Question

S2 v80 App - when is EQ coming back?

I cannot adjust treble, bass, loudness.

Takes courage to remove such basic functionality.

The EQ settings are still available under “System Settings”. Tap on the gear icon on the top right corner of the screen.

Yes, the EQ is still there, but it’s not easy to access. The previous version of the App made this a quick-use feature that was super helpful, especially when playing vinyl—and the EQ is vital, IMO. I was anticipating improved EQ functionality with a new app, only to find that it’s now considered with more of a “set it and forget it” mindset.  Maybe there are more features that make this version better, but this piece (for my use) is big enough to switch back if I had the option.

I use it daily, please bring it back!

100% agree with mywar-johnny.

why can’t you make your upgrades truly ‘upgrades’ rather than confusing deviations?  As the old saying goes:  if it ain’t broke, then break the bastard.

100% agree with this post. I mean, it’s not new that the Sonos app was not the best in terms of UI and performance. Now a new version comes in, I think great you finally listened and improved it. And then… you took away one of the best functionality that the previous version had. Takes me 4 freaking clicks to get to the EQ! How is that good UX?

The new version has a new interesting UI, but this is a major step backwards. Please bring it back!

I have both apps and it takes three clicks in both of them to get to the EQ settings.

Quit make a mountain out of a molehill with unnecessary fake information..

It’s just not intuitive AT ALL in the new app, whereas in the previous version it was within the volume menu. If you can’t see how easier it was, good for you but don’t come to this thread to pick a fight. If you’re happy with the new way of getting to the EQ, why comment here?
