I am so tired of stupid UNNECESSARY updates that BREAK fully functioning systems for NO REASON.
I'm using Deezer on Sonos app, and while playing always skips the songs and shows a messages that is connection lost. How can I fix this?
Can Sonos tell us if the Play:1 will continue to be sold alongside the Sonos One for the foreseeable future?
I have had my Sonos system installed for about one month. All working as expected and I am happily showing off my system to friends. Today for the first time, my internet security software (Bitdefender Internet Protection 2019) is reporting that an Exploit attempt was blocked March 21 at 2:05 PM. Feature: Online Threat Prevention. "An SQL injection attempt was made by 10.0.0.40:1400. We blocked the connection to prevent the attacker from tampering with sensitive data" The image attached shows that 10.0.0.40 is my Sonos:One Is this a problem ? Assistance appreciated.
I have two PLAY:1 speakers that I only use when I'm getting ready for work in the morning. I've noticed that they register on my router as uploading about 3 GB of data per month EACH. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?
It would be great if Sonos could produce a stand alone, powerful waterproof outdoor speaker, which like the rest of their products, you just plug in and it connects via your wifi to your stable of Sonos speakers within your household. You just add them as another room i.e garden, or patio; or pool. Even though Sonos have recently partnered with a manufacturer of outdoor speakers, these units are not without their drawbacks. For them to link into your Sonos network they have to be connected (hardwired) either through a Sonos connect or a Sonos amp ( or another amp). Not only do you have to buy a connect or an amp if you don't have one, which I don't, it also can be expensive and or difficult hard connecting your outdoor speakers to these units. Adding the cost of installation, the cost of a connect or an amp, and the cost of speakers, make connecting an outside room, or rooms, to your Sonos stable of speakers prohibitively expensive. Not to mention the fact that it seems to run
I have a Beam, Play 1 Pair and Sub in my living room & a Play 1 in my dining room. I use all a surround, although they are listed as separate rooms. The pair in the living room crackled yesterday and today they are not working at all. I disconnected the sub and tried to reconnect it but it says unable to connect. I unplugged speaker pair and sub for 5 minutes, turned my router off and back on and plugged the speaker pair/sub back in but nothing. The Beam in the living room is working and the Play 1 in the dining room is still working but that's all. How do I reconnect the Play 1 Pair and Sub? I have tried to reconnect on both my iPhone and Ipad but nothing works.
The FCC just posted details of the IKEA lamp/speaker, confirming it is based on the Play:1. Pictures are embargoed until August 1st. Details contained in https://fccid.io/SBVRM007/Letter/C2PC-Letter-4233884
Sonos Vs IKEA image.... Do you think they go well together? I own products from both companies, however the reason I purchase from IKEA is very different to what I'm looking to when buying from a company like Sonos. In my mind IKEA is cheap, need some bedroom furniture for the kids. Sonos I consider a premium product that will last me a lifetime.... In my head the two don't go together and even if it was the same product inside the speaker case, I'd never buy it if it had IKEA stuck on the outside. Perhaps I sound snobby.
Just would like to ask all of the experts here that if I'm not using the ALEXA or GOOGLE assistant etc... Is there any difference between the PLAY 1 and SONOS ONE? Will SONOS stop upgrading the firmware of PLAY 1 or the users will not be able to use it in some years? I'm quite worry because I have 8 PLAY 1 in my apartment...
Just simply introducing myself to the community. I was a Bose Soundtouch user up until a couple of months ago. The Bose system was simply unstable. Constant reconnecting speakers, bluetooth sync delays, and their going to another platform altogether was the last straw, so sold everything on ebay and bought a 5.1 Sonos (Beam, sub, (2) play 1's) for our vacation house, and a beam, sub, (2) 1's, and (2) 5's for our main house, as well as a Connect for my home theater system in the basement. Everything works great and I have been really happy with this over the Bose Soundtouch. I would say the sound is comparable between both products, however, I think Sonos does better with mid frequencies and overall sounds "fuller" compared to Bose, at least as it relates to music.
I would like to play "made for you" songs from Spotify through my Sonos speakers without having to download each song. If I could run Spotify through Sonos bluetooth speakers without having to go through the Sonos AP this would solve the problem I think. Is there someway that I can do this?
