Speakers

Hello I'm moving from the UK to the US and want to take my Play 1s. I imagine I can just use a converter plug but I wanted to know whether I could buy US power cable for a Play 1 to avoid having to use a converter? Also, will the Play 1s work in the States? I read a few older posts on here that hinted at the technology being slightly different to avoid people buying cheaper versions abroad? Any help or advice much appreciated. Thanks Ed

I have 5 Sonos devices on my account. My ex took 2. How do I remove them from the account. I don't want to have them linked.

I have 3 Play:1's and I'd like to buy a Sonos One but won't unless they are made to be compatible. I think making them compatible will make current Sonos 1, 3, 5 users buy the Sonos One. Has it been determined yet if they'll be made compatible?

Ultimate Ears just came out with their new MegaBlast its a Portable Wift/Bluetooth speaker with alexa and has a Power Doc accessory for use when inside. 16 hour battery life. The wifi lets the device stream with out your phone and lets you use alexa to request songs, pause, play forward etc.. When your done using it in your back yard you bring it in and plop it on the doc where it charges and can be used as one of your indoor speakers. This is what Sono's should have added to the Play One (or they should make a new one for $299 called Play one portable)

Hallo all, since you wont stop with the SONOS: ONE i would like to ask if there is a roadmap for the integration of microphones into all SONOS speakers. The reason for the questions is I would like to buy a Play 5 because i would like to have the ability of connecting my pc with the aux line in to be able to hear system sounds. The problem with that is that is that in the current iteration of the play 5 i would have to buy another Alexa Dot but then I would buy two devices which will in future probably be one. On the other hand it is unsure if the Airplay2 integration gets all old devices so I want to be sure that when i spend so much money on a speaker to be sure it fits all my needs and is the newest iteration. Is it possible to hook my sonos play 5 to my Sony Bravia television? Just wondering.

I know that questions about how to connect digital projectors with Sonos components have been asked over and over, and I understand that a Playbar or Playbase connected via an optical cable is the centerpiece of a home theater experience. I am looking for something simpler and more portable, using an Epson Home Cinema 2150. I have several Play:5's, Connect's, and Connect:Amp's at my disposal. Is there a way to set up this projector WIRELESSLY with 1. a stereo pair of Play:5's (paired as a "zone") or 2. a pair of non-Sonos speakers connected to a Connect:Amp? I know I'm not getting anything resembling home theater sound, I just would like WIRELESS sound louder than what comes out of the projector speaker, ideally using Sonos components -- but am not interested in wiring up a Playbar/Playbase. I'll be grateful for any ideas you can share. Thank you!!!

How long is the Play:1 power cord?

I bought a used sub on eBay. Other than my ears is there a test I could run to confirm if it functions to its best? Thanks

I have 2 play 5's that I was using in a large living room - sounded awesome. We've since redone the room and have speakers in the ceiling, essentially freeing up my 2 play 5's. I have one in my home office, a relatively small 10x12 room, and was thinking about adding the second one. Before I go and set the second speaker up, I thought I'd ask: How small is too small for a pair of play 5's. Since I already have them, this isn't a question of value or smart buying - simply a pure sound question. Thanks!

Hi There I own 2x PLAY:1 that are paired to play stereo music in the family room. I also own a Bose Cinemate 130 soundbar and sub for the TV. I would like the sub to play along the PLAY:1s, would Connect allow me to do so? not particularly interested in playing music on the soundbar. Thanks

Ordered a Sonos Sub that never arrived but shows as having been delivered. I have been dealing with customer support that now won’t return my emails. I am very unimpressed so far . .

Guys, I ordered a couple of Play1's from the Sonos website last week. Amazon then had a sale for Play1 two days ago so I ordered it from Amazon thinking I'll return the previous ones. When the Amazon ones arrived I noticed that the boxing is different and when I read the year manufactured it was 2015. On the previous ones it's 2017. Is there a difference in the hardware capability wise? I tried looking online but didn't find anything. I'm worried it might not support future integrations. The hardware number of the 2015's one is 1.20.1.6-1.

Hi, I've got two Play 1s paired. I have just purchased a Playbar and tried to add the two existing Play 1s as surround speakers for the Playbar however this process only seems to work if the Play 1s are not already part of the system. How I can remove the Play 1s altogether so I can then add add them as surrounds for the Playbar? Any help would be much appreciated - thank you.

