Arc - Feet on the wall

The Arc is a great new soundbar, the sound is great and the aesthetic is pretty good. But when mounted on the wall using the official kit the feet are very visible.

The underside of the Arc is covered in a single piece rubber covering that has two raised bars at each end which lift the Arc when mounted on a flat surface. I’m sure they are great for that purpose, but when mounted on the wall it just looks like something that was designed to sit on a flat surface which has been stuck to the wall. This really spoils the effect and look of the soundbar.

Surely it would have been very easy to make these removable for when wall mounted. Or a replacement rubber base covering (its glued on) that comes with the wall mount kit.

This is a big miss by Sonos IMHO

@Kyle A Thank you for the consideration - Two views, standing standing and visible, seated and very visible.

Seated view of feet
Standing view feet visible

I agree, it also depends how high the Arc is mounted on the wall and seating position, but it would look better if the feet were not visible when wall mounted.

Simple solution.  Hang it on your fireplace and eventually that pad will fall right off!  My question is - does it effect the sound quality?

My question has not been answered.  If the rubber base is removed will it effect the sound on the arc adversely?  Or should I just trueplay tune it without the base on?

Hi @Mike Gutierrez.

Welcome, thank you for reaching back to Sonos Community.

Removing the rubber base will definitely void the warranty of your Sonos arc so might as well just leave it that way.

It will not do anything to improve the quality of the Sonos arc if the rubber base is removed.

Trueplay will be the best option to calibrate the room where the soundbar is.

If you need help with any other information, please be sure to let us know.
