I’m on the latest Plex Media Server and Plexamp versions, and I’m trying to Cast a music playlist from my PMS to various Sonos devices via Plexamp.
I know this can be done internally via the Plex plugin on the Sonos app. I tried that and it works flawlessly besides I really miss Loudness Leveling in PlexAmp.
So, I’m playing the playlist from Plexamp, streaming it to Sonos. All the connections are “working” – I see the Sonos devices in the Cast icon of Plexamp and the Plex metadata is reaching the Sonos UI in the form of song titles, but music isn’t playing. Instead it beachballs for about 10 secs when I start a playlist and then moves to the next song in the playlist. It does it over and over. If I stop casting to Sonos, Plexamp is fine again.
It’s got to be something between plexamp and Sonos.
Has anyone else dealt with this?
