I’m still of the opinion that the new architecture of the Sonos products is doomed. If it was solid a lot more of the issues people are experiencing would be fixed by now or would not have occurred in the first place. My gut tells me that the only reason that they can’t roll back the app is because there is now a new device in the mix that relies on it: the headphones.Anyway, my opinion is that Sonos could simplify their architecture and speed up product development if they introduced a new product to manage the in-home Sonos network. I’m not talking about a Sonos-net wifi here a-la Boost. What I mean is a central HUB to manage communication with the cloud and to monitor and report on the in-home speaker configuration.Think of the simplification that this would provide for the engineers. Think of the reduction in inter-speaker chat that would result in not having the speakers to keep track among themselves about what is playing where. They could just focus on streaming the music.
I can’t get Alexa to play my playlists in my Apple Music library on my Sonos devices.
Sonos was working fine. Suddenly stops working after about 30 seconds of play
I am done with the new Sonos app. It even removed my playlist which I took years to build!! I want to sell my Sonos speakers and playbar and move on. They need to fire the head who released this glitchy and useless update. Can I get the lower level update of the app?? Please help!*Moderator Note: Modified subject in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
Today's chat with Sonos:Thank you for your patience! I want to let you know that I have checked and this is a known issue. We are investigating this issue and working on a fix, but there is no time estimate for this fix at this time. In the meantime, if you still want to play Apple Music, you can do so via AirPlay or Bluetooth.Does anyone have a similar problem with Apple Music?
I've tried a few times to mount my expensive Sonos wall mounts for the Era 100 speakers unsuccessfully. The first time, using the anchors Sonos provides in the kit, the weight was too much for the wall and it started pulling out immediately, would not sit flush with the wall, so I took them down. I patched the holes and moved on to another attempt. I tried a few other anchors since, but they all have issues (toggle bolt holes are too large and you can still see part of the hole when the wall mount base is installed, screws are not flush and therefore prevent the wall mount cover from sliding onto the base, etc.)Anyone have any suggestions other than drilling directly into wall studs (no studs located where I'm trying to put these speakers) or returning the mounts (too late to get a refund and no longer have the boxes or the original hardware that's now fallen behind the drywall)?Currently I'm most likely looking at taking the loss and buying new cheaper mounts that do not have the sam
My Sonos is back to normal. CAVEAT: I always stream vvia music services not a local library/playlist. What'd I do? 1. In Sonos App settings, DELETE CACHE, DELETE DATA (do BOTH). 2. DELETE ALL Sonos APPS (old S1 Sonos + the new app). 3. DEREGISTER ALL SPEAKERS from all music services that required it (i.e., Amazon). 4. DISABLE SONOS SKILL on Amazon. 5. REINSTALL SONOS APP (be sure to DISABLE AUTO-UPDATE after this fiasco) 6. RE-enable SONOS SKILL. 6. Add speakers and all music services anew.
Can I connect a Sonos Ace to a Bluetooth Dac, like the iFi Zen Blue 3? If so, does it need to be a wired connection or can it be a bluetooth connection? Is there any real benefit?
Hi All, Has there been any indication of when album art on Android will be restored for local library files? Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere - complaints about the new app are so numerous it has become difficult to find reliable, up to date information. Thanks.
I was using the BBC Sounds from within the Sonos app S2 to play live BBC radio on my Beam but the sound has started cutting out on a regular basis which is very irritating. As I have apple devices I have switched to using bbc sounds app on my device and airplay to the Beam. It doesn’t cut out and in my view the sound quality is better.Having spent a considerable amount of time doing checks on my network it appears that it is actually the Sonos App that is the issue. Having also lost my music library on the recent Sonos app upgrade and not had a chance to add it back in - I do wonder what the point of the Sonos App is? Beyond doing initial configuration I can do everything I need without it to a more stable and better quality. Very disappointing from Sonos.
