Connection problems galore

I’ve got 4 Plays and a Soundbar, roughly 2018. I’ve had nothing but connection issue after connection issue. The following have been random for the last couple years: OS updates requires me to delete my library and re-add, songs stop playing mid song, skips to another song, sound stops but song appears to still play, controller stops working (play, pause, etc), playlist will play but doesn’t appear in the controller, speakers disappear from the controller, mobile app nearly never works, errors saying music was lost, not encoded properly (but plays other times), queues empty, unable to connect, music no longer available (but available other times), updates fail, unexpected errors. The list goes on. Support says unplug, replug. That’s all they have. Ideas anyone? Btw there’s nothing wrong with my internet and I replaced the router anyway.

“Plays” and “soundbar” are not specific enough as a model number. Describe your network for us. Give model numbers. What is wired? Wireless? Are there any network switches? Mesh points?

After you replaced your router you should have rebooted everything on your network and “reserved” IP addresses for all regular network clients. This is a router configuration.

Your symptoms are classic symptoms of network issues. SONOS requires more robust network support than a simple phone or computer accessing the Internet.

Read the solutions on these forums, and learn how others, reporting similar problems, have resolved them. Hint: despite your belief, it often is wifi/wifi interference/ip conflict/non-fixed wifi channels that are at the root of the problem. Do as @buzz says, and then let’s see how to help you.
