It’s beyond a joke.

I have an arc, 2x ones and a 2nd gen sub which I use with the TV (77LGC4) plugged into the arc hdmi.

Basically none of the features in the app work:

- night mode ❌ I press the button and nothing happens

- speech enhancement ❌ I press the button and nothing happens

- EQ ❌ I change settings and no changes to the audio are made and when I go back to the EQ setting they are all reset back to ‘0’

- audio codec detector ❌ the app says I’m playing in stereo despite plex playing in Atmos and I can hear the surrounds playing individually. Sometimes it will pick it up but not consistently.

- Trueplay ❌ goes through the setup process but won’t stay turned on and no difference to audio

Digital audio output from the TV is set to ‘auto’, but I get the same results if I set it to PCM or passthrough.

What is going on?

 

 

 

 

 

What did Sonos Support say, when you called them directly to discuss it?


The new Sonos app is buggy. When those settings don’t seem to work or the EQ looks to be reset back to 0, keep restarting the app until everything works again.

Also be sure to set the TV to these settings:

HDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream

Digital Sound Output: Pass Through

eARC Support: On
