Symptoms:• A Sonos device (in my case a Connect) says “not registered”• Next page says that this produce needs to be linked to your Sonos account• Immediately it returns with “Setup problem”. It suggests checking your Internet connection and making sure all products are plugged in and checking time settings on the mobile device. But none of these work. This one is hard to track down and there’s a thread that’s over 3 years old with 19,000 views. So I take it others are experiencing this issue: To make a long story short, here is what worked for me:1. Unplug all other Sonos’es in the house2. Connect the offending Sonos directly to the router via Ethernet3. Reboot the router for good measure4. Put your hands in the air and turn your body 3 times, chanting, “Sonos Gods help me please”5. Rerunning the setup should now work (but only if you truly believe)6. Now disconnect the Ethernet. In my case, it again complained that the device was not registered. But the link step then succeeded.
Guys sonos has some great products they are not user friendly. I've had 2 of these and I'm 0-2 i will report back favorably if this issue is resolved but I'm not holding my breath. Standby for a reddit link if we all keep experiencing this level of service
Spotify keeps losing connection to my sonos speaker. I have recently switched to amazon music on trial and I've had no issues with it. As soon as I reconnect it to spotify the same things starts happening. You haven't been able to give anybody a satisfactory answer as far as I see. Any solution? I've tried he usual router reboots yadayada
When I try and play music through my sonos one SL and my Apple TV (receiver w/ klipsch soundbar) the Apple TV sound is off. Any ideas for fix?
I have a very simple setup in our summer house. One Connect:Amp driving to speakers and an active sub. Line in is from TV.Suddenly the left channel on the line in has stopped working. I have tried switching channels, different cables and different audio sources. The left channel simply does not register any input (i.e. external source dissapears from controller when only left channel is connected).Anyone have any advise on how to troubleshoot further? - If the left channel has “died” will it show in a diagnostics report?
Hello, We have a multi-media room of 22' x 25' with cathedral ceilings (45 degree ceiling toping at 20'). We have a LG CX77 tv set. As for speakers, we have 2 back speakers inserted in the sloped ceiling (±11' high). We also have a Sonos Arc. We will be buying a Sonos Subwoofer and would like to complete the set will 2 more front speakers. What would you suggest for the 2 front speakers ?Do you have any other recommandation for our media system ? Thanks in advance.
I faced an error while playing the music on 20th of August, I thought that it’s only a glitch and can be solved by the owners. Then I play same on the 22th of the August as ***** but the issue is still same. Please, tell me about the possible solution. I have to hear a live stream here. Thanks *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
Seeing as how I must borrow an iPhone from someone, I was wondering if it is even worth calibrating a Beam. I don’t have a sub or surrounds and I am not planning on getting any. Looks like the app can set treble, bass and balance, so I am not sure how much of a change could actually be expected.
I have 2 x Sonos Subs (Gen 3) connected to my home theatre system in my Living Room - Arc + OneSL (L) + One SL(R)I have purchased 2 more OneSL for another room and want to separate one of the Subs from my existing system to pair with the new speakers. How do I remove just 1 of the Subs as the tab in Settings just nominates ‘Remove Subs’
Does anyone know about when you can finally add your sonos speaker to your google group? I see here questions from more than 2 years ago? will it eventually come? anyone an update?

This morning my wake up alarm failed to sound at all. I have it set to a station on IHeart Radio, have for years. Also my entire system is gen 1. I think it’s because I was listening to a YouTube playlist the previous day, I had paused play via my android and then forgot about it. When I awoke 30 minutes late (!), I grabbed my phone and saw that the playlist from yesterday was still displayed. I need my alarms to go off reliably, every time! Is there a setting or quick fix so this never happens again? Many thanks.
I bought a Beam for my parents' TV two years ago, because they were having trouble understanding dialog though their TV speakers. It has absolutely improved the situation. But they still wanted to get wireless headphones to improve their ability to hear some of the time. I bought them a 2-headset pair of Sennheiser HDR 120 headphones. What I did not verify ahead of time was that there was an analog audio out option on their TV. There is not. I looked into various splitters, but gave up after being overwhelmed by all the no-name options with poor descriptions of they could/could not do. Therefore the headphone boxes were never opened.I came to this forum today for something else, and saw someone mention an AmazonBasics HDMI audio extractor, which brought me back to my quest. Unfortunately I did not find a solution searching this forum. My #1 concern is that we do not lose CEC control of the Beam, because that's the only way to remote control it (without the Sonos app, at least) - it appe

Hi, Bought a brand new Sonos Move, and since using it, there is random static that occurs often throughout songs. I read that it may be interference from other products nearby, but this is not the case. I can take it near no other products and it still occurs.I’ve submitted diagnostics number: 2072736789Please help find what is wrong.
