Hi,

every time I turn on the TV the volume on the Arc Ultra starts at 10. I have tried lowering it from the app before turning on the TV, but it always starts at volume 10. Sometimes at night it is a bit loud and I wanted to know if there is a possibility to "remember" the previous volume or set it to a lower volume by default when the TV is turned on.

Your best bet then would be to submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. But don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, they get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

Do you perhaps have auto-volume enabled on your Samsung TV?.. See this link:

When Ultra is connected via HDMI, Auto-volume is not active on Samsung.

My Ultra-Sub-Era300 does the same (Samsung S90C), however I don't know if it's exactly 10 it's on as I don't have numbers just +/- when adjusting the volume. For me the start volume is ok, but I've thought about it, haven't found an option to adjust it on the TV or Sonos App at the moment 🤷

There isn’t a start-up volume in the Sonos App you can set - in my case with an LG TV and Arc Ultra/Surrounds, the last volume used by the soundbar is how the TV audio starts playing. I don’t see the volume slider in the Sonos App alter on start-up (see attached). Maybe contact Samsung Support and see if they can advise of a setting on the TV you can perhaps change🤔?

Yes, in my case I have the auto volume disabled. This has started to happen to me with the Arc Ultra. When I had the Arc, it did work with the previous volume I had. That makes me wonder if there is some internal Sonos setting that has changed.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try to do it in the next few days.
