Sonos No Longer Appears in Spotify Connect

I have a Sonos Connect playing through my home theatre.  I can use the S1 App but usually just use Spotify.  Suddenly it no longer appears in my Spotify Connect list on devices on the same Wifi network.  This has been operating fine for 8 years.  I can use Spotify in the S1 Sonos App on my iphone but when I am in Spotify I can’t see Sonos.  Alexa can also no longer see Sonos.  My Connect has been upgrading its software automatically.  Is it possible the latest software version doesn’t support Spotify Connect?

Hi @andrev3000

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear of this issue you have been having with your Sonos system not showing up in your Spotify app.

Please open the Sonos app and remove Spotify from your Sonos system, then add it back on again:

Remove a music service account from Sonos

Add a music service to Sonos

Please also ensure that the Spotify app is signed into the same Spotify account.

If this does not work, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for this, it’s a very useful read. It hasn’t fixed this problem but could explain several others!

I have rebooted everything as outlined again and it hasn’t fixed this particular problem.  I do have full admin access to the router though and have been monitoring the allocation of IP addresses.  Spotify Connect does search for any compatible IP connected devices each time the app starts so is usually effective in finding the Sonos system (it responds with the room not the hardware actually) regardless of IP address normally.