Hello Forum,I just fixed a play 5 which was having very low sound at max volume settings. Scanning through the forum I see many other posts but no fix. The issue is not the amp but the fact that the 24V for the amp stage is not triggered when you select "play". There is a mosfet (Q27621) switching the 24V power to the amp stage. This mosfet could be dead or, like in my case, the signal feeding the gate of this mosfet not getting applied. There is a small circuitry near the mosfet, tracing this back leads to the large CPU board connector. Just before reaching the connector there is a 10kOhm resistor (R27835) which was dead in my case. I replaced it by an "old fashion" one which can take some more power. I hope this will help some folks to give their Play 5 a 2nd life. Good luck!
Sonos devices are becoming increasingly popular in Russia. Sellers widely advertise the ability to manage Google Assistant as a competitive advantage. However, they do not say that Google Assistant is not available in Russia. I found out about this only after the purchase and this may be not only a reason for a refund, but also a lawsuit. There is no point in selling devices with a voice assistant in Russia, since it is not supported. Customers pay money for voice control but can't use it
Hi. My playbase disconnects from my system constantly. I have rebooted, done numerous factory resets and readded it only to have it disconnect. Yes the lights flash the correct colors on reset. I have tried wireless and wired. I have rebooted my router numerous times including shutting off the system. The admin panel on my Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro does not indicate an IP conflict. I have 3 play 5’s in various places, a playbase, subwoofer and two play 1’s on a TV in a different room, a connect in my office and a powered connect driving an outdoor systems. My home network is very high-end with3 commercial Ubiquiti AP’s and 2 home AP’s to extend to patios. Sometimes it is easy to reconnect and sometimes very hard. I updated the firmware recently one of the times it reconnected. I am exasperated. Please help.
For years the Sonos app does not play all of my songs in iTunes. It plays for a while and then starts skipping songs saying unable to play. I can go back to those songs and manually force it to play them so it’s not a corrupt file. I communicated with Sonos and have tried everything, rebooting everything and after playing for a while it still happens. Occasionally, like today it will stop altogether and just continue to skip all songs until I shut down the app and open it back up again. A very disappointing app that does not really work with iTunes.
Hello,I have a sonos system in my house.Recently I bought the Sonos Roam and it just stoped working. The orange light starts blinking (while it’s not connected to the power source) and when I connect the USB port, it became “fixed orange”. There’s nothing that I can do change this status. I just can’t reboot or make anything else because it’s like it “freezed”. I search on support page and there wasn’t any value information regarding this issue. I already made the devolution of the first Roam I bought, and now I have the same problem, 3 days after! What can I do more? does this happened to anyone else? Any ideas? Please help me. Thank you Luis Sousa
Hi, I have some Sonos Play:1. One in the kitchen and another (two in stereo mode) in the living room. When I play or pause in kitchen, the living room starts playing or pause too, but they aren’t grouped. In this case each room with its own music using Spotify. The opposite does not happen, the living room players do not interfere in kitchen player. It seems a bug. How can I fix this?
I’ve read postings in this forum about the same issue that I am having and wondering if there is a fix or workaround. That is, a large imported playlist (from my music library) only appears to contain a fraction of the songs in the original playlist. For example, an 8900 song playlist is imported but when added to the queue (or replacing the queue) only loads only 1200 or so songs into the queue.I’ve read that this issue may be due to a timing limitation of the playlist import process.Aside from a workaround like creating multiple shorter playlists from the original and importing those, are there other suggested workarounds? I’ve taken to occasionally random sorting of the original playlist then re-importing it so that i get a different grouping..Or maybe there’s a fix? If the issue is related to a playlist-import-time limit, maybe there is a way to increase that time limit? I do not think i can speed up the connection to the music library.Thank youdata: i use only a sonos connect
Hi, i would like to use the Google Assistant broadcast voice messages with voice match in my Google Home family. The Google Home family has Sonos speakers and Google Home Minis.I want to use the Broadcast voice messages with these Sonos speakers. And i want to active voice match for every family member. The problem is, that my Sonos Account is set up in the Google Home Family and the speakers are only belongs to my Google Account. The Sonos speakers are not shared to the other family members. So, if you start a broadcast voice messages from the Google Home mini the message is only played on a other Google Home Speaker and not on a Sonos speaker, because the Google Home minis are shared in the family but the Sonos speaker not. There is a setting in the Google Assistant App. There you can see that all speakers appear in my Google Account. The other family members only see the Google Home Minis. The Google Home Minis are shared in the family, but the Sonos speakers are not.The question is,
Apologies if this is a dumb question but I have four HDMI devices and my TV has only 4 HDMI ports. If I use the eARC HDMI port on my TV for the Sonos Arc I’m stuck with only 3 HDMI ports for my devices, correct? Are there any good solutions for this other than an HDMI switch?
