Music playing through home theater sounds like transitor radio

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Hi, I have a home theater where surrounds are through Sonos amp.  the amp is connected to sonos ceiling speakers.  The music sounds like coming through transistor radio.  Quality is not good.  I have it set to full.  Ambient doesn’t sound much better.  other parts are sonos playbar and sub.  Any thoughts?

Have you performed Trueplay and adjusted the EQ settings? What is your specific music source?

Did you check connections? Speakers out of phase?

Try a different music streaming service. Spotify isn’t known for its audio quality.

This would 100% make it sound awful.

Ceiling speaker wiring phase correct? If you cannot check its worth swapping the leads on one channel at the Amp (power off) and see what it sounds like.
