Sometimes when the Move is in a group and I press play, every speaker starts except the Move. It says that it is playing music and I can change volume and stop all speakers by pressing pause on the Move. If I remove the Move from the group and starts the music from the Move and adds all the speakers, everything works fine. I doubt it us the Wifi since it works when the Move is alone and the other added after. How to fix this so that the Move can be added to a group without be the "first" speaker of the group?
I have noticed that the Beam 2 seems to produce better surround effects. I can actually hear sounds coming from the rear, whereas similar sounds with the Ultra are off the the side of my position. Has anyone noticed the same thing? I’m seriously thinking of returning the Ultra and getting another Beam 2.
Product InfoBeam 2EQ: Bass +8, Treble +4Loudness: On | Speech: OnTrueplay: No (don’t have Iphone) Connected via eARC → Samsung The Frame 2025 TV using default audio settings (Dolby/Atmos when available)DescriptionEver since I got the Beam 2 about 1.5 years ago I have felt that there is something “off” with the sound/dynamic range and it’s not really consistent. The dialog in news and sometimes movies often feel thin, flat and “sharp/harsh” with no warmth or natural bass/resonance. So first I thought maybe it was an issue with the bass radiators but oh no, in movies there is insane rumble during action scenes/explosions for example. Almost like there is a sub in the room. So no complaints there. But somehow the bass is just not there in dialogs/human voices. When I press my ear to the soundbar I can hear that the left midwoofer next to the center tweeter being a bit louder and more open compared to the right one which is a bit more closed but with more bass. Not sure which one is corre
This morning my book of experiences with Sonos opened a new chapter. After I had to learn painfully that Sonos does not offer any repairservice centrally, I visited a licensed Sonos Dealer in the City of Braunschweig Germany. Even there, in a dealership with top noche service for repairs, the skilled dealers technicians refused to even accept to try to repair the Sonos speaker. I am just wondering how Sonos managed to maintain their reputation with such a customer orientation. My question is if anyone has an idea if the is some place where a only 4 year old speaker could tbe a least inspected for a possible repair solution. Thanks
Hi there, I'm having issues with TuneIn lately. Says "Couldn't Play Content. Try Again." I also can't remove/re-add Tunein, when I Remove Accounts it says "Accounts not removed. Something went wrong when removing your accounts". So I'm stuck really. Tried rebooting router, unplugging speakers, clearing cache of the app, uninstalling app, etc. Any help would be appreciated.
Followed the steps to installing my music library in Sonos. The library is now visible in the controller app but is empty of content.Suggestions?
Suddenly the SONOS S2 app on MAC OS Sequoia 15.7.3 when it starts it spends 5 - 6 seconds searching for the sonos network. Then announces my Firewall settings need changing. Funny as the firewall is turned off on this particular laptop. Anyway it eventually gets past this and then announces the app needs an update. Hit the search for updates button, funny as there are no updates. What the hell is going on with this piece of junk? Maybe unrelated but when playing across multiple devices, some devices go quiet for upto a minute then continues. No indication of issues and at least one device continues playing without issue.
HiSince 2013 I have been a happy Sonos user - until the amateurish app update May 2024. Luckily I had automatic AppStore and Sonos system updates switched off by then and have managed to stay on the S2 app (gold), which for me worked perfectly. However, last week, in my naivety I took the plunge and upgraded my app + system to latest versions. Now indexing my local library (living on a Synology NAS) takes forever - if it works at all. If I use the Windows app (gold), it works like a charm - as fast as the older S2 (gold) app used to.Since 2013 I never had an issue indexing my local library, but that seems to have been destroyed by the new app/system updates.Does anybody experince the same when local library indexing, and can anybody explain why this is happening?I could downgrade to S1 as all my speakers are S1 compatible - but then I’d have to remain from buying new Sonos units as they will not be compatible with S1, to avoid 2 systems.
I have four Play 3 units bought some years ago. I have one attached to my ADSL gateway and it works OK as do the other three.I now want to use one in my workshop, I have a new, different 5G internet there from TMobile that works fine. What must I do to be able to use one of the Play 3 devices in my workshop and my other WiFi network? Is it true that one MUST connect it to the gateway via ethernet in order to do this? I use the Windows desktop app to control Sonos.
Hi there,New Play, added SVC and Alexa. Worked fine at first, then the speaker would stop responding to “Hey Sonos” or “Alexa.”I tried removing Alexa and Sonos voice control and re-adding and that didn’t work. Restarting the Play worked before to get them to respond, but restarting the speaker doesn’t seem to work anymore either.Done everything short of a factory reset because that’s always a headache.any ideas?
I’m moving to a new house and trying to figure out the best placement for my Era 300 speakers in the living room. I have an arc ultra, 2 era 300s, and a gen 4 sub. I attached a drawing of the current setup. My options for the Era 300s is on a console table that will go behind the couch, but the issue is cord management since there is not an outlet super close to the center of the room. It would be doable, but not ideal. The second is mount them by the light behind the couch on the vaulted ceiling that you can see in the picture. There’s an electrical plate there you can’t see in the picture and there’s one mirrored on the other side of the room that you can’t see. I’ve read that once you get a certain distance from the ceiling you’ll need to invert the speaker. The third option is the add 2 outlet by each vents seen in the picture and mount them there. Let me know what you think and if you need more info or pictures.
