Troubleshoot, tune and get the most out of your system

Screen turns white, just like many users experience. On chat support I was told that it's Apple's fault and Sonos can't solve it. Is that true? You are still selling Beam stating that it works with Apple Music, that's a bold lie.
I have Sonos controller app S1 (11.2.13) on Big Sur (11.6.1) which does not allow me to add my music library to my Sonos system (two “old” play 1s).Before I installed Big Sur (for which I completely reset my Mac), I was connecting fine.I’ve set Security and Privacy as below:When I try to set up Music, I get the notification that my library is being added, and that it will take some time, but after the wheel has stopped spinning it is not thereWhat else do I need to do?Note that my Sonos system is recognising and playing Spotify, etc
Hi, my newly installed Symfonisk Bookshelf looses connection over night, every night. I always have to re-do the connection to get it in the app again. Have tried both Sonos apps (S1+S2) on ios and its the same problem.Once ive reconnected it it wont work with google home, it cannot connect to it and I cannot plays music on it through google home or google nest. Whats wrong? Thankful for any help!
I’m looking to move to a rear projection situation and I’d like to pick some brains before jumping in. I currently use a Sonos Amp to power floor speakers and as an interface for a turntable. I’d ideally like to move these to the rear and use these floor speakers as the surround satellites which would bring the Amp close to the projector with a Sub and Arc up front. Does this situation make sense? Do I need to hardwire the Arc to the projector for full atmos and the rest of the surround drives from that or can the Amp push this out?
I see this has happened numerous times in the past. TIDAL works on it’s own app, not through SONOS, just updated the app, TIDAL says it should work and is a valid service. SONOS fails to play TIDAL….
Hello,I have bought Sonos Amp and at the monent I want to use it along with Sonos One and Sonos One Sl speakers as a stereo setup/group.looks line I can only setup these speskers as surrounds which is not what I need.can anyone let me know if this possible and if possible what I am doing wrong.much appreciated! Tom
Hi everyone,I am thinking the different options for setting up a Sonos multiroom set. I have an old HiFi and I would like to find out if and how I could make use of and connect my old radio tuner (Technics ST-CH505) and speakers (Technics SB-CH515A) to a Sonos system. Can you please help me?Thanks!
I'm trying to build a Karaoke system using the following components: Samsung Q70R TV - HDMI (IN), Optical (OUT), HDMI (ARC), Screen Mirroring Sonos Arc & surround setup - Sonos Arc is connected to the Samsung TV via HDMI ARC Yamaha MG06X mixer with RCA Audio Output (Red and white cables) - connected to two professional quality wired microphones Is there any way to get the Analog Audio (Red and White RCA cables) from the mixer into the Samsung Q70R or the Sonos Arc? The TV does not have any input other than HDMI, the traditional analog inputs are missing. This seems to be typical of the new Smart TVs. One option may be to use an Analog Audio (RCA) to HDMI converter. I do not know which one to use.Second problem to solve is how to get and mix the karaoke music and lyrics - these are usually available via an app on the phone or TVHelp much appreciated. Looks like I am not thinking in the right direction here.
Hey everyoneIs there anyone else here having issues with Roam? I do, and hasn’t stopped since I bought it. It lasts no more than a couple of days connected to WiFi and then I need to reconfigure it again. Battery doesn’t lasts as much as Sonos claims. Microphone can’t be turned on (I guess is because Roam gets disconnected from network).I have other three Sonos products which have no issues, but this little guy has really disappointed me. And yesterday I decided to call Customer Supports which really wasn’t helpful at all claiming that I have a network issue which it is not. I have my home with a lot of smart devices and none has a single problem with network.I do really want to take it back because it has really a waste of money. Any thoughts?
Standard configuration. One with Alexa and SL coupled. Any time I try to play music with alexa the answare is the same, device is offline. I can play any music with sonos app.Anyone can help me ?Thanks
Initially there was the software issue on BT Halo, re: 5ghz/2.4ghz connection. Now, and worse recently, connecting to it using Airplay 2 (from 3 iPads, an iMac M1 and 2x iPhones) is a nightmare! Even the Sonos S2 app takes ages to find it, tries to ‘fix it’ and stumbles along. Even when it’s next to the router. I originally planned to buy two for stereo (the internet evidently says not yet on this one) & hoped that Sonos would improve it’s functionality with Beam to provide surround option like its other products. All software is up to date. But at the moment I can only successfully use it at our house in Spain as a patio speaker! And a very expensive one.
I bought my sonos roam 3 weeks ago and have struggled with it left right and centre. As far as I can tell there are 4 main problems The first problem I found was that the audio would spontaneously drop out while listening to video and sometimes any audio that isn't played through the sonos app. The second problem is that the bluetooth just doesn't work (excluding 2 days of it functioning last week) The third is that the sometimes the buttons just don’t do what they say they should do in the manual. Sometimes the power button doesn't work, the bluetooth never connects, the volume buttons sometimes don’t and I am yet to be able to use the smart assistant. The final problem I have found is that the device can't pair with other SONOS speakers, of which I own 8. I also think that sonos needed to be clearer that this speaker would force customers to upgrade to the Sonos S2 app as I basically can't use my Play 5’s anymore because they are incompatible with the S2 app. After being a long te
S2 with almost 30 Sonos products. No Booms or Moves.Comcast Xfinity with supposedly 1 gig.Three floors, 5,000 sf. Router on center floor is connected to a Boost.Other two floors each have a Boost connected to Ethernet ports. No speakers are wired. The system struggles whenever a few speakers are assembled and more are attempted to be added. The Sonos message is that “WiFi signal is unstable”I will spend whatever might be required to fix this.Comcast suggests Netgear extenders or TP Link extenders.A prior responder suggested getting fixed IP addresses, but I am unsure how to do that.are there any good recommendations? Should I ask BestBuy to send a tech?Would the concept of the Netgear or TPLink extenders make sense with the system setup that I described?
