I’ve been a Sonos customer since 2009 so have been through many iterations of the platform and app.
As a legacy customer, this also means I have the (unfortunate) situation of continuing to use both the S1 and S2 app - although this gives me an interesting view into the failings of the new app.
Two very quick suggestions for today for the S2 app on iPhone, both related to volume:
- The old app and the S1 app allow you to nudge the volume up and down using the volume control of the iPhone. This functionality has been removed in the S2 app. Please bring it back. It allows for far more sensitivity versus trying to move a touchscreen slider
- Can the volume control be recalibrated so it is not linear? The reason I ask is I have an Era300 in my office. It has a great sound, but most of the time it is playing in the background so I can work. As a result the volume is around 10-15 - which is RIGHT at the bottom of the slider, making it difficult to control with minimal movement available. I very rarely get above 50, when it is very loud, so if this was a non-linear scale it would be easier to manage
Another app suggestion - for both the legacy S1 and new S2 app - with the sleep timer, why can’t it be set using scrollable dials, identical to the alarm? Being limited to specific, pre-set increments seems very archaic and unnecessary.