I had a full sonos system all around the house as my surround sound for 2 TVs. My bridge died and I was forced to move to a boost with its own WiFi well that doesn’t work on the square footage of my house to my investment in sonos is worthless thanks
We got a new sofa table built, and have placed the Sonos Play 1's I have as our surround sound speakers paired with the Sonos Beam. However, as you can see we have the wire as an issue. We wanted to buy some base to pull the wire through the front of the speaker, but we are also open to ideas on how to manage the wire. Any ideas? We don't want to drill anything to the table incase we want to use the table later for another room.
I have a Beam and One currently. The speakers are in adjacent rooms and I'd like them to always both play by default when starting music. Anyone know of a way to do this? Seems like something basic that should be supported.
We just moved to a new house, and I can't find a configuration to stream music to Sonos from my NAS. Old farmhouse, thick wall, etc, the usual problems. Currently, almost the only electric gadgets connected are Sonos and the Wifi (an Orbi Mesh system, base with 4 satellites), so not much interference possible. Sonos is on Channel 1, the wireless on 11. The the LAN connection between the two is from one of the Orbi Satellites to a Sonos Bridge, and the NAS connects physically to the same Orbi. (To minimize distance over the air.) Spotify generally plays fine, NAS gets the above message - sometimes every 10 songs, sometimes all the time. My music on the NAS is almost all in FLAC. The diagnostic is 2104916441. I had the music only playing in one room on purpose (thought it might be a grouping issue). Thanks in advance Chris
I have had my sonos 3s for like 5+ years now and I love them. I also recently got the sub+playbar+play1 (old style) set. Those are great also. Ive always wanted play 5s, so i started looking into them online and found lots of issues of failure and wifi cards going out. Also, one year warranty for these seems too low in my opinion if they dont have a great reputation for lasting. Is this still the case? Has there been any production changes at least for the wifi cards? Amazon has 12% of the reviews at 1 star currently on the play5s. I'd like to get a pair of them, but I'm not prepared to gamble a G for speakers. Thanks!
There are many of us who use play 5's exclusively (or other play products) for home theatre setups. Can you include the Speech enhancement/Night Sound in a software update for everyone else?
Why do my Sonos products constantly try to update their time EVERY single second.

My Sonos Play 1 serial number 7828CAA9FD4C3 has been stolen from my premises last week. Is it possible to track it and block it? Many thanks in advance
Hi all, I noticed a huge difference of minimum volume on my beam if I play music or watch tv. The minimum volume of the tv is great, every increments (1, 2, 3, 4, ...) allow to finely adjust the volume at low level. However, when I play music through Apple Music the minimum volume is already too loud at increment 1. Is there a way to have the same volume level from tv and music and if possible based on the tv volume? Big issue for me because I cannot listen music on the morning when my room is fully quite.
Hi I have a system with 2 x beams 1 x playbar 2x Sonos speakers 1 x Sonos Amp running 2 ceiling speakers. I also use a Bridge My broadband is good with speeds of circa 30 gigs If I am playing music from 1or 2 speakers in a group the system seems to work fine but when I have all the speakers on in 1 group it starts cutting out, stopping & skipping I did a bit of reading and twice tried the trick of switching everything off including the router & switching router back on followed by each speaker individually but it made no difference. Diagnostic which was taken a minute after a skipping episode is 763375353 Regards
Currently running playbase, bridge, sub, play 1's for surround and have play 5 as room supplemental if needed. The base and bridge are direct wired into my Netgear Orbi router. Speakers are updated and current as of 03-25-2019. During all modes of playback the surrounds are clipping, it is incredibly annoying. I submitted diagnostics several minutes after the most current episode (conf code 332641865). Appreciate help if able.
So I just purchased two One's at best buy (White and Black). The black one said gen 2 which led to some confusion when I asked if I could also get a gen 2 for the white. I can't find any information about the gen 2's, except they are available on preorder at Amazon. I haven't opened the boxes yet to determine the difference. There is no information on the Sonos site about the gen 2 yet. Does anyone have any more information on what the differences are?
