Why is the ray soundbar so low in volume? How is this a soundbar when my TV gets louder than this I’m so disappointed! Do I need to buy additional speakers or is it even worth it? Should I just send it back and buy something else???

Hi @KelsersJ

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

I’m sorry to hear that your new Sonos Ray is not as loud as your TV speakers.

I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports - it may well result in them looking into your replacement options.

I hope this helps.

You’ve given very little information to give us much chance to reply, other than: maybe you’ve not got things set up properly.

How are you connected? Have you set up your remote in the Sonos app? Does it play louder if you increase the volume in the app? How loud does the Ray play if you stream from a music source?

I’m connected via the audio cord and have my remote set up through the Sonos app. I have the volume turned up all the way on the Sonos app.

To clarify certain sounds when watching movies / TV like the background music / background noises are always louder than the people talking.
I purchased the 2 speakers Era 100’s to see if this helps. Just waiting on the speakers to show up.
