Do not buy a Sonos Roam and probably any other Sonos product

I have been a Sonos fan for 11 years and then the Sonos Roam came and ruined it all.

I have bought 4 Sonos Roams in different locations for my 2 houses. 3 of the 4 have all had the same issue.... battery dies after some months. I had them on Sonos wireless charges following the recommended charging parameters and all the settings as per factory : Battery Saver On and Wifi Saver On.

I have done hard resets, tried charging via USB and every other diversion Sonos uses to obfuscate that there is a real issue with Sonos Roams so that it does not have to do a mass recall of the product that was supposed to take it main stream and add to an already strained financial position. There are endless reports of this issue and Sonos do a good job of obfuscating in the various forums.Lots of frustrated customers out there.

I have been such a committed fan of Sonos that I would have not blinked an eye lid if company stepped up and did the right thing here but it has not and with so many better alternatives out there time to make the hop not withstanding I have some 20 speakers 4 amps and 2 connects.

Do not by these companies products!

Did you call Sonos to talk about this?

You said the battery “dies” (which is ambiguous in meaning) after a few months. Are you saying the battery will no longer accept a charge?
