Because that was the only way of connecting them as a pair.  Each speaker was playing the same song but the right speaker was behind the left speaker. Same song with a slight time delay.  I never had this issue with the S1 which I had for years. I was gifted the S2s when they first came out.  After the warranty was up, the right speaker died. Sonos replaced it.  I have had this issue since the speaker was replaced. Tech support is totally useless.

Sounds like you certainly had an odd issue, but not one I’ve ever experienced.

If you’re interested in resolving it, give this community more information about the setup. If you’re just interested in sharing your feelings, then you have. And either way, I’m sorry you’ve been struggling.

I see the latest app and system updates today have extensive changelogs of “Bug fixes and improved performance”.

Come on, Sonos. It must do something specific!

One thing it doesn’t do is allow you to save the queue as a new playlist. I’m starting to think it will never coming back. Ditto for reverting to playing the loaded queue after listening to a radio station or TV.

Probably time to move on from here as your Sonos get the next update that is rolling out now.

I share the view that these two features aren’t likely to return (though I’d be happy to be proven wrong). Still, it’s difficult not to question why, after 18 months, they’ve been either unable or unwilling to restore them. The continued silence only makes their lack of explanation more frustrating.
