Alexa Routine is unable to play Spotify playlist in a (group)

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

I have created a routine on Alexa.

  1. Alexa, “play cool music”
  2. Routine executes→ Play “Shuffle Playlist Cool Music on (Group Name)”

In the routine, I do not have the ability to ‘play on group’ as it doesn't work. Also you only have the ability to select one device to play in the Smart Home choice in Alexa.

I have a group called FRONT and I would like to play a playlist from Spotify on FRONT through Alexa.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

You need to add the Sonos devices to a group in the Alexa app.  See this link:

Thanks, but I have the Groups configured in Alexa. The challenge is that the routine doesn't provide access to the Groups, only the individual devices, or ‘The device you speak to’.

There is no listing of the defined Groups in the ALEXA WILL RESPOND FROM:

Appreciated.
