can I connect a Sonos Roam to television via Bluetooth ?

I am in the process buying a sonos roam Bluetooth speaker.
 

I would like to know if I can connect it via Bluetooth with my Samsung TV? Currently my Marshalls Bluetooth speaker connects and so does the bose speaker. 
 

I asked sonos customer care chat and they said no its not possible to connect your TV.

    Depends in the codec your TV sends BT matches the codecs that the Roam supports. Check the specifications of both devices.

    It is kind of a waste of a Sonos speaker though. Probably cheaper to get a Bluetooth-only speaker.
