system not available on airplay

Hi,

One of my room system (master bedroom) is not showing up when I try to “cast to device” via airplay. However the room is available in the Sonos app but now showing up in the AirPlay interface. It was working before, and it suddenly missing.

Hi @KeithTArrows

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Your Master Bedroom is a Playbar and Amp combination. As the Playbar is in charge of that room, and it is not AirPlay compatible, Master Bedroom will not show in AirPlay connection options.

Perhaps you only had the Amp there before? Without being slaved as surrounds to the Playbar, an Amp is AirPlay compatible.

Perhaps see if a router reboot fixes the issue - it’s one of the things Apple suggests to do first and then a separate reboot of the iDevice and/or speaker (if necessary).

Is it your Play:1 that is not showing up?  That would be because it is not Airplay-compatible. (Although admittedly that would never have shown up.)
