Beam + Sony 65X900F + Roku Streaming Stick Plus + Plex => DTS No Sound...

Hey All,

So I have the setup described in the title. I am trying to play videos from Plex that have DTS audio. I get no audio. I was able to get it to work by forcing the Roku to "stereo", but thats obviously not ideal. The Beam is connected to the TV via ARC and the streaming stick is plugged into one of the other HDMI ports.

Thoughts?

I tried to look through the plex settings on the roku to see if there was a way to force it to transcode, but couldn't find anything.

Sonos has the ability to deal with two kinds of signals. Stereo, or Dolby Digital. It can not read a DTS signal. The Sonos will work if you send a Dolby Digital signal to it.

Eric, I have that exact same TV, along with a 5.1 Beam setup. Using the built-in AndroidTV, you can download PLEX from the GooglePlay Store and you'll be good to go!
