I am trying to connect my new UGREEN NAS to SONOS. After typing in the NAS path and folder the following message appears:The computer (path name)refused to let the SONOS product connect to it.How can I overcome this problem.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Rudolf
Chatgpt says they are gone with the ‘new’ app?? What? I can force them to appear when adding songs … but how on earth do I navigate to them… wonderful ux… gosh
I have had my Arc Ultra along with two Era 100 and a sub mini for about a month. This is by far the best sound I have ever had watching Movies, TV, etc... I'm incredibly satisfied... But.As title says, when I play PS5 games (only console I have), the in-game volume is way too quiet. The Sonos volume is adjusted to what I like (50/100) and volume is great in everything, TV, AppleTV, watching movies, etc... The volume is also right in the PS5 menu. Like, normal level across all devices. But in-game is way too quiet. My TV (LG C1) audio is set to HDMI eARC on passthrough. The PS5 is set to Sound Bar, Dolby Atmos (tried Linear PCM too). I have tried numerious combinations of these settings. No luck. When I'm in game, the Sonos app reports Dolby Atmos output. (Multichannel PCM 7.1 if I set the PS5 to Linear PCM)The in-game audio settings are not at play here. They're maxed out. This is happening with all games I could test.I've seen people say "Just raise the volume when in game" - but then
Hi, I have recently upgraded my entire Home Cinema setup and am getting results I don’t fully understand. When I play Dolby Atmos content (media in local network, often DDP with Atmos) I get different results shown in te Sonos app depending on where I play it:Plex app, client on Sony TV (Google TV) → Sonos app displays “Dolby Atmos” Plex app, client on AppleTV 4K (3. gen) → Sonos app displays “Multichannel PCM 5.1” My question:Is Sonos simply not ‘labelling’ the audio format correctly in the Sonos app when playing via AppleTV, or is the audio actually being ‘downgraded’ to 5.1 and the Atmos being lost?Just for context, my setup is Sonos Arc Ultra (connected to TV via HDMI, eARC) Sony Bravia 8 II Apple TV 4K (Plex server running on macmini, content stored on NAS)
For years i have used my Google Assistant automation routine “Hey Google, Local news” to play my local new radio station. I use a routine because every once in a while Google stops recognizing the station name and needs a different name to work. I just change the routine so I can keep on saying “Local news” as usual. But a new bug cropped up today. Google Assistant running on my Google Home speakers still plays the correct station from the Play Radio Station command in the routine, but Sonos instead tries to play a Spotify playlist instead of a radio station. Something is newly being lost in translation between Google and Sonos.I have fixed it for the moment by changing the routine command to say specifically to play the station from Tune In.
Can't delete my Spotify account from Sonos
Hello. A few months ago I bought a Sonos Arc Ultra, 2 Era 300s and two Sub 4s. It's working on an 85" TCL TV connected to an Apple TV 4K. The audio quality is spectacular. However, I'm having two problems:When I leave the system off for 10 minutes, when I turn it back on, the sound takes about 5 seconds to be heard. It's as if the amplifiers are turned off and only turn on after receiving a signal via HDMI.The other problem is the lack of volume under certain conditions. I've done extensive research online, and absolutely everything in the TV and Apple TV setup is in line with what's needed to get the best results. I've also tried TruePlay in various ways. Few content can be heard satisfactorily in terms of volume without using at least 70%.For comparison, I also have a Bose 600 + 5" subwoofer, and the volume of both systems is very similar, perhaps a little louder with the Bose.I've tried using the Apple TV output only, but the volume results are the same. An excellent example is the
why my OneSL cant connects to youtube music. Even after sign in and connects in everywahere
The volume slider in Sonos app constantly resets to a very low volume, appropriately 15%. The app is up to date and I have unplugged and plugged in an attempt to reboot system. Nothing system seems to affect this and it makes the entire system useless. Anyone else experiencing this? Any tips or suggestions? Thanks for anything you got.
