Hi!I have a Sonos amp in my outside patio and two Sonos Ones as a stereo pair in my living room. I used to be able to group them all directly on my iPhone with my Apple TV that is connected to a receiver in another room, and they would a play music in the whole apartment. That option stopped working all of a sudden. I did a little googling and found about this “Group non-AirPlay Products option” so I anxiously went to check… but in my Sonos app that switch is greyed out and I can’t toggle it. Can someone please help?
First, I am an adept of sonos products.Now. For the roam, sorry..Change all the time from bluetooth to wifiWithout charge, just wait for 20 minutes before she accept to answer to you, when she accepts to charge with her sonos base (not all the time).Lost from group permanent. To be reinitialized all the time.Connexion in bluetooth ? Call Einstein!!!Don't buy!! Go for the rest of the products.
I’m traveling with a Sonos Roam and would like to have it available in S2 app connected to WiFi network instead of on Bluetooth via AirPlay. Is it possible to connect the Roam to S2 app … even if I need to create a new account and setup? Or is there another way to stream Spotify or Apple Music directly to the speaker instead of via Bluetooth / AirPlay from my phone?
So i have seen the explanation about the Roam turning itself on but i don't understand the logic around why it turns on when the sonos app has NOT been opened or used. every time i go to use the speaker the battery is dead. I recently charged it and watched. No Use on any other device and no use of the app and still it turns on and stays on. This is a major flaw and has zero logic around it. has anyone been able to prevent this? leaving it plugged in all the time seems like a stupid solution.
Hello,Is it possible for my friends to connect to the Roam with bluetooth if they have not installed the sonos app ?If they could, it would be great !Thank you Quentin from France.
I am in the process buying a sonos roam Bluetooth speaker. I would like to know if I can connect it via Bluetooth with my Samsung TV? Currently my Marshalls Bluetooth speaker connects and so does the bose speaker. I asked sonos customer care chat and they said no its not possible to connect your TV. If anyone can help out
Hi I have read topics on this already but I just wanted to check something. whenever I open my Sonos app (which is quite often) my Sonos roam powers on. I have read about switching it off by holding the button for 5 seconds but it when I do that the blue light comes on to pair it over blue tooth! How do I just stop it coming on all the time?!!!
I've had the Roam for a week and I’m generally happy with it. My only issue is the on/off button, its very stiff and unpleasant to use.I have to press it either really hard or multiple times to turn the device on, it's also very fiddly trying to activate bluetooth pairing mode. Is this a common issue or a product fault? I spoke to Sonos tech support and they seem unfamiliar with this issue and have recommended me to factory reset the device. I highly doubt this will fix the issue if its a physical fault.I’m tempted to return the device if this will be an ongoing issue and wait for the Roam V2.
If I listen to music or radio on Roam and set the volume to, say 35 (because it is daytime and I like to listen to it loud) then there is a problem early next morning. Usually I will say to Alexa on Roam, “volume three“ then “What is the time?“. Even if Alexa says that the volume is three when I ask “what is your volume?“, Roam will shout the time at me (and the neighbours) unless I adjust the volume manually using the Sonos app. For example, just now the volume on Roam using the Sonos app is 33. I have just asked Alexa “what is your volume?” And she says “device is at volume seven.”
Moved into new house with pre existing speakers. They were already setup prior to moving in and were connected to the previous internet system which got switched out. How do I set them up now that I have a new network.
Hi, I'm wondering does anyone have a sonos five s24 they could possibly take a voltage reading for me? or even circuit info which I have found to be a closely guarded secret!I need to know the voltage across the 3x 35v caps in the secondary, that's it.Thanks in advance!
Planning an Arc and a Sub for a living room. It’s new construction, so I have the option to run Cat 6 lines for each of them, going through my home LAN’s switch. Alternatively, I could have just the Arc wired, and leave the Sub to communicate over a dedicated Sonos wireless network. This document doesn’t even mention the wired LAN option, so hard to find good information about it:https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3235?language=en_US(What it calls “wired” is actually having a single Sonos device act as a wireless router.)My questions:Which approach would you prefer, if both are possible? With the Arc sitting on a stone mantel and the Sub under some cabinet shelves ~10 feet away, is there any risk that Sonos’s wireless will perform worse than wired ethernet? Or is there any risk that other LAN traffic will interfere with audio? All things being equal, I suppose not having a cable from the Sub plugged in to the wall is slightly easier, but it’s not hard to do if it will help...
