I can't listen to Radio Swiss Classic IT anymore

Forum|alt.badge.img

I used to happily listen to Radio Swiss Classic IT on Sonos.

Then came the 'Catastrophe'!

The station disappeared and I cannot get it back.

The radio station say there is nothing wrong at their end.

I guess it must be more fallout from the disastrous software update?

Not sure if you’ve already tried this but add  myTuner Radio to your connected services and see if you can play the station from that service. I just tried to play Radio Swiss Classic IT and it works for me.

I wouldn’t think so. What did you listen to Radio Swiss Classic IT on, in your Sonos controller? Have you tried rebooting your router while the Sonos are unplugged?

If so, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. But don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, they get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

I'm surprised that you 'wouldn't think so' Bruce.

The so called 'update' has been the biggest disaster to owning Sonos equipment since I bought my first speakers over 10 years ago.

I've been through EVERY remedial option, to no avail.

I'm am constantly assured that things are getting back to normal (by the BOT that purports to be the Sonos CEO!), which is patently not the case!

Will someone please suggest something that works?

I thought I did, by suggesting you contact Sonos Support, rather than merely posting in this community. It wasn’t clear from your original post, and still isn’t, what ‘EVERY remedial option’ is, and since this community doesn’t have access to the details of your system, I certainly was taking a guess. If you just wanted to complain, fine, but the way your post was framed, I thought you were looking for assistance, which I offered, based on the extremely little knowledge provided of your situation.

Originally, when all was well, Tunein

After the disaster, was when it stopped working.

I have spent hours talking to customer support and tried every technical option in the book.

I don't believe it's anything to do with the equipment.

I think that Sonos have lost control of their own system due to an ill advised race to increase income.

My own personal opinion, it's a tragedy that won't be fixed.

Thank you MmTt

I have tried that streamer in the past and it didn't work but having heard from you, I'll try again.

Thank you

So adding (new) TuneIn did not work for you?

Remember to set up a free account on the TuneIn website first, before you ad TuneIn to Sonos as a content service.

Thank you 106rallye

I did try the new TuneIn and got nowhere, (just silence and a whizzing 'hour glass' but I didn't set up an account first as you suggest.

I will try that too.
