Merci. —————————-Hello,I own two Era 300 speakers and a Sub Gen 3.I was looking to create an immersive sound experience in a room by pairing my two speakers with the Sub. Apparently, this is only possible if the two speakers are set up as a stereo pair. That’s a shame for someone who just wants to listen to music in a large room with both speakers and a Sub, without having to use stereo mode.I assume I’m not the only one who has wanted—or still wants—to do this…Is there any workaround or solution for this? Thanks.
Hi Sonos team,I’d love to see an option to quickly switch a Sonos home theater system between Home Theater Mode and a dedicated Stereo Music Mode. For example, my setup is:Arc Ultra + 2 Era 300s + SubFor movies, I want the system to work normally, with the Arc Ultra handling the front soundstage and the Era 300s acting as surrounds. However, when listening to music, I would love the option to press a “Stereo Music Mode” button in the Sonos app that temporarily changes the system to:Era 300 Left + Era 300 Right + SubThis would allow the Era 300s to operate as a true stereo pair for music rather than as surround speakers.Ideally, Sonos would save both configurations—including Trueplay/EQ settings—so switching could be instant:Home Theater ModeArc Ultra + Era 300 surrounds + SubStereo Music ModeEra 300 L/R stereo pair + SubWhen the TV turns on, Sonos could even automatically return to Home Theater Mode, and when music is selected, users could choose Stereo Music Mode.Currently, achieving th
Hi,Just bringing up the ongoing lack of Google Assistant (and now Gemini) support on Sonos in Poland. It’s no longer just a minor issue—it’s a real dealbreaker. I don’t even need Polish language support; English would be completely fine.Because of this regional block, my smart home integration is basically useless. I love how Sonos sounds, but I’m seriously considering replacing my entire home audio architecture with a brand where voice assistants actually work. Are there any updates on this? What do you recommend? RegardsBart
Hello, new to the forums. Pardons if necessary. I hope this question finds the right mind :)I’m attempting to setup a root page in an app under development and I’d like to use Grid (or Grids?).I’ve managed to setup a list for the root page. It’s plain and simple. But I’ve tried setting up a root to mimic how Spotify and Tunein show their items. If possible, my guess is the data structured in soap to serve the root page is not correct. Can I be pointed in the right direction? Maybe even an example or two? Or some explanations how one might accomplish this? Thanks in advance! Enjoying a speaker I got and the work for an app.
I have a named group “Upstairs”. Hey Sonos, play August by Taylor Switch, just UpstairsIgnores the location, uses last device. What is the syntax to play to a named group?
I bought Sonos equipment because it was Google compatible.I have a daughter with muscular issues and giving voice commands is essential for various appliances around the home…Now what? You want me to purchase another set of Google products because guys can't sort our your differences? Struth!Get over it already! Give us the functionality that the products were sold with!
On my Plex Server, I have two Smart Collections (a.k.a Playlists), each having approximately 1500 tracks. These are easily browsable in the the Sonos app, but no tracks can be played from these Collections. The same tracks can be played if you navigate to the correct Album and play them from a shorter list. I guess the Sonos players are failing on the length of the queue, since all the tracks in the Collection are added to the queue…?Do the players have a limit to the number of tracks they can handle being added to the queue?
I have been offline for some considerable time however forums have stated huge challenges with the APP (S1/S2 ?) have these been resolved
Hello,When we first started setting up a service that we test locally, we used to get exceptions for not handling getLastUpdate. I put in a token regenerator so the token was always rolled. The threshold was 60 seconds. The point was for our development environments to always refresh data. But when moved to production this would obviously not be the case. For some reason now, the getLastUpdate is not being received. I checked my sandbox, value is still 60, did a refresh of the ics (refresh+send), but it looks like I am not receiving this call.Is there something that could have been done that causes sonos not to poll the sandbox service?
In the FWIW department, I wanted an easy way to spin up all my music to all speakers in my house as well as be able to quickly adjust volume, skip & pause. So if anyone is interested, here’s the initial version of my little app. MIT open source in C#. Suggestions welcome.HotSonos on GitHubBTW, I mapped my controls to the keypad which I never use - add/subtract for volume, multiply for pay and divide for restart.Moderator Edit: Link removed
Spotted last night on TV, wearing Ace for podcast, noise cancelling Andy Burpham?
Hey,just one quick wish: As it would be good for battery health - it would be nice if you can limit the maximum charging capacy of move/roam/play to 80% or 90% on demand by adding a switch under options. Thank you!
