worked fine for a few months but now they get intermittent audio dropouts and skipping tracks when streaming from any music service, TV audio is fine. Sonosnet is not an option as the house is too large to bounce the signal. They have submitted a diagnostic - 205459698Any advice greatly appreciated.Lee at Emotivv
Hi all, Recently I had some playback issues with FitRadio and had to remove it from my services. When trying to add again, I click on "I already have an account” and it automatically errors out saying unable to authorize account. It won’t even let me enter username and password.I am not sure what I can do to reconnect. I am able to add other services like SiriusXM where it prompts you to enter your username and password. What can I do?
Hey y’all, I wanted to see if others maybe had this issue and had some fixes. My ARC (setup with 2 subs and 2 play 1s as surround speakers), occasionally has kind of an echo/phasing effect.I notice it most often when watching Last Week Tonight (which is in Dolby 2.0), where partway through most episodes, it will start to sound like Jon is a football stadium announcer with the audio instead of being from the front speakers, starts to also have a slight echo in the surround speakers.Recently, however, it has done it on music playback from my computer library (I have the surrounds setup on Ambient), where the echo effect happens again. With HBO (native app to my Vizio TV), I can just stop the show and restart it. With the music, that didn’t work, so I restarted the speakers. But I can’t figure out what might happening, or if there’s likely a specific hardware issue that might be causing the issue.Any thoughts you all have would be appreciated. Thanks!
I’m surprised that there is a gap in the Metal/Hard Rock category. There are several metal stations based on year groups, but where is the Hard Rock? New Lords of Metal plays a lot of great new metal but no hard rock? So, where is the new hard rock? It’s not even in the Rock category either? It’s so funny, there’s multiple obscure channels playing the same death metal, but where’s the Five Finger Death Punch, Avenged Sevenfold, Halestorm, Black Label Society, Rob Zombie …
Why does it say it's no longer available?
Hi,I’ve seen topics about this issue but these are rather old. I don’t know if the fix that was developed is still applicable or that it’s already merged with later general updates. So the issue is that, after my Sonos speaker has been playing music for a while (from Spotify, Stingray, whatever), it starts repeating a track continuously. When it starts repeating, the controller shows track info that it is supposed to be playing, but instead it plays this track over and over.To stop this I have to switch to another channel. Is this still being under development and is there a fix for this issue?I’ve generated a diagnostics report, the number is 1028674601.
I have an m4a that won’t play, even though it seems to adhere to Sonos’ supported file formats. Here is some more information about the file:Codec: AAC LCSample rate: 32 kHzThe error message I am getting is: “The song is not encoded correctly”. It plays without any issues on other devices. Why doesn’t it work on Sonos?
