Hello everyone,
I'm desperately trying to connect my arc to my Freesat 4k box, which is made by Arris. Although this box has only just come onto the market, I don't think it has CEC implementation.
I bought an Arcana because I want the best sound possible from the arc.
Here's the problem: every time I try to use the setup app I run into a brick wall with the message, "CEC not connected", and there is no option to move on beyond that point.
I could happily live without CEC, and I really want to hear the arc in action, so does anyone have any suggestions, (I would rather not connect using the optical adapter because that means losing sound quality).

You already have the Arcana? Your Arc will not connect to your Freestat box at all, because that is not HDM-ARC capable. The Arc needs to connect to a TV that has ARC or eARC or an Arcana.
I originally setup my Arc to connect directly to the TV, and had no issues. Once I received Arcana, I just connected to that without having to do any setup again.

I'm sorry, I really didn't explain my setup, did I? So, the HDMI out from the Freesat box goes into the Arcana, and the HDMI out goes from the Arcana to my projector. The e-arc from the Arcana goes to the Sonos arc.
The first part of the S2 setup seems to work and connect successfully, until I reach the part for testing the CEC connection which is where it cannot detect CEC.
The Arris box is a new product and is notoriously poorly supported. There is nothing in the manual or in settings which even vaguely resembles CEC so I am worried the box simply doesn't have it.
If it doesn't, how can I continue with the setup of my arc?

What if you’d complete the Sonos set up without the Arris or the Arcana and add those later? Or, if the Freesat would not be Atmos-capable, connect it direct to your TV instead of through the Arcana?

You should do the setup of the Arc with a CEC capable TV first without the Arcana. Then connect the Arcana , the Sonos and the external device to the projector and then you will not need to do the TV setup again and it will work.