Alexa show + stereo paired SONOS ones.I ask Alexa to play music, I have the SONOS skill enabled and music starts to play.I then tell Alexa to stop playing music and the music stopsAn hour or so later the music just starts again. This can happen at random times as well as throughout the night.1. I should not need to enable or disable an Alexa skill. This is a temp workaround, not a fix.2. There is no way in the SONOS app to clear a queue. This is a SONOS feature request.3. Random playing of music that has been paused in the SONOS app - This is a SONOS bug and caused by bad state handling. Need a feature as in 2 to make sure the queue can be cleared.4. When music starts at 3am at night, I need a capability to stop all music playing from any and all sources - This is a SONOS feature request.Yes I have tried enabling and disabling the skill, this is a temporary fix / workaround until I play music again, then the problem starts again. Source is Apple Play.SONOS is the controller, as A
I’ve just set up an IoT network on my home WiFi, to improve network security. I’ve successfully added my Play:1 to the IoT network. However my iPhone is on my main home WiFi network. Now the Sonos app on my phone can’t see nor control the Play:1. Has anyone resolved this issue?
I bought 4 era 100 and a gen 4 sub for a TV entertainment room thinking I could connect everything via Bluetooth and make a mock surround sound. However, you can only group 2 era 100s + a sub, so i have to make 2 sets. Bluetooth will only connect to 1 set at a time. I have successfully added the 2nd group after connecting to Bluetooth on my TV, but it rarely works. Looking for any advice to make this work preferably with the least path of resistance and cost. Thanks in advance.
I am noticing that the volume on my Sonos speaker sometimes changes on its own while music or TV audio is playing. There is no one else controlling it from the app, and I am not using voice assistants at the time. This happens randomly and can go either louder or quieter. I am using the Sonos app on my phone and the speaker is connected to my home Wi-Fi network.Has anyone experienced this before? Could this be related to TV remote signals, HDMI-ARC, or another app connected to Sonos?
Hi all,I was curious if anyone had come across this issue, or a similar one, with the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) - Audio generating audio feedback? In this particular instance it occurred on the Thor (2011) blu-ray during Loki hammer scene, where Loki attempts to pick up Thor’s hammer. This is the only instance I’ve had of this issue and I’m wondering if it’s possibly the blu-ray itself but before I pony up for a new one, I figured I’d ask here.
Can I listen music by wire using Sonos roam via adapter?
Dear all, I’ve recently purchased the second ERA 100 for better stereo imaging. If a single one blew me away, eventually, two will set it to stratosphere…Anyway, I am a vinyl afficionado and would like to listen to LPs. I also have a substantial CD collection that I don’t want to get rid of.I bought the Sonos line in adapter and it works perfectly for the CD. Concerning the Turntable, I have a an integrated amp (Advance Acoustics MAP 305 DA II) that has a line out. This means I am able to connect the Turntable and CD into the amp and feed the Sonos via the Line in adapter. So, instead of having to switch on the amp every time I want to listen to the above sources, I was thinking about a sort of an RCA hub to connect all the sources (phono pre-amp included) via the Sonos line in adapter to one of the 100s. I´ve seen some equipment online but I am quite unaware of any specific or reference quality model.Ultimately, I can buy another Sonos line in adapter and connect it to the other ERA 10
Hi, thought I would ask here first before contacting Sonos support. I own a variety of era 100s and 300s and a gem 2 beam in different rooms. I can play music directly fly through my tidal app and cast it to whatever speaker with no issue whatsoever. However when I try to play music through the Sonos app and select a speaker it just loads and eventually says it’s having trouble. Interestingly I can play a song straight away in the Sonos app of if I click the three dots and click play now (I think this is some kind of queue function). I tried removing and re authorising my tidal account through the Sonos app but to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated.thanks
I read a lot in this community about factory resets. Mostly negative responses to those who factory reset to attempt to resolve an issue. I totally agree. My plan is to purchase a friend’s ERA 300. Is there a procedure that does not require a factory reset to get the 300 to join my system?
