Have has Sonos for 10 years with almost zero issues until the last year, but clearly because I have original Sonos 5 speakers I guess Sonos is just trying to screw my investment in their company! Over the last year about every couple of months we end up not being to play anything over speakers…Sonos app can detect all the speakers, just will NOT connect! I guess the only way to keep customers these days is to disrupt original product and try and make you purchase another $10 in product…if this is how this company (that I told everyone I knew to buy if they were in the market) and now just a sellout to corporate greed and shareholder vs good product and customer service…if only companies would look again at good products and customer service vs short term $$, but I guess that’s what investors are looking for these days and not caring about the customer is where it’s at!
TLDR: What is the best way to enjoy albums given you already have an Arc and Sub? I have an arc and sub in our media room. I’ve recently gotten a port to attach our turntable, and am wondering about getting a more expansive sound. Broadly speaking, could I expect a pair of fives facing me, or a pair of ones behind me set up in a surround system to offer a better experience? I’m wondering if a pair of surrounds behind me would offer the same kind of stereo experience as speakers facing you, and if the sub and or arc would work with the fives, i.e. would I be losing bass if I ran the turntable through the fives.
How can I connect my new play:1 into Sonos OS S1 with my old Play : 5 & OneI cannot update the OS because this will disconnect the old Play:5Help !
Upgraded to s2 now I can’t connect my play ones as surrounds as they were before. I can see them on the app but won’t let me do anything with them. How do I remove them on the s2 app. Driving me crazy. I only added a new arc now hours later still can complete the setup
Where can i purchase a replacement bottom cover for as Sonos One SL
Hi,I’m waiting for delivery of a pair of Fives and a Sub for our fairly large living room. The Fives will be on shelves on the rear wall of the room. Is it best to have the Fives vertically with the tweeters (controls) on the insides. Any advantage in having them toed in? TVM.
In our living room we have a Beam (Hard wired) and 2 Play:1’s (wireless) as a stereo pair.Kitchen: 2x One’s (wireless) as a stereo pair.Dining Room: 2x One’s (wireless) as a stereo pair.Downstairs Bathroom: 2x Roams. This has all worked perfectly for over a year. All 3 zones have perfect WiFi coverage.Today I tried to add 2x One SL’s, 2x Sub Gen 3’s and an Arc to our media room (converted garage)Our WiFi coverage works literally half way into this room, the rear ones were picked straight away as they are closer to the router but adding the arc and subs took forever of hitting retry, and rebooting I eventually realised it was because of the WiFi, I added a hardwired WiFi access point with a different SSID and tried to add the new stuff to the new network, after over an hour failing I disconnected the access point and hardwired all the new stuff, rebooted it and one by one (totally stupid) disabled WiFi and now everything but 1 sub works.I can factory reset it and it shows up for a few mi
Anyone got any idea how you link a Ray and a One to make a system?I have 1 One and a Ray in the living room which I’m trying to link together to get a surround sound type system but struggling.I have other One’s throughout the house but I don’t want to add them to this system. As soon as I don’t want to select those other One’s I can’t seem to build a system. thanks
I cannot tell you how much I hate my Sonos Roam and I am beating myself up that I spent close to $200 for this miserable experience. The charge on it lasts one hour at most. Then it won’t play even when plugged in until it reaches a certain charge percentage. My old bluetooth Jambox works SO, MUCH. BETTER. Sonos Team: I have 6 Sonos One speakers wired in and they are wonderful. This Roam wireless option is a piece of crap.
Hi alli just wanted to report my SONOS ARC literally makes a BOOM (explosion noise) during TV playback and then sounds stop. This never happened before. Only changing point is my system was unplugged from electricity for about a week while I was on trip, I came back today and turn my system on and after some tv playback that strange noise appears. What should I do with Sonos Five gen 1 speakers ? I purchased new gen speakers and not sure what to do with the old ones
I work at a school with a sever and APs all over. I have a Sonos 1 in the main office, the lounge, and 2 in the cafe. If I group lounge and main office together they work or just the two in cafe. If I group all 4 together to play they do not work. Is it because they are on different APs (same network)? Is there a way to make this work or no? Also I have it on the student Wi-Fi because it doesn’t require a user name and password. I should have it on staff wifi but it requires username and password and I don’t think you can do that with sonos sadly.