Just got the roam after a while trying to switch the thing on (not realising it needs to be set up in WiFi first . anyway all done it’s there in my app I can play Bluetooth now on the go . But how do I connect it tomy 2 play 5’s ? While the 5’s are playing i press play on the roam and it just plays what I was listening to previously on Bluetooth just need to know how to get all 3 speakers play the same thing thanks
Hi,I am new to the Sonos ecosystem. I am using a Five with streaming and Line-in. On the Sonos app I find that at around 25% on the volume slider the sound is almost imperceptible.I’ve added the screenshot below. This makes it a bit annoying to adjust the volume because the I need to be on the upper end of the slider most of the time and it’s overly sensitive. Effectively I only use the right side of the slider. Is this the normal behavior? Can it be swapped to something more linear? Is there something wrong with my Sonos Five?Additional information:The issue is there for online sources too. Not just line in which I have tried adjusting with the source level settings.I have not set a volume limit.I tried the Loudness setting in EQ on and off. I am guessing this just gives a V profile EQ.Right now I can get around this for the Line-in by setting the Sonos volume to Max and using the hardware control of the device providing the input which is pretty linear but I am not sure if that is ide
Hello,My Sonos ARC’s center speaker has a lot of bass distortion (crackling during bass heavy scenes, when playing back any material that is lossless (Dolby TrueHD and Atmos (TrueHD) from a Blu ray player, LPCM from a blu ray player, etc.). Playing back lossy material in Atmos, Dolby digital, Dolby Digital+ (such as an Apple TV 4k), does not present the same issue (clean audio). This is something that I either haven’t noticed before (I bought the ARC back in August of this year), or most recently became an issue (maybe due to a firmware update?).All components are connected to my LG 55 CX model (set to PASSTHROUGH), eARC HDMI out to the ARC. I have power cycled all components, used different HDMI cords, checked that all components and TV have the latest firmware, etc. Any help would be much appreciated. since most of my watching is with lossless audio. Thank you.
So on all our devices we see in the Sonos S2 App we see all the speakers but on the iPad (Air 2 / 14.8.1) it cannot see some speakers (1x One, 1x Beam, 1x Playbar + 2x One) - any suggestions? Yes I deleted the app & re-installed it. Thanks!
Hello, community I am facing issue related to Sonoas roam when connecting with WiFi. The speakers works on Wifi . When I switch to bluethooth and try connecting it stop working (playing). I am totally confused how can I resolve the issue…?
Hello, dear community Can I use my Sonos One speakers to play the music saved on my matchbook Pro…? Reply will be highly appreciated.. Moderation edit: removed spam link
It's so irritating that the Roam drains so quickly in standby mode. If you forget to switch it off (because there are no lights on in standby) and you want to use it after a few days, the battery is empty. Now you have to keep in mind that you actually charge it every night. It would be a huge improvement if the Roam turns itself off completely after being on standby for, say, 30 minutes.
Can the Roam Portable Smart Speaker be paired with my ARC sound bar?
I am traveling and brought my Sonos Roam. I connected my smart phone to my hotel’s wifi, and assumed my Roam would communicate with my phone via Bluetooth. When that didn’t work, I attempted to connect the Roam to the hotel wifi to repeat the Bluetooth pairing process. To connect to the hotel wifi, the end user must complete two separate fields: last name, and room number. The Sonos S2 software provides a single field for a password, so my Roam remains linked to my home wifi and I can’t renew the Bluetooth pairing. I disconnected my phone from the hotel wifi in hope that would make the bluetooth connection work. Oddly enough, my phone does appear to be paired to the Roam, but I can’t play music or connect to a service. How can I fix this?
Any chance Sonos will bring this feature from Sonos Roam to Sonos Move with a software update?
Can Sonos Roam connect/disconnect to an already paired Bluetooth phone by google assistant voice command rather than manually connecting from phone's Bluetooth settings? I have a JBL Link which is a similar speaker and I just have to say - "Ok Google, connect phone" and it automatically connects to my phone. Does Roam have a similar feature?
After last update speakers loosing connection. I am tired restarting system and app.
Can I use my Sonos One speakers to play my music saved on my matchbook Pro