I have a new ERA 300. It doesn’t pair with an older Move. Does the new Play(?)100 pair with the 300?
HelloI own a Beam Gen2; Sub-mini; and two Era300 speakers.Whilst I am reasonably technical I'm not a sound guy, I'm very much plug an play, and want an out of box no messing about experience. The Era300s are not ideally placed as stated on the Sonos website, they are placed in real life scenarios, due to my room they had to be wall mounted 1.4m high on the rear wall, directly opposite the tv and soundbar, yes the tv isn't at 42inches height but there are practical considerations, you can have everything. I follow the trueplay instruction video, yet I feel the system is not balanced, sounds good but missing that final touch do you not only have to walk around the seated area but alcoves and everywhere etc. I realise the sound bar atmos function is virtual, so with the era300s do I have to do do extra configuration, as I said Im not a sound tech engineer, just and end user. Besides things should not be complex right? This trueplay has been run a few times yet
Hi there, I’m so completely frustrated. For no apparent reason, my mini sub, and 2 x ONE SL’s have stopped working. All three speakers have a solid white light on but are now not showing in my “Living Room” system. The Arc Ultra is working. (I have an arc ultra, a mini sub and two ONE SL’s). I’ve tried a factory reset on the mini sub and it connected it to the wifi successfully and then at the final hurdle I get a message “Sub not found. Make sure your sub is powered on and connected to wifi” - which it is. During set up I got another saying “you may not see your speaker in your system and if so disconnect the power and reconnect power to finish set up” - I’ve tried that and NOTHING happens at which point my only option seemingly is to start the whole process again. I’m going around in circles. Cheers.
I am trying to connect my Audio Technica AT-LP60XBT turntable via bluetooth to my Sonos Roam2 (which works fine) but when I try to group it with my ARC sytem or my Play1 the bluetooth connection between the turntable and Roam2 seems to disconnect, even though the BT blue light still shows it is connection. Prior to grouping the Roam2 with either the ARC or Play1, the BT connection is working and the Roam2 is playing the audio from the turntable. Am I doing something wrong to get the turntable signal to come through the Roam2 to get to the ARC and Play1 (grouping all speakers together) or is this something that the Sonos 2 app cannot do?
I have a Ray with Apple TV, everything works ok except the audio choices. I have the optical connected and airplay works as well. The issue I have is I want the audio to default to the optical, the Apple TV seems to default to the Airplay which is the only way I can have volume control, when I switch back to the optical I loose volume control. The Sono’s app works fine and I can control the ray with other Sono’a in my home. In short is there a way to only have optical audio and control it with the Apple Remote.
Hi!I owned a Arc + 2xEra 300 + Sub gen 3 setup and it was overwhelming on cinematic performance and average on music - I was missing the middle lows in music performance (which are very present on the demo sounds of sonos, so it's likely a DSP thing not hardware). As Arc Ultra promised better bass due to the new sound force technology, I made the upgrade and... well... I am not satisfied at all. Everything sounds the exact same as before. I did trueplay tuning (tried all three variants), EQ setup etc etc.I get even a little better performance turning the sub off in the mid los but then the deep subs are missing of course.I don't get why my SONOS system is performing so bad on mid-lows but only on music... All is perfect on movies... If sonos would only give us more control over music EQ :( That being said, I was asked by @Corry P to create a diagnostic. I created even three and made some troubleshooting:First try: Old system - everything as usual. I made a diagnostic with it playing a
This has been happening for years. Different phones, desktop or mobile, different zone players, doesn't matter. Ever since one of the updates it has been a constant issue.Today for example I have a bunch of backup alarms set. The first one goes off and I go to access them to turn off the rest and the app shoes no alarms. I have many times set, and many that should be showing as off. … and same thing with setting the alarms… There should be ton of times already there to turn on but it shows none yet when trying to add one it says no more alarms can be set because I’m maxed, which is probably true. I expected to see a ton of complaints on the board when I searched where someone said do xyz so it doesnt happen but seems to be unique to something I am doing or my set up?