Hello,I have a Synfonisk Picrure Frame and a Synfonisk Lamp (Gen2).Is there a way to pair them to have a stereo system? Thanks
If I connect a Roam to a Ray sound bar can I use the Ray voice commands.
I have stayed with S1 as I have a ceiling speaker running off an older sonos amp in the attic that I like to group with newer speakers. Suddenly today most of me speakers are showing incompatible in S1 and asking me to upgrade to S2, but if I do this I can no longer group the ceiling speaker that has to run on S1. Is this fixable? Very frustrating
Wonder if anyone can help out here.I am sending a signal from the Google Home speaker to a group of Sonos speakers via a Chromecast Audio going into the line-in of the Sonos Play:5 speaker. Since some time now the line-in signal would mysteriously disappearBoth Chromecast and Sonos claim the signal is going through but no audio is heard on the Sonos Play:5 speaker. If I reboot the Play:5, the signal returns back, but then it will disappear again after a week or two.I don't quite know what to do here and how to troubleshoot thisThoughts? .
I have 4 play 3s and a play one. We recent upgraded our wireless system. Now the sonos only works when one speaker is on the wired network. If I try to reconnect to wireless I get an error from the app.
I recently upgraded some of my old Play:1 speakers to the New Play One and assumed that i could re-use my existing Flexson adjustable speaker Stands. I was wrong. New stands supplied by Flexson are universal and they will fit but i don't want to have to buy new stands. Is anyone aware of anywhere of where i could just obtain the speaker holder/ base that fits to the top of the stem? I have looked at the instructions for the old one and the new one and they look like they use the same fixing method to the top of the stem. So i believe this is all that is needed. However i have spoken with Flexson support and they don't supply that bit. Is any one aware of a solution that allows me to re-use my old stands or aware of any where i can get the speaker holder/base ?
Hi!I bought 2 Ikea Symfonisk and I wanted to connect them with my google Chromecast (plug to my TV)Is it possible?thksJeremy
Hi.Does anyone have sound issues with the new Sky Stream/Puck and Sonos Arc? I am experiencing the sound dropping for a split second on a regular basis. Sometimes it drops completely and is only resolved by either changing channel or going into standby.
Hi. I have the Sonos amp powering two speakers for the TV. I also have the Arc and was wondering if there is way to play both simultaneously with TV or music. I have a Sonos sub as well and two Ones for surround. Thanks.
I recently installed a pair of Sonos One speakers. They keep disconnecting. I spoke to Sonos tech support, who ran a diagnostic and said that the problem was that my two routers have similar names (one name is “…..”, and the other is “…..-5G”. He advised me to change the name of the router and/or call the internet service provider. This all seems more trouble than it’s worth for setting up two small speakers and will likely just return them and go with a different system, but wonder if there are any simple solutions.
I am currently looking to purchase a Sonos 5 speaker for my turntable. I want it to stream most of the time, but I also want it to be ready to play records at a moment's notice without changing the setup. I know it can do both, but I’m not sure if I have to constantly go into the app and select/deselect the "line-in" option every time I switch from streaming to "line-in" and back again? It’s a bit of a deal breaker if it doesn’t know how to handle switching on its own, as I won’t be the only one using the speaker on a regular basis. A much less important question... As I plan for future upgrades, I’m wondering if you can pair a sub-mini to a five (or set of fives) and an Arc at the same time. Not to play at the same time, obviously, but could one sub switch back and forth between the set-up that is used for home theater and the other set-up that is used for playing vinyl?
I purchased a Sonos Beam and two One SLs last week. I noticed that the backlight is not illuminated on the volume up/down and play/pause buttons. I have verified on the Hardware>Touch Controls setting is enabled on all 3 speakers in the Sonos app (iphone). I have also checked that all speakers are up to date with the latest software and rebooted each speaker. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Sonos Move won’t charge and orange light remains on constantly. I am unable to turn off/reset either.Am I ok to remove battery whilst orange light remains on?