TRUEPLAY - SONOS NEEDS TO KEEP UP & CONVERSE WITH APPLE INC. SO THEY CAN BE ON THE SAME PAGE WHEN THERE IS A NEW UPDATE!!! CURRENTLY APPLE IS RUNNING ON iOS 27!!!! SONOS ~ LET’S GET IT TOGETHER!!! SINCERELY, Derek A Ziglar aka DAZaka DJ DEREK
Since July 2nd I cannot listen to any YLE stations in My Tuner radio. I can, however, listen to commercial radio stations and for instance Swedish Radio stations. If I choose one of the YLE stations, the system starts to search , but after a while it says the connection to My Tuner radio was cut off.Wonder , if YLE again made some technical changes? ( Have written to YLE, but not received any reply yet).
I’m moving to a new house and trying to figure out the best placement for my Era 300 speakers in the living room. I have an arc ultra, 2 era 300s, and a gen 4 sub. The TV will be mounted above the mantle and the sound bar would sit on that. The room will have couch and large rug. I’ve gone through the various placement options through other reddits/sonos community and it seems like the best choice was mount the 300s under the vents on the wall above the kitchen (behind that wall is the attic so there’s easy access). Then possibly inverting those 300s.I realize that vaulted ceiling means you’re not going to get perfect theater quality and that’s okay. I just want the sound to make sense is at all possible and what I mean is that I don’t want a sound that’s supposed to be behind me to be heard from the ceiling. Any suggestions on the best placement is also welcomed.***Note: I found out that there are speaker wires already ran behind plates that are ran to all 4 corners. You can’t really
This has happened to me a couple times, and manually recreating the playlists is quite a chore. Here is a github repo that explains why this happens, and has code to create a new working playlist from the old broken one.Moderator edit: Link removed. Search Github for “sonos-playlist-rebuild”
I have a Play:5 that has been having problems for a few years now. It occasionally cuts out for 5-10 seconds before resuming. It happens somewhat randomly, but more often when starting a new session and when adjusting volume. I have been talking with Sonos Support, but they couldn’t solve it.I have tried several different network solutions:Placing the speaker closer to and further from the router Having something or nothing in between the router and the speaker Ethernet 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz Changing the WiFi channel to 1, 6 and 11 Different routers Living two different places (meaning different amounts/types of outside interference)Ethernet has helped, but the cutouts still happen and it ruins my listening experience. Especially when I have guests over. It happens both with Spotify and other services and both through Spotify Connect and the Sonos App. Firmware is updated. I have recently acquired a managed switch, so I have tried mirroring the port and capturing packets from and to the sp
Hello, I have passive speakers that I use to listen to stereo music and for television. I want to integrate them completely into my Sonos ecosystem. (voice control using my Sonos Era 100 for switching on, off, volume adjustment...) I want to buy an amplifier connected to a Sonos Port that my system appears in the sonos application as a real Sonos speaker. I read in the instructions that it was possible to use the Sonos Port to adjust the volume of the amplifier using the "pass-Trough" function. I see on many forums that many people have problems with this function. Do you have a list of amplifiers compatible with the "pass-Trough" function of the Sonos port? Thanks
Seem to be having odd problems with streaming radio stations to a Beam. Started off with problems on a Google Mini speaker. Used it to leave Boom Radio or Greatest Hits for the dogs wile out. Stream started dropping out and not restarting. Tried it on the Beam using Alexa voice control. Boom Radio exactly the same, Greatest Hits still drops but reconnects and carries on. Suspected WiFi issues so hardwired Beam to router. Exactly the same. Tried streaming from Amazon Music as a test. Perfect, in terms of drop outs any way. Streaming video to LG TV or Sky Q box through same switch is fine.broadband is Gigaclear FTTP 500Mbps down.any ideas? Appears to be certain sources rather than a device or network issue, but might well be wrong.
I am not able to connect sub mini to arc . It sees sub mini but says I need to assign to room then says it's not connected. I've reboot everything, removed all devices and changed channels. Please advise, thanks
Hi community,Today I'm mad about why Sonos does not supports Wi-Fi extensors, not by this, I already know the reasons. But after making another network for only Sonos devices with wifi 4 (not 5, 6 and not even 7) after randomly it disconnected and tried several times (more than 10 times) to re-connect to this optimal network for Sonos and got nothing after 2 hours. I only now access to my devices that are wired because I try to connect them wirelessly and it does not appear, I re-established all my devices, reboot all my wifi, and my phone and nothing happened, I try and try, I uninstalled the app and installed it again and nothing, even it got worse, now the app can't find my devices (before was only the internet problem).I think it could be an app problem, my S23 got updated today but then I tried in another S23 without update and it is the same, in my PC (Win11, up to date) and nothing. I don’t know what to do, I've tried everything, usually I don't need help to do things, even diffi
I have a Sonos group setup with an arc soundbar, sub and 2 Sonos 3 speakers. The group is connected to my network and the soundbar is physically connected to my Sony 98” TV. I’m trying to disconnect the group from my TV and have just the soundbar connected to it. I have been unable to do that using the app. Any suggestions?

Merci pour vos réponses Moderator Edit - Translation by Google:Hello,I have a Sonos Move speaker. The other day, I picked up my phone to disconnect it, but the speaker emitted several system sounds (likely from my phone); even though the process of turning it off via the phone is usually quick, the speaker made at least 8 or 10 of these system noises. My phone's ringer was on, and the keypad sounds were likely enabled. Also, I don't think I heard the little chime the spe
