Has anyone found a work around on thr new app.

The app keeps losing my equipment, so cannot use them.

Had anyone been able to go back to the old version of the app ??

Bose

Same here..

If you are using an Android device there are instructions on how to go back to the old version in multiple posts here.

When you say it loses your equipment are they completely gone or do they reappear?

My system “disappears” multiple times a day but usually reappears within a minute or so and if it does not a kill and restart of the App does the trick. The new App benefits from a bit of user patience 😔

I will search for these posts, yes I'm on android and it loses everything and makes me search for them again.

Mine disappears for hours the  next day will come back then gona again

Thank you

Don't bother, they patched out the ability to roll back to the previous version

@Rudie are you serious what us everyone doing I spent 1000s on equipment and can't use it I'm  fuming

You and every other Sonos user.

It seems a quadrillion complaints can't convince the execs to say “oops, sorry” and roll back to the old app, whilst they sort out the most colossal * show conceivable.

Just to be clear, if your Sonos have the capability (not all do), you can now roll back to S1 from the S2 client. It had been removed for a while, but has been returned. The .apk thing is rolling back much further, and includes the firmware, and is still available remotely, if you’re willing to chance the potential for ‘corrupted’ data. There are many threads that cover how to do this, although they’re older, now that the Sonos app allows the rollback itself.

Sonos apparently tried the ‘rollback’ suggestion internally, and it caused more issues than it solved, according to a post from the CEO.

 Not believable given the dishonesty (lies) around the new app (“all features of the old app present in the new app”).

I’ve had Zero problems with any of my Sonos for 2 years now

Not sure if it can get any worst, ATM we don't have any sonos the app loses everything and says no products and have to reconnect will prob take a chance on the rollback as never had this before

The "new" app is quite exciting, full of anticipation;

Will it work?

Will it find my system?

Which components may be missing?

Steadily getting used to the randomness of SONOS, and as previously no doubt the CEO will suddenly announce dropping support for functioning hardware.

Couple of restarts today, all working..........at present!

Mines still not finding any getting so frustrating can they not read the comments on every forum / website / app store review..

If your speakers are compatible, then downgrading to S1 is the way to go.

It is lightning fast in comparison, and you still get to use the widget.

oh, and there aren't humongous rounded corners everywhere.

I’m using the SonoPhone app on my iPhone and it works. I haven’t upgraded any firmware so I don’t know how it will perform if you’ve done that.

Humongous rounded corners everywhere? Wow, talk about frivolous complaints.

@edmountain

I disagree.  They seem to have fixed it now, but this post shows just how rushed the app was:

Regardless of how bad the app is, large rounded corners mean everything within the space is offset, and thus you lose screen real estate.

And I hate them, but that's just like, my opinion, man.

Wth? Of course if you zoom in 500% they’re going to look bigger.

If you look at the whole screen then they’re hardly noticeable. I for one didn’t even notice them at all until your post. What I did notice was an overall more pleasing aesthetic.

As you said, a lot of this is personal opinion but it seems to me that you’re just looking for things to complain about.