I have a dead Five under warranty. I rang Support and they confirmed it was dead. My other Five, which formed a stereo pair is working fine. So, they took my details and said they would get back to me.It’s been a week and I’ve not heard anything from Sonos, either telephone or email. Is this usual? Do they contact you again to confirm things or is there a delay whilst they prepare a return?
In the last week or two the audio on my TV streaming APPS - Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video has become distorted. In the beginning the audio would return to normal after a few minutes but now it stays distorted. I have tried rebooting modem and TV with negative results. The audio on Live TV, Youtube, DVD player and streaming from Mac Pro via HDMI is fine. I have been using WIFI for many years but recently found streamed music from Spotify or my Music Library would drop out so I hard wired to modem with ethernet cable from playbar which fixed that problem. This is the only change I’ve done. I tried going back to WIFI but still audio was distorted. The equipment I’m using are as followsLG OLED65C8PLA - 2018Sonos playbar (2015) - optical to TVSonos 2 x Play:3 (2015)Sonos Sub (2018)Really hope someone can help me solve this problem. I’ve read many topics similar to my issue but can’t find an answer, also some of the lingo goes over my head. Cheers Julie
I have many Sonos speakers throughout my house and use a playbeam grouped for a radio alarm. Until the last update, it was working perfectly for that alarm (yes, have a include grouped rooms switch set toon for that alarm and all speakers are actually grouped). Since the update to the most recent firmware, the alarm will ungroup the speakers when turning on, making the radio play on the one speaker only.I have unset/set that group function, as well as deleted the alarm and configured again, to no avail. I have a second alarm set on a playbar, also with include grouped rooms switched on, and that continued to work after the update. Anyone else with this issue?
I would like to request a wizard type setup where one is promoted for which room the alarm is applicable and what the volume should. Or the default setting for these alarm properties should be configurable. as the default volume of 25% is way too loud, and having to modify each time I set a new alarm is stupid in my opinion.
Connect volume too low? try using opticalI was getting very faint sound from my Sonos CONNECT into my Denon AVR-X2000 using an analog connection (Connect Analog out to Receiver CD in). Tried adjusting the receiver’s input volume and the Connect’s output volume as suggested in some threads here but with no luck. Likewise the digital coax didn’t work. Finally tried using the optical connection and it works great. This works for me because I’m using the ARC connection from TV to receiver so i don’t need it for anything else.
No longer noticing differences with speech enhancement being on or off. Prior to the recent update, it worked great, so no idea if related. Used to be super obvious when speech enhancement was on vs off. Night mode thankfully still works. Swapped out the sound bar with a new one and same issue. Also swapped out Beam gen 2 is hooked up to Sony A80J do the HDMI3 eArc port with IKEA speakers in the rear.Source material comes from Apple TV 4K plugged into HDMI 4.
It would appear that under DSM 7.0beta Sonos Libraries will no longer work, in essence even with SMB 1 enabled due to one of the following: https://community.synology.com/enu/forum/20/post/139213?reply=440018orhttps://community.synology.com/enu/forum/20/post/139200?page=1&reply=440124
I’m playing the expanded version of Achtung Baby from Qobuz, but the cd 2&4 parts of the playlist are grayed out. Why is this?
Hi, When I max up the volume Bass on my sonos roam feels like its from a phone speaker. Is it normal or some problem with my unit ? At mid/low volume Bass is good for speaker of this size, the problem is only at max volume.TIA
Today and yesterday have had lots of drop-outs whilst listening to music on My Library. My system components as per my signature. Music is stored on a NAS wired to the router. Basically music kept stopping and then skipping forward. Finally had enough so turned all Sonos units off and re-started the router and then the Sonos units nominally nearest first. But that hasn’t solved the problem. The diagnostic after that latest failure is 2013370740This is the matrix. The room I’m “working” in is “Study” but I also had drop-outs in the “Dining Room”. To my untrained eye it looks horrible! I did have an issue with my work computer and wireless connecting to the internet which was likely due to wireless interference. That was resolved by getting a couple of Powerline adapters. They won’t have got rid of the interference of course but it is only the last few days been having horrible drop-outsIt certainly seems more prevalent streaming my music library than TuneIn or Sonos RadioAll and any advi
Hello, I’ve recently updated my sonos port, probably should not have. I can longer update my music library. I’ve verified the files are there, shared, and accessible and can play them with a pc using winamp. I have the music stored on an external usb drive mounted on the router. I’m very frustrated, followed the threads with similar problems with no success. I’m hoping I can run a diagnostic report and someone can help me out! Thanks!
I have an Arc, 2 subs (Gen3) and 2 ones (Gen 2) w/ a Sony 65” A80J OLED. Should everything be on 2.4ghz or 5ghz?