Why will my music not play continuously When a track ends I have to pick another song no shuffle feature either Apple Music

Cette mise à jour à supprimé tout l'intérêt d'utiliser des appareils Sonos ! Moderator Edit: Google Translate- Since the update I no longer have access to my music library (NAS) and its settings are no longer available on the application.Support cannot be reached and assistance indicates a procedure that is no longer effective! How to do ? Before today, I had given up on using the app after the app update, but the speakers generally worked with AirPlay. So while I couldn’t really do several rooms at the same time, I had a solution that kinda worked. Today first Airplay stopped working (played for some seconds then stopped, then “can’t connect” despite one of the devices literally being hardwired on the LAN) - then two speakers disappeared from the system, again. After cursing at them, I figured a factory reset and re-add would work. Except it doesnt. You folks hate your customers so much that you won’t roll back the app to a state where it used to work (pre May). I guess you think your headphone customers are more important.Well joke’s on you. After 15 years as a loyal customer and umpteen recommendations, I quit. I will be replacing my over $5000 in Sonos gear with BlueSound and Homepods (since the kids just want alarms and voice control). Goodbye. Every single one of my many audiophile friends will hear of my experience
Hello, For the amount of money I have spent on Sonos, they have to pivot to the original companies prurpose. I could have purchased a Hi-Fi amp, and beautifully crafted speakers for the same cost. SONOSs' app update has failed and left owners with brick devices and in the lurch once again. The google disconect with GEN 1 speakers and app update making speakers useless, and within 2 years of purchase is also unforgivable. l keep my suround (Play Bar, Sub, 2x Play One, and a Play 3. I sold a couple of Play 5s. I am NOT going to buy any new product, when every update makes devices useless. You can spend $5,000 much better on high quality wired equipment that you control. For this amount of money you can get some serious hardware and never have to deal with an app, or a poor update ever. The constant cancellation of threads and conversations in this community space is also telling. Stop deleting the threads & stopping those who are having conversations about the value of your product &
I was looking for instructions as to how to use my Sonos speaks as my Nest Doorbell chime but didn’t find anything that explained how to do it. After various searches, I found bits and pieces of how to get my Nest Doorbell to announce over my Sonos system. The important point is that it can be done and it does work. There are a number of steps and I’m not sure which are required, but here’s what I did: From Google Home app, add Sonos to Services. Go to Settings screen. Select “works with Google” under services. From Google Home App, go to Settings and select the Nest Doorbell. Click on Doorbell and in the Features section, make sure that Visitor Announcements is active. From Sonos app, go to Settings screen and click “Manage”. Find “Voice Assistants” and add Google Assistant. Once added, click on Google Assistant and click “add to another product”. Add the Sonos speakers you want to announce. From Sonos app, go to Settings screen and click on your target Sonos device. Scroll to
Cannot add Playbar to existing system
I’ve read every article, etc. and my ROAM SL has never been able to work with the upgraded app. I only use the device to augment my TV Sonos ARC. I don’t stream music or use any other function. Can I just use the original app? I don’t want an upgrade that is killing me. Tell me where I can get the old app.
Like many, I am a victim of Sonos stupid ‘upgrade’ resulting in Error 913.I am on S2 and cannot access music, so I am looking to buy an NAS. I understand that it must have SMBv2 or 3 (I’m afraid I have no idea what this means!). I have Sonos Roam and Play 5 and my music file says it is 107GB (yes I probably do need to do some clearing out of stuff I never listen to!).I would welcome any help and suggestions for how to proceed and what exactly to look for. Thank you, Sonos friends, in advance.
Alexa has been unable to see any Sonos devices starting last Sunday. My Android app is version 08.06.04. Also, the Sonos app lost its ability to see my Connect until I did a factory reset on the connect.
After the app update I just cannot use my sonos system. I did reset the app and added my speakers to the system but the app was not responding. I deleted the app and installed it again, but still the same issue. I spent literally hours with sonos support but they provided me with no solution. The situation is so disappointing. Does anyone know any workaround ?
I purchased a Sonos Ace and Beam Gen 2. I set up my Beam Gen 2 with my surrounds (One SL and Sub Gen 1). I then set up the Sonos Ace. I then tried to use the TV Swap functionality and I was able to add the beam as a soundbar. The issue is when I actually try to swap, nothing happens and then there is a beep and the swap fails. The Beam is using Wifi. Additionally, if I then try to remove the beam as a tv swap device, it gives me an error. I am using an android device. I have ensured that all software/firmware is up to date. I have tried completely factory resetting ALL devices. I have also tried to just set up the Beam and Arc (no surrounds or sub), and nothing has worked. I would appreciate any help. Additionally, I have tried to take the advice of other posts here (turning off bluetooth and the speakers and then restarting the app, then turning them back on). So far nothing has worked. Also if it helps, im using a Google Pixel Fold on android 14
After the latest update I cannot control speaker volumes independently - I only get one volume control for the group. Isn’t that one of the values of Sonos to be able to control each room/speaker independently????
Hi @Corry P, could you report this, please?
I don't change this setting often, so I believe today it was the first time I played with it since the new app was released, and it seems to be doing nothing now. In the past, there was a big difference between Ambient / Full when listening to non-Atmos Music tracks, a.k.a. non-Spatial Music tracks, on my Beam 2 + Symfonisk surrounds.Anyone else?