I just want to ask here first if everybody else has the same problem, before posting a bug to Logitech... Perhaps it's me doing something wrong... I've got three PLAY:5 (gen 2) in a group, one of them is connected to the network by wire and others two are added to this one as a group. So, as it is described everywhere - in this case the first one must act as a controller for a group. When I create the Harmony activity (using MyHarmony software on a Mac) it does not let me add more than one Sonos device, showing me the message that I only need to choose a group controller device for the Sonos activity and in this case the whole group volume will be controlled when Harmony changes the volume of that controller device. BUT. It's not true. After I create this activity with the PLAY:5 controller chosen in this activity, only this device's volume is changed when I adjust the volume using Harmony remote... The other two PLAY:5 devices' volume remains unchan

I have one room with four speakers (all Play:1s) and a sub. Currently it's set up as two "rooms", with the Play:1s acting as two stereo pairs. Is there any way to use the sub with all four speakers?

I have a Play 1 in the bedroom, so was pleased to see the White Indicator Light On/Off option that allows me to remove a distracting LED light from a dark bedroom environment. However, I've noticed that when the speaker is muted, a distracting green light comes on instead which kind of defeats the object of the Indictaor Light toggle option. Either you want this LED on, or you want it off, regardless of it's intended indication or colour. Am I missing something here?

I have a PlayBar, PlaySub and 2 Play:1’s. The ease of use and ease of setup is amazing. But I bought into this system with intentions on also using the Play:1’s on the back porch as a stereo pair. This COULD be simple but so far I’ve had to: 1. Remove Surround (Play:1’s) 2. Go through the software to then create new room 3. Re initialize the speakers 4. Setup new room 4. Create stereo pair 5. Remove sub (if I’m in the mood) then add to stereo pair 6. Blah blah I’m prob forgetting lots of pain in the rest steps. It ain’t simple! Then once I’ve got it set up in on the porch I’d have to go through all sorts of t stuff to set it up all over again and then do the silly walk around the room waving phone and freak my daughter out. For God sakes why can’t I pull the 2 Play 1’s to the porch and listen stereo and then reattach to 5.1. This is stupid and it pisses me off. Am I missing something or is this exactly what Son

I've a pair of Play 1s as part of a Playbase/sub home cinema set up and am planning to move them up to the bedroom and replace with the new Sonos1. The Play 1s will perch on the windowsill upstairs, so I'm wondering whether the new speakers will fit my existing Alphason stands. Hopefully they will!

Hi, I have just bought a pair of Play 1 and I am very happy with the Sonos system, the stereo feeling ... but I feel they are too small and/or don't deliver enough bass for my 540 ft² room. I can off course add a sub but I find it too expensive (and I have read that the Sub was a bit too "strong" with the Play 1). So I was wondering if I had not better return my 2 Play 1 (I still can do it for a couple of months) and replace them with a pair of Play 5. So to sum up : in a 540 ft² room and for stereo listening, what's better : a pair of Play 1 + sub or a pair of Play 5 alone ? Thanks for your help !

Is it possible to use ur sonos play1 speakers as computer speakers?

Hi guys, I'm hoping for some advice here on something. I currently have a Play:1 in my kitchen, a Play:3 in my hallway, and a Play:5 in my living room...love them all! My question is, as I have used the Play:5 with an optical toslink splitter to give me audio from my TV when watching movies, but also outstanding music quality which I am massively into...would I be able to purchase a second Play:5 to set up as a stereo pair for the TV audio set up? I really want the 5's as a stereo pair for music but don't want to lose the set up with my TV. I'm sure I read somewere that when setting the 5's up in stereo you lose the "line in" function, which is what the TV is set up to....i may be wrong. I hope that makes sense? Thanks Guys.

I've owned Sonos products for almost a year now and they are great. However, I still find myself wanting an in-wall keypad mounted solution like what I used to have. If we're having dinner, I don't have a smartphone or tablet nearby. It was easier with the old sytem of going to over to the wall, pressing a few buttons to get music in a room. Does Sonos have any plans or are there any 3rd party solutions for this?

I would personally love to see SONOS make a speaker in which is made to take with you, lets say outside or some place with no wifi or electricity. I would kill to get my hands on one of those.
