Quite a few reply’s to the latest software update from Dec 2025. However, my ongoing bugbear with Sonos is how slow it is. Everytime you want to do something, volume change, selecting a new song etc, the app shuts down and opens up again. It seems that the last action is frozen especially when the display goes off. You reactivate the display and it initially shows the song it played an hour ago, shuts down, opens up (refreshes its display) and then you can start changing things…..even with the latest software update it hasn‘t made a single difference. I am using an iPad Pro. The old Sonos app was much better, but I am sure this was mentioned a couple of times before…Has anyone got a solution?

Sure sounds like a local network issue. I’d start with a simple network refresh. Power off all your Sonos devices, then reboot your router. After two minutes, power back on your Sonos devices, and wait another two minutes. Finally, open your controller and check for any updates, and apply them.

Do your testing. If this doesn’t fix the issue, I’d recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, Sonos’ lawyers get sensitive about GDPR, I suspect.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

@JRSmith42 From room view select the ellipsis menu, not the queue itself, then 'Add to Sonos playlist' -> 'New Playlist' enter the playlist name, select 'done' and that's it, playlist created👍

(Android)

Edit:

Apologies thought this had changed. Just checked and this route just creates playlist with currently playing content, not the whole queue 🤦‍♂️

No problem. I appreciate the response.