Hi again In general I like the user interface in the app and I also like the changes now in july. One thing with the GUI i don't like so much is the display og speaker groups in form in the "player". It's today as "buttons" on a single line on top of the speakers. Even though I initially made 8-10 groups I rarely use them as scrolling to get the wanted group isn't natural use for me. I would like the groups listed somehow - then will selecting a group be easier and more on intiuition. I don't have a clear solution how to improve it. It can be a list above/below speakers, it can be a tan for groups and a tab for speakers. Probably other better solutions - just look into how groups can be displayd best way 🙂Thank you in advance Amund
HiI would realy like a function to restart one/all speakers. I experience doing that help sometimes to avoid hang/unstability, but with 10 units it's not something i like to do manually… A function in app to restart selected or all units would be verry helpfull. Amund

Hello,I installed Google assistant on my Beam Gen 2. When Spotify is playing music, I can ask google assistant to move to another song. But if Spotify is not playing and I ask to start it or just ‘play music”, google assistant answers he is not able to do this. Can someone help?ThanksCoco
Hi all again,Reading some threads with conflicting information.Looking to buy beam 2 or arc ultra but I only require low bass (generally) and volume about 25%.Can people advise if arc ultra does not work optimally at this low volume and bass? Also would beam 2 shine instead and be the leader?Just looking for best experiences at low volume. Cheers
I've been a Sonos user for years (Play:1s, Beam, Move) and an Android developer on the side.I wanted to share a project I recently launched — Sonos Widget Plus, an Android home-screenwidget for controlling Sonos speakers.Sharing here in case it's useful to other Android users on this forum. Disclosure: I'm thedeveloper.**What it does:**- Play / pause / skip and volume control from your home screen- Switch which Sonos room the widget controls with a tap- Group multiple rooms into a playback group- Pin up to 5 Spotify playlists or Sonos favourites for one-tap playback- Fully customisable look (colours and transparency)- Two widget sizes (4x2 and 4x3)**How it connects to Sonos:**It uses the local UPnP protocol over Wi-Fi that Sonos speakers already expose. That means:- No Sonos account needed- No cloud service in the middle- Works whether the music comes from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Tidal, TuneIn, or line-in- Runs entirely on your local network**Requirements:**- Android 8.0 or later
Hi all. Listening to demos only. I have not had the chance to play with the EQ.Tempted to get the Ultra but when listening, all content sounds cinematic/theatrical. Will ve using for general tv (documentaries, soaps, news) gaming and movies. For general tv the cinematic feel can be overkill. I know you can play with the settings. But from user review can you get the bar to sound natural like normal tv quality (obviously better than tv) but normsl sounds if that makes sense? If so how close to normal can you get? Thanks
Google Assistant went through a rocky period over the last year while Google was attempting a rather confusing re-organization of how their automation routines work. They managed to break most existing automation routines, and at times it seemed like nothing was working properly. This not only affected Sonos speakers supporting Google Assistant, but Sonos saw more impact than native Google speakers. I pretty much gave up on them and moved most of my automations to Alexa. But Google finally seems to have gotten their act together, and automation routines are working again, including those which failed on Sonos previously. The earlier flaw that automation routines can’t speak any custom text on Sonos remains, but it’s worth trying Google automation routines again if it was the more recent failures that led to abandoning Google Assistant.
I’m posting this because the latest Sonos update has once again broken Alexa integration on my system, and the “fix” Sonos expects users to perform is completely unreasonable. After the update, Alexa triggers cause glitching, audio corruption, or failure to respond. Rebooting speakers and router does nothing. The only fix Sonos support suggests is:• Disable Sonos skill• Deregister all Alexa-enabled Sonos devices• Factory reset each speaker• Re-add them to the system• Re-enable the skill• Rebuild all settings manuallyThis means losing EQ, Trueplay, room profiles, and custom settings on devices like the Beam 2. Why should users have to rebuild their entire setup because an update corrupted cloud tokens? This is not the first time an update has caused major issues, and Sonos’ mandatory, non‑skippable update model makes it even more frustrating. There is no way to stay on a stable version, no rollback option, and no ability to defer updates until they’re proven safe.If Sonos can push updates
I have been waiting since the release of the new feature to disable SonosNet for the toggle to appear in my app. No luck so far, but when I check in play.sonos.com, in System Details, besides the S2 speakers, my old Boost is listed as well. Does anyone know how to remove this S1 device, so there is a possibility to finally get the option to disable SonosNet?
Has anyone come up with a way to mount a Sonos Arc to a tiled wall without damaging the tile? I do not want to drill through the tile. I would guess that the Arc is too heavy to use even the strongest mounting tape. I know I can use the hangers that mount to the back of the tv, but I am getting a “Frame TV” and it would be optimal to not have it look like the Sonos Arc is actually hanging from the Frame TV. Any suggestions?
If you haven't used Alexa+ and if you are a little anti AI, that probably doesn't seem important to you. However, it is a ridiculous improvement in functionality once you have it. Sonos speakers with Alexa integration feel antiquated now.
Any hope of a new Sonos 5 speaker for hifi listeners? It seems Sonos are concentrating more on surround speakers and portable.I would another high end hifi speaker. And they never replaced the Sonos play 3.Still have my stereo pair.Great sound.
